43 Luke 22:31-38 ³¹ܘܐܡܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܗܐ ܤܛܢܐ ܫܐܠ ܕܢܥܪܘܒܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܚܛܐ ܀ ³²ܘܐܢܐ ܒܥܝܬ ܥܠܝܟ ܕܠܐ ܬܚܤܪ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟ ܐܦ ܐܢܬ ܒܙܒܢ ܐܬܦܢܝ ܘܫܪܪ ܐܚܝܟ ܀ ³³ܫܡܥܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܝ ܥܡܟ ܡܛܝܒ ܐܢܐ ܘܠܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܘܠܡܘܬܐ ܀ ³⁴ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܩܪܐ ܬܪܢܓܠܐ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܬܠܬ ܙܒܢܝܢ ܬܟܦܘܪ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܬ ܠܝ ܀ ³⁵ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܟܕ ܫܕܪܬܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܟܝܤܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܬܪܡܠܐ ܘܡܤܢܐ ܠܡܐ ܚܤܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܘܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܀ ³⁶ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܡܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܟܝܤܐ ܢܤܒ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܬܪܡܠܐ ܘܡܢ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܤܝܦܐ ܢܙܒܢ ܢܚܬܗ ܘܢܙܒܢ ܠܗ ܤܝܦܐ ܀ ³⁷ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܦ ܗܕܐ ܕܟܬܝܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܕܬܬܡܠܐ ܒܝ ܕܥܡ ܥܘܠܐ ܐܬܡܢܐ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܥܠܝ ܐܫܬܠܡ ܀ ³⁸ܘܗܢܘܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܪܢ ܗܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܐܝܬ ܬܪܝܢ ܤܝܦܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܤܦܩܝܢ ܀ (SYP)

43 Luke 22:31-38 ³¹And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: ³²But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. ³³And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. ³⁴And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me. ³⁵And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. ³⁶Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. ³⁷For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. ³⁸And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.(KJV)

And they said, Nothing. ³⁶And he said unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet; and he that hath none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword. ³⁷For I say unto you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in me, And he was reckoned with transgressors: for that which concerneth me hath fulfilment. ³⁸And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. 43 Luke 22:31-38 ³¹And Jesus said to Simon, Simon, behold, Satan wants to sift all of you like wheat; ³²But I have made supplication for you that your faith may not weaken; and even you in time will repent and strengthen your brethren. ³³Simon said to him, My Lord, I am ready with you, even for the prison and for death. ³⁴Jesus said to him, I say to you, Simon, the cock will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me. ³⁵And he said to them, When I sent you out without purses and without bags and shoes, did you lack anything? They said to him, Not a thing. ³⁶He said to them, From now on he who has purses, let him take them, and the bag likewise; and he who has no sword, let him sell his robe and buy for himself a sword. ³⁷For I say to you that what is written must be fulfilled in me, He will be numbered among the wicked; for all the things concerning me will be fulfilled. ³⁸And they said to him, Our Lord, behold here are two swords. He said to them, That is enough. (LAM)

³⁵And he said to them, "When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing." ³⁶He said to them, "But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one. ³⁷For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, `And he was reckoned with transgressors'; for what is written about me has its fulfilment." ³⁸And they said, "Look, Lord, here are two swords." And he said to them, "It is enough."(RSV)

43 Luke 22:31-38 ³¹"Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. ³²But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."

³³But he replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death."

³⁴Jesus answered, "I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me."

³⁵Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?" "Nothing," they answered.

³⁶He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. ³⁷It is written: `And he was numbered with the transgressors'; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment."

³⁸The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords." "That is enough," he replied.(NIV)
