37 First Chronicles 2:1-55 ¹אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל רְאוּבֵ֤ן שִׁמְעוֹן֙ לֵוִ֣י וִיהוּדָ֔ה יִשָׂשכָ֖ר וּזְבֻלֽוּן׃ ²דָּ֚ן יוֹסֵ֣ף וּבִנְיָמִ֔ן נַפְתָּלִ֖י גָּ֥ד וְאָשֵֽׁר׃

³בְּנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה עֵ֤ר וְאוֹנָן֙ וְשֵׁלָ֔ה שְׁלוֹשָׁה֙ נ֣וֹלַד ל֔וֹ מִבַּת־ שׁ֖וּעַ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֑ית וַיְהִ֞י עֵ֣ר׀ בְּכ֣וֹר יְהוּדָ֗ה רַ֛ע בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה וַיְמִיתֵֽהוּ׃

⁴וְתָמָר֙ כַּלָּת֔וֹ יָ֥לְדָה לּ֖וֹ אֶת־ פֶּ֣רֶץ וְאֶת־ זָ֑רַח כָּל־ בְּנֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה חֲמִשָּֽׁה׃

⁵בְּנֵי־ פֶ֖רֶץ חֶצְר֥וֹן וְחָמֽוּל׃

⁶וּבְנֵ֣י זֶ֗רַח זִ֠מְרִי וְאֵיתָ֧ן וְהֵימָ֛ן וְכַלְכֹּ֥ל וָדָ֖רַע כֻּלָּ֥ם חֲמִשָּֽׁה׃

⁷וּבְנֵ֖י כַּרְמִ֑י עָכָר֙ עוֹכֵ֣ר יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר מָעַ֖ל בַּחֵֽרֶם׃

⁸וּבְנֵ֥י אֵיתָ֖ן עֲזַרְיָֽה׃ ⁹וּבְנֵ֥י חֶצְר֖וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר נוֹלַד־ ל֑וֹ אֶת־ יְרַחְמְאֵ֥ל וְאֶת־ רָ֖ם וְאֶת־ כְּלוּבָֽי׃ ¹⁰וְרָ֖ם הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ עַמִּינָדָ֑ב וְעַמִּינָדָב֙ הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ נַחְשׁ֔וֹן נְשִׂ֖יא בְּנֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃ ¹¹וְנַחְשׁוֹן֙ הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ שַׂלְמָ֔א וְשַׂלְמָ֖א הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ בֹּֽעַז׃ ¹²וּבֹ֙עַז֙ הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ עוֹבֵ֔ד וְעוֹבֵ֖ד הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ יִשָֽׁי׃ ¹³וְאִישַׁ֛י הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ בְּכֹר֖וֹ אֶת־ אֱלִיאָ֑ב וַאֲבִינָדָב֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י וְשִׁמְעָ֖א הַשְּׁלִישִֽׁי׃ ¹⁴נְתַנְאֵל֙ הָֽרְבִיעִ֔י רַדַּ֖י הַחֲמִישִֽׁי׃ ¹⁵אֹ֚צֶם הַשִּׁשִּׁ֔י דָּוִ֖יד הַשְּׁבִעִֽי׃ ¹⁶צְרוּיָ֣ה וַאֲבִיגָ֑יִל וּבְנֵ֣י צְרוּיָ֗ה אַבְשַׁ֛י וְיוֹאָ֥ב וַעֲשָׂה־ אֵ֖ל שְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃ ¹⁷וַאֲבִיגַ֕יִל יָלְדָ֖ה אֶת־ עֲמָשָׂ֑א וַאֲבִ֣י עֲמָשָׂ֔א יֶ֖תֶר הַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִֽי׃ ¹⁸וְכָלֵ֣ב בֶּן־ חֶצְר֗וֹן הוֹלִ֛יד אֶת־ עֲזוּבָ֥ה אִשָּׁ֖ה וְאֶת־ יְרִיע֑וֹת וְאֵ֣לֶּה בָנֶ֔יהָ יֵ֥שֶׁר וְשׁוֹבָ֖ב וְאַרְדּֽוֹן׃ ¹⁹וַתָּ֖מָת עֲזוּבָ֑ה וַיִּֽקַּֽח־ ל֤וֹ כָלֵב֙ אֶת־ אֶפְרָ֔ת וַתֵּ֥לֶד ל֖וֹ אֶת־ חֽוּר׃ ²⁰וְחוּר֙ הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ אוּרִ֔י וְאוּרִ֖י הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ בְּצַלְאֵֽל׃

