Acts Replay 36 Habakkuk
43 Luke 19:1-48
1And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
2And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
8And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
10For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
11And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25(And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
28And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
29And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
30Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
31And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
32And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
33And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
34And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
35And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.
36And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
37And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
45And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
46Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
47And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.(KJV)

43 Luke 19:1-48
1AND when Jesus entered and passed through Jericho
2There was a man named Zaccai, who was rich and chief of the tax collectors.
3And he wanted to see who Jesus was; but he could not because of the crowd, for Zaccai was small in stature.
4So he ran ahead of Jesus, and climbed up into a leafless fig tree, that he might see him, because he was to pass that way.
5When Jesus came to that place, he saw him and said to him, Make haste, come down, O Zaccai, for today I must stay at your house.
6And he hastened and came down, and welcomed him with joy.
7Now when they all saw it, they murmured, saying, He has entered to stay in the house of a sinner.
8But Zaccai rose up and said to Jesus, Behold, my Lord, half of my wealth I will give to the poor; and I will pay fourfold to every man from whom I have extorted.
9Jesus said to him, Today life has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.
10For the Son of man came to seek and save that which was lost.
11¶ While they were listening to these things, he continued by speaking a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they were expecting that the kingdom of God would appear at that very hour;
12And he said, A great man of a noble family went to a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.
13And he called his ten servants, and gave them ten pounds, and said to them, Transact business until I come back.
14But the people of his city hated him, and sent messengers after him, saying, We do not want him to rule over us.
15And when he received the kingdom and returned, he commanded to call his servants to whom he had given the money, that he might know what each one of them had gained in business.
16The first one came and said, My lord, your pound has gained ten pounds.
17He said to him, O good servant! Because you are found faithful in a little, you will have charge over ten talents.
18And the second came and said, My lord, your pound has gained five pounds.
19He said to this one, You also will have charge over five talents.
20But another one came and said, My lord, here is your pound which was with me, which I kept laid up in a purse.
21For I was afraid of you, because you are a harsh man; you pick up what you have not laid down, and you reap what you have not sown.
22He said to him, I will judge you from your own mouth, O wicked servant. You knew me that I am a harsh man, and pick up what I have not laid down, and reap what I have not sowed.
23Why then did you not give my money to the exchange, so that when I came I could demand it with its interest?
24And he said to those who stood in his presence, Take away the pound from him and give it to him who has ten pounds.
25They said to him, Our lord, he has already with him ten pounds.
26He said to them, I say to you: To everyone who has shall be given; and from him who has not, even that which he has will be taken away from him.
27But those my enemies, who were not willing that I should rule over them bring here, and kill them before me.
28¶ And when Jesus had said these things, he went forward to go to Jerusalem.
29And when he arrived at Bethphage and Bethany, on the side of the mountain which is called the Place of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
30Saying to them, Go to the village which is in front of us; and when you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no man has ever ridden; untie it and bring it.
31And if any man should ask you, Why do you untie it? tell him this: Our Lord needs it.
32And those who were sent went away and found just as he had told them.
33And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, Why do you untie the colt?
34And they said to them, Our Lord needs it.
35And they brought it to Jesus; and they put their garments on the colt, and they set Jesus on it.
36And as he went along, they spread their garments on the road.
37And when he came near to the descent of the mount of the Place of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice, praising God with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,
38Saying, Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven and glory in the highest.
39But some of the Pharisees who were in the multitude said to him, Teacher, rebuke your disciples.
40He said to them, I say to you that if these should keep silent, the stones would cry out.
41¶ And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it;
42And he said, If you had only known those who came for your peace, even in this your day! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
43But the days will come when your enemies will surround you, and oppress you from every place,
44And will overthrow you and your children within you; and they will not leave in you a stone upon a stone, because you did not know the time when you were to be visited.
45And when he entered the temple, he began to put out those who were buying and selling in it;
46And he said to them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer; but you have made it a cave of bandits.
47And he taught every day in the temple. But the high priests and the scribes and the elders of the people sought to get rid of him;
48But they were not able to find what to do to him; for all the people gathered around him to hear him.

11As they heard these things, he proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately.

22He said to him, `I will condemn you out of your own mouth, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a severe man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow?
23Why then did you not put my money into the bank, and at my coming I should have collected it with interest?'
24And he said to those who stood by, `Take the pound from him, and give it to him who has the ten pounds.'
25(And they said to him, `Lord, he has ten pounds!')
26`I tell you, that to every one who has will more be given; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
27But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.'"
28And when he had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
29When he drew near to Beth'phage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples,
30saying, "Go into the village opposite, where on entering you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever yet sat; untie it and bring it here.
31If any one asks you, `Why are you untying it?' you shall say this, `The Lord has need of it.'"
32So those who were sent went away and found it as he had told them.
33And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, "Why are you untying the colt?"
34And they said, "The Lord has need of it."

