58 Second Corinthians 4:1-7 ¹ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܠܐ ܡܐܢܐ ܠܢ ܒܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܐܚܝܕܝܢܢ ܐܝܟ ܪܚܡܐ ܕܗܘܘ ܥܠܝܢ ܀ ²ܐܠܐ ܐܤܠܝܢܢ ܟܤܝܬܗ ܕܒܗܬܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܗܠܟܝܢܢ ܒܚܪܥܘܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܟܠܝܢܢ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܓܠܝܘܬܐ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܡܚܘܝܢܢ ܢܦܫܢ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܀ ³ܘܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܟܤܝ ܗܘ ܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܕܝܠܢ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܒܕܝܢ ܗܘ ܡܟܤܝ ܀ ⁴ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܠܗܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܥܘܪ ܡܕܥܝܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܕܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܕܢܚ ܠܗܘܢ ܢܘܗܪܗ ܕܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܕܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܗܘܝܘ ܕܡܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܀ ⁵ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܦܫܢ ܡܟܪܙܝܢܢ ܐܠܐ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܪܢ ܠܢܦܫܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܒܕܝܟܘܢ ܚܢܢ ܡܛܠ ܝܫܘܥ ܀ ⁶ܡܛܠ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܡܢ ܚܫܘܟܐ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܢܕܢܚ ܗܘ ܕܢܚ ܒܠܒܘܬܢ ܕܢܬܢܗܪ ܒܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܀ ⁷ܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܕܝܢ ܤܝܡܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܒܡܐܢܐ ܕܚܨܦܐ ܕܪܒܘܬܐ ܕܚܝܠܐ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܢܢ ܀ (SYP)

58 Second Corinthians 4:1-7 ¹Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; ²But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every mans conscience in the sight of God. ³But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: ⁴In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. ⁵For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus sake. ⁶For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁷But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. (KJV)

58 Second Corinthians 4:1-7 ¹FOR this reason we are not weary of the ministry in which we are engaged, just as we are not weary of the mercies that have been upon us; ²But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, and we do not practice cunning, nor do we handle the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth we commend ourselves to every man's conscience before God. ³If our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those who are lost, ⁴To those in this world whose minds have been blinded by God, because they did not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the likeness of God, should shine on them. ⁵For we do not preach about ourselves, but about Christ Jesus our Lord; and as to ourselves, we are your servants for Jesus' sake. ⁶For God, who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so that we may be enlightened with the knowledge of the glory of God in the person of Christ. ⁷But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of power may be from God, and not from us. 58 Second Corinthians 4:1-7 ¹Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. ²We have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways; we refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. ³And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. ⁴In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God. ⁵For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. ⁶For it is the God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

⁷But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us.(RSV)

58 Second Corinthians 4:1-7 ¹Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. ²Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. ³And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. ⁴The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. ⁵For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. ⁶For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

⁷But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (NIV)
