40 John 11:7-16 ⁷ܘܒܬܪܟܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܬܘ ܢܐܙܠ ܬܘܒ ܠܝܗܘܕ ܀ ⁸ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܪܒܢ ܗܫܐ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܡܪܓܡܟ ܘܬܘܒ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܬ ܠܬܡܢ ܀ ⁹ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܐ ܬܪܬܥܤܪܐ ܫܥܝܢ ܐܝܬ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܘܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܡܗܠܟ ܒܐܝܡܡܐ ܠܐ ܡܬܬܩܠ ܡܛܠ ܕܚܙܐ ܢܘܗܪܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܀ ¹⁰ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܕܝܢ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܢܗܠܟ ܡܬܬܩܠ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܗܝܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܒܗ ܀ ¹¹ܗܠܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܒܬܪܟܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܥܙܪ ܪܚܡܢ ܫܟܒ ܐܠܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܥܝܪܝܘܗܝ ܀ ¹²ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܡܪܢ ܐܢ ܕܡܟ ܡܬܚܠܡ ܀ ¹³ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܪ ܥܠ ܡܘܬܗ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܤܒܪܘ ܕܥܠ ܡܕܡܟܐ ܗܘ ܕܫܢܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܀ ¹⁴ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܦܫܝܩܐܝܬ ܠܥܙܪ ܡܝܬ ܠܗ ܀ ¹⁵ܘܚܕܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܬܡܢ ܡܛܠܬܟܘܢ ܕܬܗܝܡܢܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܗܠܟܘ ܠܬܡܢ ܀ ¹⁶ܐܡܪ ܬܐܘܡܐ ܕܡܬܐܡܪ ܬܐܡܐ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܐ ܚܒܪܘܗܝ ܢܐܙܠ ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܢܡܘܬ ܥܡܗ ܀ (SYP)

40 John 11:7-16 ⁷Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again. ⁸His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? ⁹Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. ¹⁰But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. ¹¹These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. ¹²Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. ¹³Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. ¹⁴Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. ¹⁵And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. ¹⁶Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him. If a man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. ¹⁰But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because the light is not in him. ¹¹These things spake he: and after this he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus is fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. ¹²The disciples therefore said unto him, Lord, if he is fallen asleep, he will recover. ¹³Now Jesus had spoken of his death: but they thought that he spake of taking rest in sleep. ¹⁴Then Jesus therefore said unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. ¹⁵And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. ¹⁶Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said unto his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him. 40 John 11:7-16 ⁷After that he said to his disciples, Come, let us go again to Judea. ⁸His disciples said to him, Teacher, not long ago the Jews wanted to stone you, and yet are you going there again? ⁹Jesus said to them, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walks by daytime, he will not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. ¹⁰But if a man travels at nighttime, he will stumble, because there is no light in it. ¹¹Jesus said these things; and after that he said to them, Our friend Lazar is asleep; but I am going to awaken him. ¹²His disciples said to him, Our Lord, if he is sleeping, he will get well. ¹³But Jesus spoke of his death; and they thought that what he said was sleeping in bed. ¹⁴Then Jesus said to them plainly, Lazar is dead; ¹⁵And I am glad I was not there, for your sakes, so that you may believe; but let us walk there. ¹⁶Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, Let us also go and die with him. 40 John 11:7-16 ⁷Then after this he said to the disciples, "Let us go into Judea again." ⁸The disciples said to him, "Rabbi, the Jews were but now seeking to stone you, and are you going there again?" ⁹Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any one walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. ¹⁰But if any one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him." ¹¹Thus he spoke, and then he said to them, "Our friend Laz'arus has fallen asleep, but I go to awake him out of sleep." ¹²The disciples said to him, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover." ¹³Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he meant taking rest in sleep. ¹⁴Then Jesus told them plainly, "Laz'arus is dead; ¹⁵and for your sake I am glad that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him." ¹⁶Thomas, called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, "Let us also go, that we may die with him."(RSV)

40 John 11:7-16 ⁷Then he said to his disciples, "Let us go back to Judea."

⁸"But Rabbi," they said, "a short while ago the Jews tried to stone you, and yet you are going back there?"

⁹Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world's light. ¹⁰It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light."

¹¹After he had said this, he went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up."

¹²His disciples replied, "Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better." ¹³Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep.

¹⁴So then he told them plainly, "Lazarus is dead, ¹⁵and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him."

¹⁶Then Thomas (called Didymus) said to the rest of the disciples, "Let us also go, that we may die with him."(NIV)

40 John 11:7-16 ⁷Then after this he said to the disciples, 'Let's go into Judea again.'

⁸The disciples told him, 'Rabbi, the Jews were just trying to stone you, and are you going there again?'

⁹Jesus answered, 'Aren't there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn't stumble, because he sees the light of this world. ¹⁰But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light isn't in him.' ¹¹He said these things, and after that, he said to them, 'Our friend, Lazarus, has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep.'

¹²The disciples therefore said, 'Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.'

¹³Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep. ¹⁴So Jesus said to them plainly then, 'Lazarus is dead. ¹⁵I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you_P may believe. Nevertheless, let's go to him.'

¹⁶Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, 'Let's go also, that we may die with him.'(WEB)

⁸The disciples told him, 'Rabbi, the Judeans were just trying to stone you, and are you going there again?'

⁹Yeshua answered, 'Aren't there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn't stumble, because he sees the light of this world. ¹⁰But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light isn't in him.' ¹¹He said these things, and after that, he said to them, 'Our friend, Lazarus, has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep.'

¹³Now Yeshua had spoken of his death, but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep. ¹⁴So Yeshua said to them plainly then, 'Lazarus is dead. ¹⁵I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let's go to him.'
