42 Mark 8:10-21 ¹⁰And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha. ¹¹And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. ¹²And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. ¹³And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.

¹⁴Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. ¹⁵And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. ¹⁶And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. ¹⁷And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? ¹⁸Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? ¹⁹When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. ²⁰And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven. ²¹And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?(KJV)

They say unto him, Twelve. ²⁰And when the seven among the four thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces took ye up? And they say unto him, Seven. ²¹And he said unto them, Do ye not yet understand? (ASV)

42 Mark 8:10-21 ¹⁰¶ And immediately he went into the boat with his disciples, and he came to the country of Dalmanutha. ¹¹And the Pharisees came out and began to question him, and they asked him for a sign from heaven, so as to test him. ¹²And he sighed in his spirit and said, Why does this generation want a sign? Truly I say to you, No sign will be given to this generation. ¹³And he left them, and went up into the boat, and departed from that port. ¹⁴And they had forgotten to take bread; except one loaf they had none with them in the boat. ¹⁵And he commanded them and said to them, Watch out, and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herod. ¹⁶They were reasoning among themselves and saying, It is because we have no bread. ¹⁷But Jesus knew it and said to them, What are you thinking, because you have no bread? Do you not even yet know, and do you not understand? Is your heart still hard? ¹⁸You have eyes, and yet do you not see? You have ears, and yet do you not hear? And do you not remember? ¹⁹When I broke the five loaves of bread for the five thousand, how many full baskets of fragments did you take up? They said to him, Twelve. ²⁰He said to them, And when the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up? They said, Seven. ²¹He said to them, How is it then that even yet you cannot understand? (LAM)

42 Mark 8:10-21 ¹⁰And he sent them away; and immediately he got into the boat with his disciples, and went to the district of Dalmanu'tha.

¹¹The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, to test him. ¹²And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation." ¹³And he left them, and getting into the boat again he departed to the other side.

¹⁴Now they had forgotten to bring bread; and they had only one loaf with them in the boat. ¹⁵And he cautioned them, saying, "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod." ¹⁶And they discussed it with one another, saying, "We have no bread." ¹⁷And being aware of it, Jesus said to them, "Why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened? ¹⁸Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember? ¹⁹When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They said to him, "Twelve." ²⁰"And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" And they said to him, "Seven." ²¹And he said to them, "Do you not yet understand?"(RSV)

42 Mark 8:10-21 ¹⁰he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha.

¹¹The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven. ¹²He sighed deeply and said, "Why does this generation ask for a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to it." ¹³Then he left them, got back into the boat and crossed to the other side.

¹⁴The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat. ¹⁵"Be careful," Jesus warned them. "Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod."

¹⁶They discussed this with one another and said, "It is because we have no bread."

¹⁷Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: "Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? ¹⁸Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don't you remember? ¹⁹When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?" "Twelve," they replied.

²⁰"And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?" They answered, "Seven."

²¹He said to them, "Do you still not understand?"(NIV)

42 Mark 8:10-21 ¹⁰Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the region of Dalmanutha. ¹¹The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, and testing him. ¹²He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, 'Why does this generation seek a sign? Most assuredly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.'

¹³He left them, and again entering into the boat, departed to the other side. ¹⁴They forgot to take bread; and they didn't have more than one loaf in the boat with them. ¹⁵He charged them, saying, 'Take heed: beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.'

¹⁶They reasoned with one another, saying, 'It's because we have no bread.'

¹⁷Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, 'Why do you_P reason that it's because you_P have no bread? Don't you_P perceive yet, neither understand? Is your_P heart still hardened? ¹⁸Having eyes, don't you_P see? Having ears, don't you_P hear? ¹⁷Yeshua, perceiving it, said to them, 'Why do you reason that it's because you have no bread? Don't you perceive yet, neither understand? Is your heart still hardened? ¹⁸Having eyes, don't you see? Having ears, don't you hear? Don't you remember? ¹⁹When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?'

They told him, 'Twelve.'

²⁰'When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?'

They told him, 'Seven.'
