26And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.
27And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.
28But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
29For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
30Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
31For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

29For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never gave birth and the breasts that never gave suck.
30Then they will begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
31For if they do these things with the green wood, what will be done with dry wood? (LAM)

26And there followed him a great multitude of the people, and of women who bewailed and lamented him.
27But Jesus turning to them said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.
28For behold, the days are coming when they will say, `Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never gave suck!'
29Then they will begin to say to the mountains, `Fall on us'; and to the hills, `Cover us.'
30For if they do this when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?"
31Two others also, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him.

26As they led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.
27A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him.
28Jesus turned and said to them, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children.
29For the time will come when you will say, `Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!'
30Then "`they will say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!"'
31For if men do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?"(NIV)