²¹וְאַחַ֗ר בָּ֤א חֶצְרוֹן֙ אֶל־ בַּת־ מָכִיר֙ אֲבִ֣י גִלְעָ֔ד וְה֣וּא לְקָחָ֔הּ וְה֖וּא בֶּן־ שִׁשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַתֵּ֥לֶד ל֖וֹ אֶת־ שְׂגֽוּב׃ ²²וּשְׂג֖וּב הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ יָאִ֑יר וַֽיְהִי־ ל֗וֹ עֶשְׂרִ֤ים וְשָׁלוֹשׁ֙ עָרִ֔ים בְּאֶ֖רֶץ הַגִּלְעָֽד׃ ²³וַיִּקַּ֣ח גְּשֽׁוּר־ וַ֠אֲרָם אֶת־ חַוֹּ֨ת יָאִ֧יר מֵאִתָּ֛ם אֶת־ קְנָ֥ת וְאֶת־ בְּנֹתֶ֖יהָ שִׁשִּׁ֣ים עִ֑יר כָּל־ אֵ֕לֶּה בְּנֵ֖י מָכִ֥יר אֲבִי־ גִלְעָֽד׃ ²⁴וְאַחַ֥ר מוֹת־ חֶצְר֖וֹן בְּכָלֵ֣ב אֶפְרָ֑תָה וְאֵ֤שֶׁת חֶצְרוֹן֙ אֲבִיָּ֔ה וַתֵּ֣לֶד ל֔וֹ אֶת־ אַשְׁח֖וּר אֲבִ֥י תְקֽוֹעַ׃ ²⁵וַיִּהְי֧וּ בְנֵי־ יְרַחְמְאֵ֛ל בְּכ֥וֹר חֶצְר֖וֹן הַבְּכ֣וֹר׀ רָ֑ם וּבוּנָ֥ה וָאֹ֛רֶן וָאֹ֖צֶם אֲחִיָּֽה׃ ²⁶וַתְּהִ֨י אִשָּׁ֥ה אַחֶ֛רֶת לִֽירַחְמְאֵ֖ל וּשְׁמָ֣הּ עֲטָרָ֑ה הִ֖יא אֵ֥ם אוֹנָֽם׃

²⁷וַיִּהְי֥וּ בְנֵי־ רָ֖ם בְּכ֣וֹר יְרַחְמְאֵ֑ל מַ֥עַץ וְיָמִ֖ין וָעֵֽקֶר׃ ²⁸וַיִּהְי֥וּ בְנֵי־ אוֹנָ֖ם שַׁמַּ֣י וְיָדָ֑ע וּבְנֵ֣י שַׁמַּ֔י נָדָ֖ב וַאֲבִישֽׁוּר׃ ²⁹וְשֵׁ֛ם אֵ֥שֶׁת אֲבִישׁ֖וּר אֲבִיהָ֑יִל וַתֵּ֣לֶד ל֔וֹ אֶת־ אַחְבָּ֖ן וְאֶת־ מוֹלִֽיד׃ ³⁰וּבְנֵ֥י נָדָ֖ב סֶ֣לֶד וְאַפָּ֑יִם וַיָּ֥מָת סֶ֖לֶד לֹ֥א בָנִֽים׃

³¹וּבְנֵ֥י אַפַּ֖יִם יִשְׁעִ֑י וּבְנֵ֤י יִשְׁעִי֙ שֵׁשָׁ֔ן וּבְנֵ֥י שֵׁשָׁ֖ן אַחְלָֽי׃ ³²וּבְנֵ֤י יָדָע֙ אֲחִ֣י שַׁמַּ֔י יֶ֖תֶר וְיוֹנָתָ֑ן וַיָּ֥מָת יֶ֖תֶר לֹ֥א בָנִֽים׃

