40 John 13:23-30 ²³ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܚܕ ܕܤܡܝܟ ܗܘܐ ܒܥܘܒܗ ܗܘ ܕܪܚܡ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܀ ²⁴ܠܗܢܐ ܪܡܙ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܕܢܫܐܠܝܘܗܝ ܕܡܢܘ ܗܘ ܕܐܡܪ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܀ ²⁵ܘܢܦܠ ܗܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܐ ܥܠ ܚܕܝܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܝ ܡܢܘ ܗܢܐ ܀ ²⁶ܥܢܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܗܘ ܗܘ ܕܨܒܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܚܡܐ ܝܗܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܗ ܘܨܒܥ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܚܡܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܠܝܗܘܕܐ ܒܪ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܤܟܪܝܘܛܐ ܀ ²⁷ܘܒܬܪ ܠܚܡܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܬܥܠܠ ܒܗ ܤܛܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܕܡ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܢܬ ܥܒܕ ܒܥܓܠ ܀ ²⁸ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܝܕܥ ܡܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܤܡܝܟܐ ܕܥܠ ܡܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܀ ²⁹ܐܢܫܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܤܒܪܘ ܡܛܠ ܕܓܠܘܤܩܡܐ ܨܐܕܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܡܦܩܕ ܦܩܕ ܠܗ ܕܢܙܒܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܬܒܥܐ ܠܥܕܥܕܐ ܐܘ ܕܢܬܠ ܡܕܡ ܠܡܤܟܢܐ ܀ ³⁰ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܢܤܒ ܠܚܡܐ ܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܘܢܦܩ ܠܗ ܠܒܪ ܠܠܝܐ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܟܕ ܢܦܩ ܀ (SYP)

40 John 13:23-30 ²³Now there was leaning on Jesus bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. ²⁴Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake. ²⁵He then lying on Jesus breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? ²⁶Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. ²⁷And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. ²⁸Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him. ²⁹For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. ³⁰He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.(KJV)

40 John 13:23-30 ²³There was at the table reclining in Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. ²⁴Simon Peter therefore beckoneth to him, and saith unto him, Tell us who it is of whom he speaketh. ²⁵He leaning back, as he was, on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? ²⁶Jesus therefore answereth, He it is, for whom I shall dip the sop, and give it him. So when he had dipped the sop, he taketh and giveth it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. ²⁷And after the sop, then entered Satan into him. Jesus therefore saith unto him, What thou doest, do quickly. ²⁸Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him. ²⁹For some thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus said unto him, Buy what things we have need of for the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. ³⁰He then having received the sop went out straightway: and it was night. 40 John 13:23-30 ²³Now there was one of his disciples who was leaning on his bosom, the one whom Jesus loved. ²⁴Simon Peter beckoned to him, to ask him of whom he spoke. ²⁵So that disciple leaned himself on the breast of Jesus, and said to him, My Lord, who is he? ²⁶Jesus answered, saying, The one for whom I dip bread and give it to him. So Jesus dipped the bread, and gave it to Judah, the son of Simon of Iscariot. ²⁷And after the bread, Satan took possession of him. So Jesus said to him, What you are going to do, do it soon. ²⁸But no man of those who were sitting at the table understood what he said to him. ²⁹For some of them thought, because the purse was with Judah, that he ordered him to buy what was needed for the feast or to give something to the poor. ³⁰So Judah then received the bread and went outside immediately; and it was night when he went out. 40 John 13:23-30 ²³One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was lying close to the breast of Jesus; ²⁴so Simon Peter beckoned to him and said, "Tell us who it is of whom he speaks." ²⁵So lying thus, close to the breast of Jesus, he said to him, "Lord, who is it?" ²⁶Jesus answered, "It is he to whom I shall give this morsel when I have dipped it." So when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. ²⁷Then after the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, "What you are going to do, do quickly." ²⁸Now no one at the table knew why he said this to him. ²⁹Some thought that, because Judas had the money box, Jesus was telling him, "Buy what we need for the feast"; or, that he should give something to the poor. ³⁰So, after receiving the morsel, he immediately went out; and it was night.(RSV)

40 John 13:23-30 ²³One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him. ²⁴Simon Peter motioned to this disciple and said, "Ask him which one he means."

²⁵Leaning back against Jesus, he asked him, "Lord, who is it?"

²⁶Jesus answered, "It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish." Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon. ²⁷As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. "What you are about to do, do quickly," Jesus told him, ²⁸but no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him. ²⁹Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the Feast, or to give something to the poor. ³⁰As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night.(NIV)

40 John 13:23-30 ²³One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was at the table, leaning against Jesus' breast. ²⁴Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, and said to him, 'Tell us who it is of whom he speaks.'

²⁵He, leaning back, as he was, on Yeshua's breast, asked him, 'Lord, who is it?'

²⁶Yeshua therefore answered, 'It is he to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it.' So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judah, the son of Simon Iscariot. ²⁷After the piece of bread, then Satan entered into him.

Then Yeshua said to him, 'What you do, do quickly.'

So Jesus dipped the bread, and gave it to Judah, the son of Simon Iscariot. ²⁷And after the bread, Satan took possession of him.
