42 Mark 14:53-65 ⁵³ܘܐܘܒܠܘܗܝ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܠܘܬ ܩܝܦܐ ܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܤܦܪܐ ܘܩܫܝܫܐ ܀ ⁵⁴ܫܡܥܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܪܘܚܩܐ ܐܬܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܬܪܗ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܓܘ ܕܪܬܐ ܕܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܝܬܒ ܗܘܐ ܥܡ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ ܘܫܚܢ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܢܘܪܐ ܀ ⁵⁵ܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܟܠܗ ܟܢܫܗܘܢ ܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܠ ܝܫܘܥ ܤܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܢܡܝܬܘܢܝܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܘ ܀ ⁵⁶ܟܕ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܤܗܕܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܠܐ ܫܘܝܢ ܗܘܝ ܤܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ ܀ ⁵⁷ܐܢܫܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܩܡܘ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܤܗܕܐ ܕܫܘܩܪܐ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܀ ⁵⁸ܕܚܢܢ ܫܡܥܢܝܗܝ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܐܢܐ ܫܪܐ ܐܢܐ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܥܒܝܕ ܒܐܝܕܝܐ ܘܠܬܠܬܐ ܝܘܡܝܢ ܒܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܥܒܝܕ ܒܐܝܕܝܐ ܀ ⁵⁹ܘܐܦܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܫܘܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܤܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ ܀ ⁶⁰ܘܩܡ ܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܒܡܨܥܬܐ ܘܫܐܠܗ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܡܦܢܐ ܐܢܬ ܦܬܓܡܐ ܡܢܐ ܡܤܗܕܝܢ ܥܠܝܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܀ ⁶¹ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܫܬܝܩ ܗܘܐ ܘܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܥܢܝܗܝ ܘܬܘܒ ܫܐܠܗ ܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܡܒܪܟܐ ܀ ⁶²ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܬܚܙܘܢ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܝܬܒ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܥܠ ܥܢܢܝ ܫܡܝܐ ܀ ⁶³ܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܨܪܐ ܟܘܬܝܢܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܢܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܡܬܒܥܝܢ ܠܢ ܤܗܕܐ ܀ ⁶⁴ܗܐ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܗ ܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܓܘܕܦܐ ܡܢܐ ܡܬܚܙܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܢܘ ܕܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܡܘܬܐ ܀ ⁶⁵ܘܫܪܝܘ ܐܢܫܝܢ ܪܩܝܢ ܒܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܘܡܚܦܝܢ ܐܦܘܗܝ ܘܡܩܦܚܝܢ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܬܢܒܐ ܘܕܚܫܐ ܡܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܥܠ ܦܟܘܗܝ ܀ (SYP)

42 Mark 14:53-65 ⁵³And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. ⁵⁴And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire. ⁵⁵And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none. ⁵⁶For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together. ⁵⁷And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying, ⁵⁸We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands. ⁵⁹But neither so did their witness agree together. ⁶⁰And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? ⁶¹But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? ⁶²And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. ⁶³Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? ⁶⁴Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. ⁶⁵And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.(KJV)

