44 Acts 5:17-25 ¹⁷ܘܐܬܡܠܝ ܗܘܐ ܚܤܡܐ ܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܥܡܗ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢ ܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܙܕܘܩܝܐ ܀ ¹⁸ܘܐܪܡܝܘ ܐܝܕܝܐ ܥܠ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܘܐܚܕܘ ܐܤܪܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܀ ¹⁹ܗܝܕܝܢ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܦܬܚ ܬܪܥܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܘܐܦܩ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܀ ²⁰ܙܠܘ ܩܘܡܘ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܡܠܠܘ ܠܥܡܐ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܠܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܚܝܐ ܀ ²¹ܘܢܦܩܘ ܥܕܢ ܫܦܪܐ ܘܥܠܘ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܡܠܦܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܥܡܗ ܩܪܘ ܠܚܒܪܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܩܫܝܫܐ ܕܐܝܤܪܝܠ ܘܫܕܪܘ ܠܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܕܢܝܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܫܠܝܚܐ ܀ ²²ܘܟܕ ܐܙܠܘ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܫܬܕܪܘ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܘܗܦܟܘ ܐܬܘ ܀ ²³ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܫܟܚܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܕܐܚܝܕ ܙܗܝܪܐܝܬ ܘܐܦ ܠܢܛܘܪܐ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܥܠ ܬܪܥܐ ܘܦܬܚܢ ܘܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܢ ܬܡܢ ܀ ²⁴ܘܟܕ ܫܡܥܘ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܠܐ ܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܐܪܟܘܢܐ ܕܗܝܟܠܐ ܬܘܝܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܡܬܚܫܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܗܕܐ ܀ ²⁵ܘܐܬܐ ܐܢܫ ܐܘܕܥ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܚܒܫܬܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܗܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܡܠܦܝܢ ܠܥܡܐ ܀ (SYP)

44 Acts 5:17-25 ¹⁷Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation, ¹⁸And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison. ¹⁹But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, ²⁰Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. ²¹And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel and sent to the prison to have them brought. ²²But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told, ²³Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within. ²⁴Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow. ²⁵Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison-house to have them brought. ²²But the officers that came found them not in the prison; and they returned, and told, ²³saying, The prison-house we found shut in all safety, and the keepers standing at the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within. ²⁴Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were much perplexed concerning them whereunto this would grow. ²⁵And there came one and told them, Behold, the men whom ye put in the prison are in the temple standing and teaching the people. 44 Acts 5:17-25 ¹⁷¶ Then the high priest was filled with jealousy and all of those who were with him, for they were adherents to the teachings of the Sadducees, ¹⁸So they laid hands on the apostles and arrested them and bound them in prison. ¹⁹But during the night, the angel of the Lord opened the door of the prison and brought them forth and said to them, ²⁰Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all these words of life. ²¹Accordingly they went out early in the morning and entered into the temple and taught the people. But the high priest and those who were with him called their associates and the elders of Israel, and sent to the prison to bring the apostles. ²²And when those who were sent by them went and did not find them in the prison, they returned, ²³Saying, We found the prison carefully locked and also the guards standing at the doors; and we opened them but found no man there. ²⁴When the high priest and the leaders of the temple heard these words, they were astonished at them and they were reasoning how it could happen, ²⁵When a man came and informed them, Behold! The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people. (LAM)

44 Acts 5:17-25 ¹⁷But the high priest rose up and all who were with him, that is, the party of the Sad'ducees, and filled with jealousy ¹⁸they arrested the apostles and put them in the common prison. ¹⁹But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out and said, ²⁰"Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life." ²¹And when they heard this, they entered the temple at daybreak and taught.

Now the high priest came and those who were with him and called together the council and all the senate of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought. ²²But when the officers came, they did not find them in the prison, and they returned and reported, ²³"We found the prison securely locked and the sentries standing at the doors, but when we opened it we found no one inside." ²⁴Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were much perplexed about them, wondering what this would come to. ²⁵And some one came and told them, "The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people." (RSV)

44 Acts 5:17-25 ¹⁷Then the high priest and all his associates, who were members of the party of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy. ¹⁸They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail. ¹⁹But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. ²⁰"Go, stand in the temple courts," he said, "and tell the people the full message of this new life."

²¹At daybreak they entered the temple courts, as they had been told, and began to teach the people. When the high priest and his associates arrived, they called together the Sanhedrin -- the full assembly of the elders of Israel -- and sent to the jail for the apostles. ²²But on arriving at the jail, the officers did not find them there. So they went back and reported, ²³"We found the jail securely locked, with the guards standing at the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside." ²⁴On hearing this report, the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests were puzzled, wondering what would come of this.

²⁵Then someone came and said, "Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple courts teaching the people." (NIV)

They returned and reported, ²³'We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside!'

²⁴Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were very perplexed about them and what might become of this. ²⁵One came and told them, 'Behold, the men whom you_P put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people.' (WEB)
