43 Luke 23:44-49 ⁴⁴And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. ⁴⁵And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

⁴⁶And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. ⁴⁷Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man. ⁴⁸And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned. ⁴⁹And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.(KJV)

43 Luke 23:44-49 ⁴⁴And it was about the hour 6, and there was a darkness over all the earth until hour 9. ⁴⁵And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

⁴⁶And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. ⁴⁷Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man. ⁴⁸And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned. ⁴⁹And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.(KJV/NC)

43 Luke 23:44-49 ⁴⁴¶ Now it was about the sixth hour, and darkness fell upon the whole earth, and lasted until the ninth hour. ⁴⁵And the sun was darkened, and the curtains at the door of the temple were torn in the center. ⁴⁶Then Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, O my Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. He said this and it was finished ⁴⁷When the centurion saw what had happened, he praised God and said. Truly this was a righteous man. ⁴⁸And all the people who were gathered together to see this sight, when they saw what had happened, returned, beating their breasts. ⁴⁹And all the acquaintances of Jesus stood afar off, and the women who had come with him from Galilee, and they were beholding these things. 43 Luke 23:44-49 ⁴⁴while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. ⁴⁵Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!" And having said this he breathed his last. ⁴⁶Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, and said, "Certainly this man was innocent!" ⁴⁷And all the multitudes who assembled to see the sight, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts. ⁴⁸And all his acquaintances and the women who had followed him from Galilee stood at a distance and saw these things.

⁴⁹Now there was a man named Joseph from the Jewish town of Arimathe'a. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man, (RSV)

43 Luke 23:44-49 ⁴⁴It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, ⁴⁵for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. ⁴⁶Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last.

⁴⁷The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man." ⁴⁸When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts and went away. ⁴⁹But all those who knew him, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.(NIV)