42 Mark 14:53-65 ⁵³And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and there come together with him all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. ⁵⁴And Peter had followed him afar off, even within, into the court of the high priest; and he was sitting with the officers, and warming himself in the light of the fire. ⁵⁵Now the chief priests and the whole council sought witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found it not. ⁵⁶For many bare false witness against him, and their witness agreed not together. ⁵⁷And there stood up certain, and bare false witness against him, saying, ⁵⁸We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands. ⁵⁹And not even so did their witness agree together. ⁶⁰And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? ⁶¹But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and saith unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? ⁶²And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven. ⁶³And the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What further need have we of witnesses? ⁶⁴Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be worthy of death. ⁶⁵And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the officers received him with blows of their hands. 42 Mark 14:53-65 ⁵³¶ And they took Jesus to Caiaphas the high priest; and there gathered to him all the high priests and the scribes and the elders. ⁵⁴But Simon followed him afar off, up to the courtyard of the high priest; and he sat with the servants, warming himself before the fire. ⁵⁵The high priests and the whole council were seeking testimony against Jesus so that they might put him to death; but they could not find it. ⁵⁶For even though many testified against him, their testimony was not worthy. ⁵⁷Then some men who were false witnesses stood up against him and said, ⁵⁸We heard him say, I will tear down this temple which is made with hands, and in three days I will build another which is not made with hands. ⁵⁹But even this testimony was not worthy. ⁶⁰Then the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Do you not answer? What do these men testify against you? ⁶¹But Jesus was silent, and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, saying, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One? ⁶²Jesus said to him, I am; and you will see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power and coming upon the clouds of the sky. ⁶³Then the high priest tore his robe, and said, Why therefore do we need witnesses? ⁶⁴Behold, you have heard blasphemy from his own mouth; what do you think? And they all decided that he was guilty of death. ⁶⁵Then some of the men began to spit in his face, and they covered his face and struck him on his head, saying, Prophesy; and the soldiers smote him on his cheeks. 42 Mark 14:53-65 ⁵³And they led Jesus to the high priest; and all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes were assembled. ⁵⁴And Peter had followed him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest; and he was sitting with the guards, and warming himself at the fire. ⁵⁵Now the chief priests and the whole council sought testimony against Jesus to put him to death; but they found none. ⁵⁶For many bore false witness against him, and their witness did not agree. ⁵⁷And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying, ⁵⁸"We heard him say, `I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, not made with hands.'" ⁵⁹Yet not even so did their testimony agree. ⁶⁰And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, "Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?" ⁶¹But he was silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" ⁶²And Jesus said, "I am; and you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven." ⁶³And the high priest tore his garments, and said, "Why do we still need witnesses? ⁶⁴You have heard his blasphemy. What is your decision?" And they all condemned him as deserving death. ⁶⁵And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to strike him, saying to him, "Prophesy!" And the guards received him with blows.(RSV)

42 Mark 14:53-65 ⁵³They took Jesus to the high priest, and all the chief priests, elders and teachers of the law came together. ⁵⁴Peter followed him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. There he sat with the guards and warmed himself at the fire.

⁵⁵The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find any. ⁵⁶Many testified falsely against him, but their statements did not agree.

⁵⁷Then some stood up and gave this false testimony against him: ⁵⁸"We heard him say, `I will destroy this man-made temple and in three days will build another, not made by man.'" ⁵⁹Yet even then their testimony did not agree.

⁶⁰Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?" ⁶¹But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?"

⁶²"I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

⁶³The high priest tore his clothes. "Why do we need any more witnesses?" he asked. ⁶⁴"You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?" They all condemned him as worthy of death. ⁶⁵Then some began to spit at him; they blindfolded him, struck him with their fists, and said, "Prophesy!" And the guards took him and beat him.(NIV)

⁶⁰The high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, 'Have you no answer? What is it which these testify against you?' ⁶¹But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, 'Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?'

⁶²Jesus said, 'I AM. You_P will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky.'

⁶³The high priest tore his clothes, and said, 'What further need have we of witnesses? ⁶⁴You_P have heard the blasphemy! What do you_P think?' They all condemned him to be worthy of death. ⁶⁵Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, 'Prophesy!' ⁵⁴Peter had followed him from a distance, until he came into the court of the high priest. He was sitting with the officers, and warming himself in the light of the fire. ⁵⁵Now the chief priests and the whole council sought witnesses against Yeshua to put him to death, and found none. ⁵⁶For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony didn't agree with each other. ⁵⁷Some stood up, and gave false testimony against him, saying, ⁵⁸'We heard him say, 'I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.'' ⁵⁹Even so, their testimony did not agree.

⁶⁰The high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Yeshua, 'Have you no answer? What is it which these testify against you?' ⁶¹But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, 'Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed?'

⁶²Yeshua said, 'I am. You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky.'

⁶³The high priest tore his clothes, and said, 'What further need have we of witnesses? ⁶⁴You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?' They all condemned him to be worthy of death. ⁶⁵Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, 'Prophesy!'