40He answered, "I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out."
41And when he drew near and saw the city he wept over it,
42saying, "Would that even today you knew the things that make for peace! But now they are hid from your eyes.
43For the days shall come upon you, when your enemies will cast up a bank about you and surround you, and hem you in on every side,
44and dash you to the ground, you and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another in you; because you did not know the time of your visitation."
45And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold,
46saying to them, "It is written, `My house shall be a house of prayer'; but you have made it a den of robbers."
47And he was teaching daily in the temple. The chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people sought to destroy him;

43 Luke 19:1-48
1Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.
2A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.
3He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd.
4So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
5When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today."
6So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
7All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the guest of a `sinner.'"
8But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount."
9Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
11While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.
12He said: "A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return.
13So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. `Put this money to work,' he said, `until I come back.'
14"But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, `We don't want this man to be our king.'
15"He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.
16"The first one came and said, `Sir, your mina has earned ten more.'
17"`Well done, my good servant!' his master replied. `Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.'
18"The second came and said, `Sir, your mina has earned five more.'
19"His master answered, `You take charge of five cities.'
20"Then another servant came and said, `Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth.
21I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.'
22"His master replied, `I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?
23Why then didn't you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?'
24"Then he said to those standing by, `Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.'
25"`Sir,' they said, `he already has ten!'
26"He replied, `I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.
27But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them -- bring them here and kill them in front of me.'"
28After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
29As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them,
30"Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
31If anyone asks you, `Why are you untying it?' tell him, `The Lord needs it.'"
32Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.
33As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?"
34They replied, "The Lord needs it."
35They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it.
36As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.
37When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
38"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
39Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"
40"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."
41As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it
42and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace -- but now it is hidden from your eyes.
43The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.
44They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."
45Then he entered the temple area and began driving out those who were selling.
46"It is written," he said to them, "`My house will be a house of prayer'; but you have made it `a den of robbers.'"
47Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.
48Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.(NIV)
43 Luke 19:1-48
1He entered and was passing through Jericho.
2There was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.
3He was trying to see who Jesus was, and couldn't because of the crowd, because he was short.
4He ran on ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was to pass that way.
5When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, 'Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.'
6He hurried, came down, and received him joyfully.
7When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, 'He has gone in to lodge with a man who is a sinner.'
8Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, 'Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much.'
9Jesus said to him, 'Today, salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.
10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.'
11As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that the Kingdom of God would be revealed immediately.
12He said therefore, 'A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13He called ten servants of his, and gave them ten mina coins, and told them, 'ConductP business until I come.'
14But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying, 'We don't want this man to reign over us.'
15'It happened when he had come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business.
16The first came before him, saying, 'Lord, your mina has made ten more minas.'
17'He said to him, 'Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.'
18'The second came, saying, 'Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.'
19'So he said to him, 'And you are to be over five cities.'
20Another came, saying, 'Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief,
21for I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn't lay down, and reap that which you didn't sow.'
22'He said to him, 'Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn't lay down, and reaping that which I didn't sow.
23Then why didn't you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?'
24He said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina away from him, and give it to him who has the ten minas.'
25'They said to him, 'Lord, he has ten minas!'
26'For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn't have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.

5When Jesus came to that place, he saw him and said to him, Come down quickly Zaccai, for today I must stay at your house.
6And he hurried and came down, and welcomed him with joy.
7Now when they all saw it, they murmured, saying, He has entered to stay in the house of a sinner.
8But Zaccai rose up and said to Jesus, Look, my Lord, 1/2 of my wealth I will give to the poor; and I will pay 4-fold to every man from whom I have extorted.
9Jesus said to him, Today life has come to this house, because he is also a son of Abraham.
10For the Son of man came to seek and save that which was lost.
11While they were listening to these things, he continued by speaking a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they were expecting that the kingdom of God would appear at that very hour;
12And he said, A great man of a noble family went to a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.
13And he called his 10 servants, and gave them 10 minas, and said to them, Transact business until I come back.
14But the people of his city hated him, and sent messengers after him, saying, We do not want him to rule over us.
15And when he received the kingdom and returned, he commanded to call his servants to whom he had given the money, that he might know what each one of them had gained in business.
16The first one came and said, My lord, your mina has gained 10 minas.
17He said to him, Oh good servant. Because you are found faithful in a little, you will have charge over 10 talents.
18And the 2nd came and said, My lord, your mina has gained 5 minas.
19He said to this one, You will also have charge over 5 talents.
20But another one came and said, My lord, here is your mina which was with me, which I kept laid up in a purse.
21For I was afraid of you, because you are a harsh man; you pick up what you have not laid down, and you reap what you have not sown.
22He said to him, I will judge you from your own mouth, wicked servant. You knew that I am a harsh man, and pick up what I have not laid down, and reap what I have not sowed.
23Why then did you not give my money to the exchange, so that when I came I could demand it with its interest?
24And he said to those who stood in his presence, Take away the mina from him and give it to him who has 10 minas.
25They said to him, Our lord, he has already with him 10 minas.
26He said to them, I say to you: To everyone who has will be given; and from him who has not, even that which he has will be taken away from him.
27But those my enemies, who were not willing that I should rule over them bring here, and kill them before me.
28And when Jesus had said these things, he went forward to go to Jerusalem.
29And when he arrived at Bethphage and Bethany, on the side of the mountain which is called the Place of Olives, he sent 2 of his disciples,
30Saying to them, Go to the village which is in front of us; and when you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no man has ever ridden; untie it and bring it.
31And if any man should ask you, Why do you untie it? Tell him, Our Lord needs it.
41And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it;
42And he said, If you had only known those who came for your peace, even in this your day. But now they are hidden from your eyes.
43But the days will come when your enemies will surround you, and oppress you from every place,
44And will overthrow you and your children inside you; and they will not leave in you a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time when you were to be visited.
45And when he entered the temple, he began to put out those who were buying and selling in it;
46And he said to them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer; but you have made it a cave of bandits.
47And he taught every day in the temple. But the high priests and the scribes and the elders of the people sought to get rid of him;
48But they were not able to find what to do to him; for all the people gathered around him to hear him.
