43 Luke 13:23-30 ²³ܫܐܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܫ ܕܐܢ ܙܥܘܪܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܐܝܢ ܀ ²⁴ܝܫܘܥ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܬܟܬܫܘ ܠܡܥܠ ܒܬܪܥܐ ܐܠܝܨܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܤܓܝܐܐ ܢܒܥܘܢ ܠܡܥܠ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܟܚܘܢ ܀ ²⁵ܡܢ ܫܥܬܐ ܕܢܩܘܡ ܡܪܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܘܢܐܚܘܕ ܬܪܥܐ ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܠܒܪ ܘܢܩܫܝܢ ܒܬܪܥܐ ܘܬܫܪܘܢ ܠܡܐܡܪ ܡܪܢ ܡܪܢ ܦܬܚ ܠܢ ܘܢܥܢܐ ܗܘ ܘܢܐܡܪ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܀ ²⁶ܘܬܫܪܘܢ ܠܡܐܡܪ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܐܟܠܢ ܘܐܫܬܝܢ ܘܒܫܘܩܝܢ ܐܠܦܬ ܀ ²⁷ܘܢܐܡܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܦܪܘܩܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢܝ ܦܠܚܝ ܫܘܩܪܐ ܀ ²⁸ܬܡܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܟܝܐ ܘܚܘܪܩ ܫܢܐ ܟܕ ܬܚܙܘܢ ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܘܠܐܝܤܚܩ ܘܠܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܢܒܝܐ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܦܩܝܢ ܠܒܪ ܀ ²⁹ܘܢܐܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܕܢܚܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܥܪܒܐ ܘܡܢ ܬܝܡܢܐ ܘܡܢ ܓܪܒܝܐ ܘܢܤܬܡܟܘܢ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܀ ³⁰ܘܗܐ ܐܝܬ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܀ (SYP)

43 Luke 13:23-30 ²³Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

²⁴Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. ²⁵When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: ²⁶Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. ²⁷But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. ²⁸There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. ²⁹And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. ³⁰And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.(KJV)

And he said unto them, ²⁴Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able. ²⁵When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are; ²⁶then shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets; ²⁷and he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. ²⁸There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without. ²⁹And they shall come from the east and west, and from the north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. ³⁰And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last. Jesus said to them, ²⁴Strive to enter in through the narrow door; for I say to you, that many will seek to enter in and will not be able. ²⁵From the hour when the master of the house rises up and locks the door, you will be standing outside and knocking at the door, and you will begin to say, Our Lord, our Lord, open for us; and he will answer, saying, I say to you, I do not know you or where you come from. ²⁶And you will begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you taught in our streets. ²⁷And he will say to you, I do not know you or where you come from; depart from me, O you workers of iniquity. ²⁸There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you will be thrown outside. ²⁹And they will come from the east and from the west and from the south and from the north, and sit down in the kingdom of God. ³⁰And behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last. And he said to them, ²⁴"Strive to enter by the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. ²⁵When once the householder has risen up and shut the door, you will begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, `Lord, open to us.' He will answer you, `I do not know where you come from.' ²⁶Then you will begin to say, `We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.' <sup>27</sup>But he will say, `I tell you, I do not know where you come from; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity!' ²⁸There you will weep and gnash your teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God and you yourselves thrust out. ²⁹And men will come from east and west, and from north and south, and sit at table in the kingdom of God. ³⁰And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last."(RSV)

43 Luke 13:23-30 ²³Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, ²⁴"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. ²⁵Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, `Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, `I don't know you or where you come from.'

²⁶"Then you will say, `We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'

²⁷"But he will reply, `I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'

²⁸"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. ²⁹People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. ³⁰Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last."(NIV)
