50 First Corinthians 1:10-17 ¹⁰Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. ¹¹For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. ¹²Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. ¹³Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? ¹⁴I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; ¹⁵Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. ¹⁶And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. ¹⁷For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.(KJV)

50 First Corinthians 1:10-17 ¹⁰¶ Now I beseech you, my brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to be of one accord, and let there be no divisions among you but be perfectly united in one mind and in one thought. ¹¹For I have been informed about you, my brethren, by the household of Chloe that there are disputes among you. ¹²Now this I say because there are some among you who say, I am a follower of Paul; and some who say, I am a follower of Apollos; and some who say, I am a follower of Kepa; and some who say, I am a follower of Christ. ¹³Why? Is Christ divided? or was Paul crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

¹⁴¶ I confess to my God that I have baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius; ¹⁵So no man can say that I have baptized in my own name. ¹⁶And I baptized also the household of Stephanas. I do not know whether I have baptized any one else.

¹⁷¶ For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel; and not to rely on the wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be in vain. (LAM)

50 First Corinthians 1:10-17 ¹⁰I appeal to you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree and that there be no dissensions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. ¹¹For it has been reported to me by Chlo'e's people that there is quarreling among you, my brethren. ¹²What I mean is that each one of you says, "I belong to Paul," or "I belong to Apol'los," or "I belong to Cephas," or "I belong to Christ." ¹³Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? ¹⁴I am thankful that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Ga'ius; ¹⁵lest any one should say that you were baptized in my name. ¹⁶(I did baptize also the household of Steph'anas. Beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any one else.) ¹⁷For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.(RSV)

¹³Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? ¹⁴I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, ¹⁵so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. ¹⁶(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) ¹⁷For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel -- not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.(NIV)

Or were you immersed into the name of Paul? ¹⁴I thank God that I immersed none of you, except Crispus and Gaius, ¹⁵so that no one should say that I had immersed you into my own name. ¹⁶(I also immersed the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don't know whether I immersed any other.) ¹⁷For Messiah sent me not to immerse, but to proclaim the Good News'not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Messiah wouldn't be made void.
