43 Luke 22:39-46 ³⁹ܘܢܦܩ ܘܐܙܠ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܥܕ ܗܘܐ ܠܛܘܪܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܙܝܬܐ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܒܬܪܗ ܐܦ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܀ ⁴⁰ܘܟܕ ܡܛܝ ܠܕܘܟܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܨܠܘ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܤܝܘܢܐ ܀ ⁴¹ܘܗܘ ܦܪܩ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܡܫܕܐ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܤܡ ܒܘܪܟܘܗܝ ܘܡܨܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܀ ⁴²ܘܐܡܪ ܐܒܐ ܐܢ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܢܥܒܪܢܝ ܟܤܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܪܡ ܠܐ ܨܒܝܢܝ ܐܠܐ ܕܝܠܟ ܢܗܘܐ ܀ ⁴³ܘܐܬܚܙܝ ܠܗ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܕܡܚܝܠ ܠܗ ܀ ⁴⁴ܘܟܕ ܗܘܐ ܒܕܚܠܬܐ ܬܟܝܒܐܝܬ ܡܨܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܘܗܘܬ ܕܘܥܬܗ ܐܝܟ ܫܠܬܐ ܕܕܡܐ ܘܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܀ ⁴⁵ܘܩܡ ܡܢ ܨܠܘܬܗ ܘܐܬܐ ܠܘܬ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܫܟܚ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܕ ܕܡܟܝܢ ܡܢ ܥܩܬܐ ܀ ⁴⁶ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܕܡܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܩܘܡܘ ܨܠܘ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܤܝܘܢܐ ܀ (SYP)

43 Luke 22:39-46 ³⁹And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. ⁴⁰And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. ⁴¹And he was withdrawn from them about a stones cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, ⁴²Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. ⁴³And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. ⁴⁴And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. ⁴⁵And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, ⁴⁶And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.(KJV)

43 Luke 22:39-46 ³⁹And he came out, and went, as his custom was, unto the mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed him. ⁴⁰And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. ⁴¹And he was parted from them about a stone's cast; and he kneeled down and prayed, ⁴²saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. ⁴³And there appeared unto him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. ⁴⁴And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became as it were great drops of blood falling down upon the ground. ⁴⁵And when he rose up from his prayer, he came unto the disciples, and found them sleeping for sorrow, ⁴⁶and said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. 43 Luke 22:39-46 ³⁹¶ And he came out and went away, as it was his custom, to the mount of the Place of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. ⁴⁰And when he arrived at a certain place, he said to them, Pray that you may not enter into temptation. ⁴¹And he withdrew from them, about the distance of a stone's throw, and he knelt down and prayed, ⁴²Saying, O Father, if thou wilt let this cup pass from me; but not as I will, but thy will be done. ⁴³And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, to strengthen him. ⁴⁴And he was in fear, and prayed earnestly; and his sweat became like drops of blood; and he fell down upon the ground. ⁴⁵Then he rose up from his prayer and came to his disciples and found them sleeping because of distress. ⁴⁶And he said to them, Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation. (LAM)

⁴⁵While he was still speaking, there came a crowd, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him; ⁴⁶but Jesus said to him, "Judas, would you betray the Son of man with a kiss?" (RSV)

43 Luke 22:39-46 ³⁹Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. ⁴⁰On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." ⁴¹He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, ⁴²"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." ⁴³An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. ⁴⁴And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.

⁴⁵When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow. ⁴⁶"Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation."(NIV)
