41 Matthew 18:21-35
23Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.(KJV) 41 Matthew 18:21-35
23Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24And when he had begun to reckon, 1 was brought unto him, which owed him 10000 talents. 28But the same servant went out, and found 1 of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every 1 his brother their trespasses.(KJV/NC) 41 Matthew 18:21-35
41 Matthew 18:21-35
23¶ Therefore the kingdom of heaven is likened to a king who wanted to take an accounting from his servants. 24And when he began to take the accounting, they brought to him one who owed ten thousand talents. 25And as he could not pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, together with his wife and children, and all that he had, so that he could pay. 26The servant then fell down, worshipped him, and said, My lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you everything. 27Then the master of that servant had pity, so he released him, and cancelled his debt. 28But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow-servants, who owed him one hundred cents; and he seized him, and tried to choke him, saying to him, Give me what you owe me. 29So his fellow-servant fell down at his feet, and begged him and said, Have patience with me, and I will pay you. 30But he was not willing; and he went and had him put into prison, until he should pay him what he owed him. 31When their fellow-servants saw what had happened, they were very sorry, and they came and informed their master of everything that had happened. 32Then his master called him and said to him, O wicked servant, I cancelled all your debt because you begged me. 33Was it not right for you to have mercy on your fellow-servant, just as I had mercy on you? 34So his master was angry, and delivered him to the scourgers, until he should pay everything he owed him. 35So will my Father in heaven do to you, if you do not forgive each man his brother's fault from your heart. (LAM) 41 Matthew 18:21-35
22"Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants. 23When he began the reckoning, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents; 24and as he could not pay, his lord ordered him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made. 25So the servant fell on his knees, imploring him, `Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.' 26And out of pity for him the lord of that servant released him and forgave him the debt. 27But that same servant, as he went out, came upon one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and seizing him by the throat he said, `Pay what you owe.' 28So his fellow servant fell down and besought him, `Have patience with me, and I will pay you.' 29He refused and went and put him in prison till he should pay the debt. 30When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their lord all that had taken place. 31Then his lord summoned him and said to him, `You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you besought me; 32and should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?' 33And in anger his lord delivered him to the jailers, till he should pay all his debt. 34So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart." 35 (RSV) 41 Matthew 18:21-35
22Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. 23"Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. 25Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. 26"The servant fell on his knees before him. `Be patient with me,' he begged, `and I will pay back everything.' 27The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go. 28"But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. `Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded. 29"His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, `Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.' 30"But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened. 32"Then the master called the servant in. `You wicked servant,' he said, `I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' 34In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. 35"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."(NIV) 41 Matthew 18:21-35
22Jesus said to him, 'I don't tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven. 23Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. 24When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25But because he couldn't pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, 'Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!' 27The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. 28'But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!' 29'So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will repay you!' 30He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due. 31So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done. 32Then his lord called him in, and said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me. 33Shouldn't you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?' 34His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him. 35So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if youP don't each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.'(WEB) 41 Matthew 18:21-35
22Yeshua said to him, 'I don't tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.