³³וּבְנֵ֥י יוֹנָתָ֖ן פֶּ֣לֶת וְזָזָ֑א אֵ֥לֶּה הָי֖וּ בְּנֵ֥י יְרַחְמְאֵֽל׃ ³⁴וְלֹֽא־ הָיָ֧ה לְשֵׁשָׁ֛ן בָּנִ֖ים כִּ֣י אִם־ בָּנ֑וֹת וּלְשֵׁשָׁ֛ן עֶ֥בֶד מִצְרִ֖י וּשְׁמ֥וֹ יַרְחָֽע׃ ³⁵וַיִּתֵּ֨ן שֵׁשָׁ֧ן אֶת־ בִּתּ֛וֹ לְיַרְחָ֥ע עַבְדּ֖וֹ לְאִשָּׁ֑ה וַתֵּ֥לֶד ל֖וֹ אֶת־ עַתָּֽי׃ ³⁶וְעַתַּי֙ הֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ נָתָ֔ן וְנָתָ֖ן הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ זָבָֽד׃ ³⁷וְזָבָד֙ הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ אֶפְלָ֔ל וְאֶפְלָ֖ל הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ עוֹבֵֽד׃ ³⁸וְעוֹבֵד֙ הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ יֵה֔וּא וְיֵה֖וּא הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ עֲזַרְיָֽה׃ ³⁹וַעֲזַרְיָה֙ הֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ חָ֔לֶץ וְחֶ֖לֶץ הֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ אֶלְעָשָֽׂה׃ ⁴⁰וְאֶלְעָשָׂה֙ הֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ סִֽסְמָ֔י וְסִסְמַ֖י הֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ שַׁלּֽוּם׃ ⁴¹וְשַׁלּוּם֙ הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ יְקַמְיָ֔ה וִֽיקַמְיָ֖ה הֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ אֱלִישָׁמָֽע׃ ⁴²וּבְנֵ֤י כָלֵב֙ אֲחִ֣י יְרַחְמְאֵ֔ל מֵישָׁ֥ע בְּכֹר֖וֹ ה֣וּא אֲבִי־ זִ֑יף וּבְנֵ֥י מָרֵשָׁ֖ה אֲבִ֥י חֶבְרֽוֹן׃ ⁴³וּבְנֵ֖י חֶבְר֑וֹן קֹ֥רַח וְתַפֻּ֖חַ וְרֶ֥קֶם וָשָֽׁמַע׃ ⁴⁴וְשֶׁ֣מַע הוֹלִ֔יד אֶת־ רַ֖חַם אֲבִ֣י יָרְקֳעָ֑ם וְרֶ֖קֶם הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ שַׁמָּֽי׃ ⁴⁵וּבֶן־ שַׁמַּ֖י מָע֑וֹן וּמָע֖וֹן אֲבִ֥י בֵֽית־ צֽוּר׃ ⁴⁶וְעֵיפָה֙ פִּילֶ֣גֶשׁ כָּלֵ֔ב יָֽלְדָ֛ה אֶת־ חָרָ֥ן וְאֶת־ מוֹצָ֖א וְאֶת־ גָּזֵ֑ז וְחָרָ֖ן הֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ גָּזֵֽז׃

⁴⁷וּבְנֵ֖י יָהְדָּ֑י רֶ֧גֶם וְיוֹתָ֛ם וְגֵישָׁ֥ן וָפֶ֖לֶט וְעֵיפָ֥ה וָשָֽׁעַף׃ ⁴⁸פִּלֶ֤גֶשׁ כָּלֵב֙ מַעֲכָ֔ה יָ֥לַד שֶׁ֖בֶר וְאֶֽת־ תִּרְחֲנָֽה׃ ⁴⁹וַתֵּ֗לֶד שַׁ֚עַף אֲבִ֣י מַדְמַנָּ֔ה אֶת־ שְׁוָ֛א אֲבִ֥י מַכְבֵּנָ֖ה וַאֲבִ֣י גִבְעָ֑א וּבַת־ כָּלֵ֖ב עַכְסָֽה׃

