40 John 9:13-23 13They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. 14And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 15Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. 16Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. 17They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. 18But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. 19And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? 20His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: 21But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. 22These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 23Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. (KJV)

40 John 9:13-23 13They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. 14And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 15Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. 40 John 9:13-23 13They bring to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. 14Now it was the sabbath on the day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 15Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. And he said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and I see. 16Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. But others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such signs? And there was division among them. 17They say therefore unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, in that he opened thine eyes? And he said, He is a prophet. 18The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight, 19and asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? How then doth he now see? 20His parents answered and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: 21but how he now seeth, we know not; or who opened his eyes, we know not: ask him; he is of age; he shall speak for himself. 22These things said his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 23Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. 40 John 9:13-23 13¶ So they brought to the Pharisees him who had been blind from his birth. 14Now it was the sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes. 15Again the Pharisees asked him, How did you receive your sight? He said to them, He placed clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see. 16Then some of the Pharisees said. This man is not from God, because he does not observe the sabbath; others said, How can a man who is a sinner do these miracles? And there was a division among them. 17They said to the blind man again. What do you say concerning him who opened your eyes? He said to them, I say he is a prophet. 18But the Jews did not believe concerning him that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight. 19And they asked them, Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see? 20His parents answered, saying, We know that he is our son and that he was born blind. 21But how he sees now or who opened his eyes we do not know; he is of age, ask him, he will speak for himself. 22His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews had decided already that if any man should confess that he is the Christ, they would put him out of the synagogue. 23For this reason his parents said, He is of age, ask him. 40 John 9:13-23 13They brought to the Pharisees the man who had formerly been blind. 14Now it was a sabbath day when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes. 15The Pharisees again asked him how he had received his sight. And he said to them, "He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see." 16Some of the Pharisees said, "This man is not from God, for he does not keep the sabbath." But others said, "How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?" There was a division among them. 17So they again said to the blind man, "What do you say about him, since he has opened your eyes?" He said, "He is a prophet."

18The Jews did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of the man who had received his sight, 19and asked them, "Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?" 20His parents answered, "We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21but how he now sees we do not know, nor do we know who opened his eyes. Ask him; he is of age, he will speak for himself." 22His parents said this because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if any one should confess him to be Christ, he was to be put out of the synagogue. 23Therefore his parents said, "He is of age, ask him."(RSV)

40 John 9:13-23 13They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. 14Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man's eyes was a Sabbath. 15Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. "He put mud on my eyes," the man replied, "and I washed, and now I see."

16Some of the Pharisees said, "This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath." But others asked, "How can a sinner do such miraculous signs?" So they were divided.

17Finally they turned again to the blind man, "What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened." The man replied, "He is a prophet."

18The Jews still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man's parents. 19"Is this your son?" they asked. "Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?"

20"We know he is our son," the parents answered, "and we know he was born blind. 21But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don't know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself." 22His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for already the Jews had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Christ would be put out of the synagogue. 23That was why his parents said, "He is of age; ask him."(NIV)

40 John 9:13-23 13They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees. 14It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes. 15Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, 'He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.'

16Some therefore of the Pharisees said, 'This man is not from God, because he doesn't keep the Sabbath.' Others said, 'How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?' There was division among them. 17Therefore they asked the blind man again, 'What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?'

He said, 'He is a prophet.'

18The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight, 19and asked them, 'Is this your son, who youP say was born blind? How then does he now see?'

20His parents answered them, 'We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21but how he now sees, we don't know; or who opened his eyes, we don't know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.' 22His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue. 23Therefore his parents said, 'He is of age. Ask him.'(WEB)

40 John 9:13-23 13They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees. 14It was a Sabbath when Yeshua made the mud and opened his eyes.

18The Judeans therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight, 19and asked them, 'Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?'

20His parents answered them, 'We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21but how he now sees, we don't know; or who opened his eyes, we don't know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.' 22His parents said these things because they feared the Judeans; for the Judeans had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Messiah, he would be put out of the synagogue. 23Therefore his parents said, 'He is of age. Ask him.'(WEB/HNV)
