26 Psalms 94:1-23 ¹אֵל־ נְקָמ֥וֹת יְהוָ֑ה אֵ֖ל נְקָמ֣וֹת הוֹפִֽיַע׃ ²הִ֭נָּשֵׂא שֹׁפֵ֣ט הָאָ֑רֶץ הָשֵׁ֥ב גְּ֝מ֗וּל עַל־ גֵּאִֽים׃ ³עַד־ מָתַ֖י רְשָׁעִ֥ים׀ יְהוָ֑ה עַד־ מָ֝תַ֗י רְשָׁעִ֥ים יַעֲלֹֽזוּ׃ ⁴יַבִּ֣יעוּ יְדַבְּר֣וּ עָתָ֑ק יִֽ֝תְאַמְּר֗וּ כָּל־ פֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ ⁵עַמְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה יְדַכְּא֑וּ וְֽנַחֲלָתְךָ֥ יְעַנּֽוּ׃ ⁶אַ֭לְמָנָה וְגֵ֣ר יַהֲרֹ֑גוּ וִֽיתוֹמִ֣ים יְרַצֵּֽחוּ׃ ⁷וַ֭יֹּ֣אמְרוּ לֹ֣א יִרְאֶה־ יָּ֑הּ וְלֹא־ יָ֝בִ֗ין אֱלֹהֵ֥י יַעֲקֹֽב׃ ⁸בִּ֭ינוּ בֹּעֲרִ֣ים בָּעָ֑ם וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים מָתַ֥י תַּשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃ ⁹הֲנֹ֣טַֽע אֹ֖זֶן הֲלֹ֣א יִשְׁמָ֑ע אִֽם־ יֹ֥צֵֽר עַ֝֗יִן הֲלֹ֣א יַבִּֽיט׃ ¹⁰הֲיֹסֵ֣ר גּ֭וֹיִם הֲלֹ֣א יוֹכִ֑יחַ הַֽמְלַמֵּ֖ד אָדָ֣ם דָּֽעַת׃ ¹¹יְֽהוָ֗ה יֹ֭דֵעַ מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת אָדָ֑ם כִּי־ הֵ֥מָּה הָֽבֶל׃ ¹²אַשְׁרֵ֤י׀ הַגֶּ֣בֶר אֲשֶׁר־ תְּיַסְּרֶ֣נּוּ יָּ֑הּ וּֽמִתּוֹרָתְךָ֥ תְלַמְּדֶֽנּוּ׃ ¹³לְהַשְׁקִ֣יט ל֖וֹ מִ֣ימֵי רָ֑ע עַ֤ד יִכָּרֶ֖ה לָרָשָׁ֣ע שָֽׁחַת׃ ¹⁴כִּ֤י׀ לֹא־ יִטֹּ֣שׁ יְהוָ֣ה עַמּ֑וֹ וְ֝נַחֲלָת֗וֹ לֹ֣א יַעֲזֹֽב׃ ¹⁵כִּֽי־ עַד־ צֶ֭דֶק יָשׁ֣וּב מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וְ֝אַחֲרָ֗יו כָּל־ יִשְׁרֵי־ לֵֽב׃ ¹⁶מִֽי־ יָק֣וּם לִ֭י עִם־ מְרֵעִ֑ים מִֽי־ יִתְיַצֵּ֥ב לִ֝י עִם־ פֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ ¹⁷לוּלֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה עֶזְרָ֣תָה לִּ֑י כִּמְעַ֓ט׀ שָֽׁכְנָ֖ה דוּמָ֣ה נַפְשִֽׁי׃ ¹⁸אִם־ אָ֭מַרְתִּי מָ֣טָה רַגְלִ֑י חַסְדְּךָ֥ יְ֝הוָ֗ה יִסְעָדֵֽנִי׃ ¹⁹בְּרֹ֣ב שַׂרְעַפַּ֣י בְּקִרְבִּ֑י תַּ֝נְחוּמֶ֗יךָ יְֽשַׁעַשְׁע֥וּ נַפְשִֽׁי׃ ²⁰הַֽ֭יְחָבְרְךָ כִּסֵּ֣א הַוּ֑וֹת יֹצֵ֖ר עָמָ֣ל עֲלֵי־ חֹֽק׃ ²¹יָ֭גוֹדּוּ עַל־ נֶ֣פֶשׁ צַדִּ֑יק וְדָ֖ם נָקִ֣י יַרְשִֽׁיעוּ׃ ²²וַיְהִ֬י יְהוָ֣ה לִ֣י לְמִשְׂגָּ֑ב וֵ֝אלֹהַ֗י לְצ֣וּר מַחְסִֽי׃ ²³וַיָּ֤שֶׁב עֲלֵיהֶ֨ם׀ אֶת־ אוֹנָ֗ם וּבְרָעָתָ֥ם יַצְמִיתֵ֑ם יַ֝צְמִיתֵ֗ם יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 94:1