⁵⁰אֵ֤לֶּה הָיוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י כָלֵ֔ב בֶּן־ ח֖וּר בְּכ֣וֹר אֶפְרָ֑תָה שׁוֹבָ֕ל אֲבִ֖י קִרְיַ֥ת יְעָרִֽים׃ ⁵¹שַׂלְמָא֙ אֲבִ֣י בֵֽית־ לָ֔חֶם חָרֵ֖ף אֲבִ֥י בֵית־ גָּדֵֽר׃ ⁵²וַיִּהְי֤וּ בָנִים֙ לְשׁוֹבָ֔ל אֲבִ֖י קִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֑ים הָרֹאֶ֖ה חֲצִ֥י הַמְּנֻחֽוֹת׃ ⁵³וּמִשְׁפְּחוֹת֙ קִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֔ים הַיִּתְרִי֙ וְהַפּוּתִ֔י וְהַשֻּׁמָתִ֖י וְהַמִּשְׁרָעִ֑י מֵאֵ֗לֶּה יָצְאוּ֙ הַצָּ֣רְעָתִ֔י וְהָאֶשְׁתָּ֖אֻֽלִֽי׃

⁵⁴בְּנֵ֣י שַׂלְמָ֗א בֵּ֥ית לֶ֙חֶם֙ וּנְט֣וֹפָתִ֔י עַטְר֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית יוֹאָ֑ב וַחֲצִ֥י הַמָּנַחְתִּ֖י הַצָּרְעִֽי׃ ⁵⁵וּמִשְׁפְּח֤וֹת סֹפְרִים֙ יַעְבֵּ֔ץ תִּרְעָתִ֥ים שִׁמְעָתִ֖ים שׂוּכָתִ֑ים הֵ֚מָּה הַקִּינִ֣ים הַבָּאִ֔ים מֵחַמַּ֖ת אֲבִ֥י בֵית־ רֵכָֽב׃ (WLC)

37 First Chronicles 2:1-55 ¹These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun, ²Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

³The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him. ⁴And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five. ⁵The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul. ⁶And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all. ⁷And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed. ⁸And the sons of Ethan; Azariah. ⁹The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai. ¹⁰And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah; ¹¹And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz, ¹²And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

¹³And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third, ¹⁴Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, ¹⁵Ozem the sixth, David the seventh: ¹⁶Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three. ¹⁷And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.

¹⁸And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon. ¹⁹And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur. ²⁰And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

²¹And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub. ²²And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead. ²³And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead. ²⁴And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephratah, then Abiah Hezrons wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

²⁵And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah. ²⁶Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. ²⁷And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker. ²⁸And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur. ²⁹And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid. ³⁰And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children. ³¹And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai. ³²And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether and Jonathan: and Jether died without children. ³³And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

³⁴Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha. ³⁵And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai. ³⁶And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad, ³⁷And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed, ³⁸And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah, ³⁹And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah, ⁴⁰And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum, ⁴¹And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

⁴²Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron. ⁴³And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema. ⁴⁴And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai. ⁴⁵And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth-zur. ⁴⁶And Ephah, Calebs concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez. ⁴⁷And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Gesham, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph. ⁴⁸Maachah, Calebs concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah. ⁴⁹She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsa.

⁵⁰These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim, ⁵¹Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hareph the father of Beth- gader. ⁵²And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites. ⁵³And the families of Kirjath-jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites. ⁵⁴The sons of Salma; Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites. ⁵⁵And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.(KJV)

¹⁸And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon. ¹⁹And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur. ²⁰And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead. ²⁴And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

