40 John 11:17-28 ¹⁷ܘܐܬܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܒܝܬ ܥܢܝܐ ܘܐܫܟܚ ܕܐܪܒܥܐ ܠܗ ܝܘܡܝܢ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܒܝܬ ܩܒܘܪܐ ܀ ¹⁸ܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܘܬ ܕܝܢ ܒܝܬ ܥܢܝܐ ܥܠ ܓܢܒ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܟܕ ܦܪܝܩܐ ܡܢܗ ܐܝܟ ܐܤܛܕܘܬܐ ܚܡܫܬܥܤܪ ܀ ¹⁹ܘܤܓܝܐܐ ܡܢ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܐܬܝܐܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܬܐ ܘܡܪܝܡ ܕܢܡܠܘܢ ܒܠܒܗܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܐܚܘܗܝܢ ܀ ²⁰ܡܪܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܟܕ ܫܡܥܬ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܐܬܐ ܢܦܩܬ ܠܐܘܪܥܗ ܡܪܝܡ ܕܝܢ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܝܬܒܐ ܗܘܬ ܀ ²¹ܘܐܡܪܬ ܡܪܬܐ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܡܪܝ ܐܠܘ ܬܢܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܠܐ ܡܐܬ ܗܘܐ ܐܚܝ ܀ ²²ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܝܕܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܟܡܐ ܕܬܫܐܠ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܝܗܒ ܠܟ ܀ ²³ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܩܐܡ ܐܚܘܟܝ ܀ ²⁴ܐܡܪܐ ܠܗ ܡܪܬܐ ܝܕܥܐܢܐ ܕܩܐܡ ܒܢܘܚܡܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܀ ²⁵ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܢܘܚܡܐ ܘܚܝܐ ܡܢ ܕܡܗܝܡܢ ܒܝ ܐܦܢ ܢܡܘܬ ܢܚܐ ܀ ²⁶ܘܟܠ ܕܚܝ ܘܡܗܝܡܢ ܒܝ ܠܥܠܡ ܠܐ ܢܡܘܬ ܡܗܝܡܢܬܝ ܗܕܐ ܀ ²⁷ܐܡܪܐ ܠܗ ܐܝܢ ܡܪܝ ܐܢܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܀ ²⁸ܘܟܕ ܐܡܪܬ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܙܠܬ ܩܪܬ ܠܡܪܝܡ ܚܬܗ ܟܤܝܐܝܬ ܘܐܡܪܐ ܠܗ ܪܒܢ ܐܬܐ ܘܩܪܐ ܠܟܝ ܀ (SYP)

40 John 11:17-28 ¹⁷Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already. ¹⁸Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: ¹⁹And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. ²⁰Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. ²¹Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. ²²But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. ²³Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. ²⁴Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. ²⁵Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: ²⁶And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? ²⁷She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. ²⁸And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee. 40 John 11:17-28 ¹⁷¶ So Jesus came to Bethany, and he found that Lazar had been four days in the tomb. ¹⁸Now Bethany was towards Jerusalem, a distance of about two miles. ¹⁹And many Jews kept coming to Martha and Mary to comfort their hearts concerning their brother. ²⁰When Martha heard that Jesus had come, she went out to meet him; but Mary sat in the house. ²¹Then Martha said to Jesus, My Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. ²²But even now I know that whatever you ask of God, he will give you. ²³Jesus said to her, Your brother will rise up. ²⁴Martha said to him, I know he will rise up in the resurrection at the last day. ²⁵Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, even though he die, he shall live. ²⁶And whoever is alive and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? ²⁷She said to him, Yes, my Lord; I do believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come to the world. ²⁸And when she had said these things, she went away and called her sister Mary secretly and said to her, Our teacher has come, and he is calling for you. 40 John 11:17-28 ¹⁷Now when Jesus came, he found that Laz'arus had already been in the tomb four days. ¹⁸Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off, ¹⁹and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them concerning their brother. ²⁰When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, while Mary sat in the house. ²¹Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. ²²And even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you." ²³Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again." ²⁴Martha said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day." ²⁵Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, ²⁶and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" ²⁷She said to him, "Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, he who is coming into the world."

²⁸When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary, saying quietly, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you." (RSV)

40 John 11:17-28 ¹⁷On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. ¹⁸Bethany was less than two miles from Jerusalem, ¹⁹and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother. ²⁰When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.

²¹"Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died. ²²But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask."

²³Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."

²⁴Martha answered, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."

²⁵Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; ²⁶and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

²⁷"Yes, Lord," she told him, "I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world."

²⁸And after she had said this, she went back and called her sister Mary aside. "The Teacher is here," she said, "and is asking for you." (NIV)

²⁴Martha said to him, 'I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.'

²⁵Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he die, yet will he live. ²⁶Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?'

²⁷She said to him, 'Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, God's Son, he who comes into the world.'

²⁸When she had said this, she went away, and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, 'The Teacher is here, and is calling you.'(WEB)

40 John 11:17-28 ¹⁷So when Yeshua came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already. ¹⁸Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia away. ¹⁹Many of the Judeans had joined the women around Martha and Miriam, to console them concerning their brother. ²⁰Then when Martha heard that Yeshua was coming, she went and met him, but Miriam stayed in the house. ²¹Therefore Martha said to Yeshua, 'Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn't have died. ²²Even now I know that, whatever you ask of God, God will give you.' ²³Yeshua said to her, 'Your brother will rise again.'

²⁴Martha said to him, 'I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.'

²⁵Yeshua said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. ²⁶Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?'

²⁷She said to him, 'Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Messiah, God's Son, he who comes into the world.'

²⁸When she had said this, she went away, and called Miriam, her sister, secretly, saying, 'The Rabbi is here, and is calling you.'(WEB/HNV)
