50 First Corinthians 6:1-20 1Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 2Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. 5I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? 6But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. 7Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? 8Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. 9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

12All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 15Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are Gods.(KJV)

And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not worthy to judge small affairs? 3Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more then should we judge those who belong to this world? 4You have worldly affairs to be settled, and yet you have put men of bad reputation in the church on the judgment seat. 5I say this to you to make you feel ashamed. Is it so, that there is not a single wise man among you who could settle a dispute between brother and brother? 6But brother goes to court against brother, and at that before unbelievers. 7Now, therefore, you are already at fault because you go to court one with another. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather let yourselves be defrauded? 8No, you yourselves do wrong, and defraud even your brethren.

9¶ Do you not know that the wicked shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not misled; neither the immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor the corrupt nor men who lie with males 10Nor extortioners nor thieves nor drunkards nor railers nor defrauders shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And some of these evils were to be found in some of you, but you have been cleansed and have been sanctified and made righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.

12¶ All things are lawful for me, but all things are not advisable; indeed all things are lawful for me but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13Food is for the stomach, and the stomach for food; but God will do away with both of them. Now the body is not meant for fornication, but for our Lord; and our Lord for the body. 14And as God has raised our Lord, so he will raise us also by his own power. 15Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? How then can one take a member of Christ and make it the member of a harlot? Far be it. 16Or do you not know that he who joins his body to a harlot is one body with her? For it is said, The two shall become one body. 17But he who unites himself with our Lord becomes one with him in spirit. 18Keep away from fornication. Every sin that a man commits is outside his body; but he who commits adultery sins against his own body. 19Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit that dwells within you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? 20For you have been bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, because they belong to God. And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, matters pertaining to this life! 4If then you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who are least esteemed by the church? 5I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no man among you wise enough to decide between members of the brotherhood, 6but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?

7To have lawsuits at all with one another is defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? 8But you yourselves wrong and defraud, and that even your own brethren.

9Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts, 10nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

12"All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be enslaved by anything. 13"Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food"--and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who joins himself to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, "The two shall become one flesh." 17But he who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. 18Shun immorality. Every other sin which a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? 50 First Corinthians 6:1-20 1If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints? 2Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, appoint as judges even men of little account in the church! 5I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? 6But instead, one brother goes to law against another -- and this in front of unbelievers!

7The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? 8Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers.

9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

12"Everything is permissible for me" -- but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me" -- but I will not be mastered by anything. 13"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food" -- but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.(NIV)

Do not be misled; neither the immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor the corrupt nor men who lie with males 10Nor extortioners nor thieves nor drunkards nor railers nor defrauders will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And some of these evils were to be found in some of you, but you have been cleansed and have been sanctified and made righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Messiah and through the Spirit of our God.

12All things are lawful for me, but all things are not advisable; indeed all things are lawful for me but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13Food is for the stomach, and the stomach for food; but God will do away with both of them. Now the body is not meant for fornication, but for our Lord; and our Lord for the body. 14And as God has raised our Lord, so he will also raise us by his own power. 15Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Messiah? How then can one take a member of Messiah and make it the member of a prostitute? Far be it. 16Or do you not know that he who joins his body to a prostitute is one body with her? For it is said, The 2 will become one body. 17But he who unites himself with our Lord becomes one with him in spirit. 18Keep away from fornication. Every sin that a man commits is outside his body; but he who commits adultery sins against his own body. 19Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit that lives inside you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? 20For you have been bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, because they belong to God.