37 First Chronicles 2:1-55 ¹These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun, ²Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. ³The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah; which three were born to him of Shua's daughter the Canaanitess. Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of Yahweh; and he killed him. ⁴Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five. ⁵The sons of Perez: Hezron, and Hamul. ⁶The sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; five of them in all. ⁷The sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who committed a trespass in the devoted thing. ⁸The sons of Ethan: Azariah. ⁹The sons also of Hezron, who were born to him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai. ¹⁰Ram became the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah; ¹¹and Nahshon became the father of Salma, and Salma became the father of Boaz, ¹²and Boaz became the father of Obed, and Obed became the father of Jesse; ¹³and Jesse became the father of his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third, ¹⁴Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, ¹⁵Ozem the sixth, David the seventh; ¹⁶and their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three. ¹⁷Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite. ¹⁸Caleb the son of Hezron became the father of children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon. ¹⁹Azubah died, and Caleb took to him Ephrath, who bore him Hur. ²⁰Hur became the father of Uri, and Uri became the father of Bezalel. ²¹Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he took as wife when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub. ²²Segub became the father of Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. ²³Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages of it, even sixty cities. All these were the sons of Machir the father of Gilead. ²⁴After that Hezron was dead in Caleb Ephrathah, then Abijah Hezron's wife bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa. ²⁵The sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah. ²⁶Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. ²⁷The sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker. ²⁸The sons of Onam were Shammai, and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur. ²⁹The name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail; and she bore him Ahban, and Molid. ³⁰The sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; but Seled died without children. ³¹The sons of Appaim: Ishi. The sons of Ishi: Sheshan. The sons of Sheshan: Ahlai. ³²The sons of Jada the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan; and Jether died without children. ³³The sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel. ³⁴Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha. ³⁵Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife; and she bore him Attai. ³⁶Attai became the father of Nathan, and Nathan became the father of Zabad, ³⁷and Zabad became the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal became the father of Obed, ³⁸and Obed became the father of Jehu, and Jehu became the father of Azariah, ³⁹and Azariah became the father of Helez, and Helez became the father of Eleasah, ⁴⁰and Eleasah became the father of Sismai, and Sismai became the father of Shallum, ⁴¹and Shallum became the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah became the father of Elishama. ⁴²The sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron. ⁴³The sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema. ⁴⁴Shema became the father of Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem became the father of Shammai. ⁴⁵The son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth Zur. ⁴⁶Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran became the father of Gazez. ⁴⁷The sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jothan, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph. ⁴⁸Maacah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah. ⁴⁹She bore also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena, and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah. ⁵⁰These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim, ⁵¹Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hareph the father of Beth Gader. ⁵²Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim had sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth. ⁵³The families of Kiriath Jearim: The Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites. ⁵⁴The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Atroth Beth Joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites. ⁵⁵The families of scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. ¹⁸And Caleb the son of Hezron begat Jedioth of Arubah his wife, and these were her sons: Asher, Jobab, and Adon. ¹⁹And when Arubah died, Caleb took to him Ephrath, who bore him Hur. ²⁰And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaliel.

²¹And afterward Hezron went into the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was 60 years old; and she bore him Segub. ²²And Segub begat Jair, who had 23 towns in the land of Gilead. ²³And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb's land, Ephrath, then his wife, bore him Eshtawir the father of Tekoa. ²⁴And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Aram the firstborn and Banah, Aran, and Azam their sister.

²⁵Jerahmeel also had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. ²⁶And the sons of Aram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were Maaz, Nabin, and Aotar. ²⁷And the sons of Onam were Sabai, and Jada. And the sons of Sabai: Nadab and Abishur. ²⁸And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. ²⁹And the sons of Nadab: Seled and Pelarim; but Seled died without children. ³⁰And the son of Pelarim was Isaiah. And the son of Isaiah: Shushan; and the son of Shushan: Ahlai. ³¹And the sons of Jehoiada the brother of Sabai: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died without children. ³²And the sons of Jonathan: Lapath and Aoza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

³³Now Shushan had no sons, but daughters. And Shushan had a son-in-law from Mizra, whose name was Jardaha. ³⁴And Shushan had given him his daughter as his wife; and she bore him Attai. ³⁵And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Dabir, ³⁶And Dabir begat Ephil, and Ephil begat Jobab, ³⁷And Jobab begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah, ³⁸And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah, ³⁹And Eleasah begat Samsai, and Samsai begat Shallum, ⁴⁰And Shallum begat Elkamiah, and Elkamiah begat Elishama.

⁴¹Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Elishmai his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph; ⁴²And the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rakim, and Shema. ⁴³And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam; and Jorkoam begat Samai. ⁴⁴And Auphnah, Caleb's concubine, bore Horan, ⁴⁵And Horan begat Gozan. ⁴⁶And the son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Bethzur. ⁴⁷And the sons of Jahdai: Regem and Jotham and Gesham and Pelet and Ephah and Shaaph. ⁴⁸Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah. ⁴⁹She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsa.

⁵⁰These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah: Shobal, who was born in Kirjathnarin; ⁵¹Samla, who was born in Bethlehem; and Abi, who was born in Gader. ⁵²And sons were born to Shobal in Kirjathnarin; namely, Atroth, Jobal, Hazri, ⁵³Sepharvim, Netophath, Samla, Shemothim, Shechab, and Hama; ⁵⁴All these sons were born to Shobal in Kirjathnarin. ⁵⁵And the families of the scribes which lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites.
