40 John 17:1-26
1These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.(KJV)

40 John 17:1-26
1JESUS spoke these things, and then he lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, O my Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son, so that thy Son may glorify thee,
2Since thou hast given him power over all flesh, so that to all whom thou hast given him, he may give life eternal.
3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, that thou art the only true God, even the one who sent Jesus Christ.
4I have already glorified thee on the earth; for the work which thou hadst given to me to do, I have finished.
5So now, O my Father, glorify me with thee, with the same glory which I had with thee before the world was made.
6I have made thy name known to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world; they were thine and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
7Now they know that whatever thou hast given me is from thee.
8For the words which thou gavest me I gave them; and they accepted them, and have known truly that I came forth from thee, and they have believed that thou hast sent me.
9What I request is for them; I make no request for the world, but for those whom thou hast given to me; because they are thine.
10And everything which is mine is thine; and what is thine is mine; and I am glorified by them.
11Hereafter I am not in the world, but these are in the world; and I am coming to thee. O holy Father, protect them in thy name, which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
12While I was with them in the world, I protected them in thy name; those whom thou gavest me I protected, and not one of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13Now I am coming to thee; and these things I speak while I am in the world, that my joy may be complete in them.
14I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they were not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15What I request is not that thou shouldst take them out of the world, but that thou shouldst protect them from evil.
16For they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17O Father, sanctify them in thy truth, because thy word is truth.
18Just as thou didst send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
19And for their sakes, I am sanctifying myself, so that they also may be sanctified in the truth.
20I am not making request for these alone, but also for the sake of those who believe in me through their word.
21So that they all may be one; just as thou, my Father, art with me, and I am with thee, that they also may be one with us; so that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
22And the glory which thou gavest me, I gave to them; so that they may be one just as we are one.
23I with them and thou with me, that they may become perfected in one; so that the world may know that thou didst send me, and that thou didst love them just as thou didst love me.
24O Father, I wish that those whom thou hast given me may also be with me where I am, so that they may see my glory which thou hast given me; for thou hast loved me before the foundation of the world.
25O my righteous Father, the world did not know thee, but I have known thee; and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26And I have made thy name known to them, and I am still making it known, so that the love with which thou hast loved me may be among them, and I be with them.

40 John 17:1-26
1When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son that the Son may glorify thee,
2since thou hast given him power over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom thou hast given him.
3And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
4I glorified thee on earth, having accomplished the work which thou gavest me to do;
5and now, Father, glorify thou me in thy own presence with the glory which I had with thee before the world was made.
6"I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world; thine they were, and thou gavest them to me, and they have kept thy word.
7Now they know that everything that thou hast given me is from thee;
8for I have given them the words which thou gavest me, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from thee; and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9I am praying for them; I am not praying for the world but for those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine;
10all mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them.
11And now I am no more in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name, which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.
12While I was with them, I kept them in thy name, which thou hast given me; I have guarded them, and none of them is lost but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

15I do not pray that thou shouldst take them out of the world, but that thou shouldst keep them from the evil one.
16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth.
18As thou didst send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
19And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth.
20"I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word,
21that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22The glory which thou hast given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
23I in them and thou in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them even as thou hast loved me.
24Father, I desire that they also, whom thou hast given me, may be with me where I am, to behold my glory which thou hast given me in thy love for me before the foundation of the world.
25O righteous Father, the world has not known thee, but I have known thee; and these know that thou hast sent me.
26I made known to them thy name, and I will make it known, that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them."(RSV)
40 John 17:1-26
1After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.
2For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.
3Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
4I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.
5And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
6"I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.
7Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.
8For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.
9I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.
10All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.
11I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name -- the name you gave me -- so that they may be one as we are one.
12While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
13"I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.
14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.
15My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.
17Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
18As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
19For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
20"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,
21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:
23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
24"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
25"Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.
26I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."(NIV)

22The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one;
23I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.
24Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
25Righteous Father, the world hasn't known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.
