51 Galatians 3:19-29 ¹⁹ܡܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܡܘܤܐ ܡܛܠ ܡܤܛܝܢܘܬܐ ܐܬܬܘܤܦ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܙܪܥܐ ܗܘ ܕܠܗ ܗܘܐ ܫܘܘܕܝܐ ܘܐܬܝܗܒ ܗܘ ܢܡܘܤܐ ܒܝܕ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܨܥܝܐ ܀ ²⁰ܡܨܥܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܕܚܕ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܚܕ ܗܘ ܀ ²¹ܢܡܘܤܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܤܩܘܒܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܚܤ ܐܠܘ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܝܗܒ ܗܘܐ ܢܡܘܤܐ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܫܟܚ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܚܝܘ ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܡܢ ܢܡܘܤܐ ܗܘܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܀ ²²ܐܠܐ ܚܒܫ ܟܬܒܐ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܬܚܝܬ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܕܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܬܝܗܒ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ ܀ ²³ܥܕܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܐܬܐ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܢܡܘܤܐ ܢܛܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܟܕ ܚܒܝܫܝܢܢ ܠܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܥܬܝܕܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܡܬܓܠܝܘ ܀ ²⁴ܢܡܘܤܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܪܐܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܠܘܬ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܢܙܕܕܩ ܀ ²⁵ܟܕ ܐܬܬ ܕܝܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܬܪܐܐ ܀ ²⁶ܟܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܀ ²⁷ܐܝܠܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܥܡܕܬܘܢ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܒܫܬܘܢ ܀ ²⁸ܠܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܠܝܬ ܥܒܕܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܪ ܚܐܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܕܟܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܩܒܬܐ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܚܕ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܀ ²⁹ܘܐܢ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܟܝܠ ܙܪܥܗ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ ܘܝܪܬܐ ܒܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܀ (SYP)

51 Galatians 3:19-29 ¹⁹Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. ²⁰Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. ²¹Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. ²²But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

²³But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. ²⁴Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. ²⁶For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. ²⁷For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. ²⁸There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹And if ye be Christs, then are ye Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise.(KJV)

God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law. ²²But the scriptures shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. ²³But before faith came, we were kept in ward under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. ²⁴So that the law is become our tutor to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵But now faith that is come, we are no longer under a tutor. ²⁶For ye are all sons of God, through faith, in Christ Jesus. ²⁷For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ. ²⁸There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one man in Christ Jesus. ²⁹And if ye are Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise.(ASV)

51 Galatians 3:19-29 ¹⁹¶ Then what is the use of the law? It was added because of transgression, till the coming of the heir to whom the promise was made; and the law was given by angels by the hand of a mediator. ²⁰Now a mediator does not represent one alone, but God is one. ²¹Is the law then against the promises of God? Far be it; for if a law had been given which could have wrought salvation, righteousness would truly have come as the result of the law. ²²But the scripture has included everything under sin, that the promise by the faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. ²³But before faith came, we were guided by the law, while we were waiting for the faith which was to be revealed. ²⁴The law then was our pathfinder to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵But since faith has come, we no longer are in need of the pathfinder. ²⁶For you are all the children of God by faith in Jesus Christ. ²⁷For those who have been baptized in the name of Christ have been clothed with Christ. ²⁸There is neither Jew nor Aramean, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Jesus Christ. ²⁹So if you belong to Christ, then you are descendants of Abraham, and his heirs according to the promise. 51 Galatians 3:19-29 ¹⁹Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the offspring should come to whom the promise had been made; and it was ordained by angels through an intermediary. ²⁰Now an intermediary implies more than one; but God is one.

²¹Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not; for if a law had been given which could make alive, then righteousness would indeed be by the law. ²²But the scripture consigned all things to sin, that what was promised to faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

²³Now before faith came, we were confined under the law, kept under restraint until faith should be revealed. ²⁴So that the law was our custodian until Christ came, that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a custodian; ²⁶for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. ²⁷For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. ²⁸There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.(RSV)

51 Galatians 3:19-29 ¹⁹What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was put into effect through angels by a mediator. ²⁰A mediator, however, does not represent just one party; but God is one.

²¹Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. ²²But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

²³Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. ²⁴So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.

²⁶You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, ²⁷for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. ²⁸There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.(NIV)