26 Psalms 94:1-23 ¹O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

²Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

³LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

⁴How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

⁵They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

⁶They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

⁷Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

⁸Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

⁹He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

¹⁰He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

¹¹The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

¹²Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

¹³That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

¹⁴For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁷Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

¹⁸When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

¹⁹In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

²⁰Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

²¹They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

²²But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

²³And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.(KJV)

Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth.

²Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth:

Render to the proud their desert.

³Jehovah, how long shall the wicked,

How long shall the wicked triumph?

⁴They prate, they speak arrogantly:

All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.

⁵They break in pieces thy people, O Jehovah,

And afflict thy heritage.

⁶They slay the widow and the sojourner,

And murder the fatherless.

⁷And they say, Jehovah will not see,

Neither will the God of Jacob consider.

⁸Consider, ye brutish among the people;

And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

⁹He that planted the ear, shall he not hear?

He that formed the eye, shall he not see?

¹⁰He that chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct,

Even he that teacheth man knowledge?

¹¹Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man,

That they are vanity.

¹²Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah,

And teachest out of thy law;

¹³That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity,

Until the pit be digged for the wicked.

¹⁴For Jehovah will not cast off his people,

Neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵For judgment shall return unto righteousness;

And all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers?

Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁷Unless Jehovah had been my help,

My soul had soon dwelt in silence.

¹⁸When I said, My foot slippeth;

Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, held me up.

¹⁹In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.

²⁰Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with thee,

Which frameth mischief by statute?

²¹They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous,

And condemn the innocent blood.

²²But Jehovah hath been my high tower,

And my God the rock of my refuge.

²³And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity,(ASV)

26 Psalms 94:1-23 ¹O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongs, O God, to whom vengeance belongs, show thyself. ²Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth; render a reward to the proud. ³LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked boast? ⁴They shall utter and speak unjust things; they shall speak all kinds of evil things. ⁵For they have humbled thy people, O LORD, and subdued thine heritage. ⁶They slay the widow and the innocent, and murder the fatherless. ⁷Yet they say, The LORD does not see, neither does the God of Jacob regard it. ⁸Understand, you stupid among the people and you fools, when will you be wise? ⁹He who planted the ear, shall he not hear? He who formed the eye, shall he not see? ¹⁰He who chastises the nations, shall not he rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge, shall he not know? ¹¹The LORD knows the thoughts of man; they are like a breath.

¹²¶ Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O LORD, and teachest out of thy law; ¹³That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked. ¹⁴For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. ¹⁵For judgment shall return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. ¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up against the workers of iniquity? ¹⁷Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would soon have been in trouble. ¹⁸When I said, My foot slips, thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. ¹⁹In the multitude of my sorrows, within my heart thy comforts delight my soul. ²⁰Evil rulers shall not have fellowship with thee, for they have framed mischief against thy law. ²¹They lay snares to trap the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. ²²But the LORD is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge. ²³And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall silence them in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall silence them. 26 Psalms 94:1-23 ¹O LORD, thou God of vengeance, thou God of vengeance, shine forth! ²Rise up, O judge of the earth; render to the proud their deserts! ³O LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult? ⁴They pour out their arrogant words, they boast, all the evildoers. ⁵They crush thy people, O LORD, and afflict thy heritage. ⁶They slay the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless; ⁷and they say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive." ⁸Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise? ⁹He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? ¹⁰He who chastens the nations, does he not chastise? He who teaches men knowledge, ¹¹the LORD, knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath. ¹²Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O LORD, and whom thou dost teach out of thy law ¹³to give him respite from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked. ¹⁴For the LORD will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage; ¹⁵for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it. ¹⁶Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers? ¹⁷If the LORD had not been my help, my soul would soon have dwelt in the land of silence. ¹⁸When I thought, "My foot slips," thy steadfast love, O LORD, held me up. ¹⁹When the cares of my heart are many, thy consolations cheer my soul. ²⁰Can wicked rulers be allied with thee, who frame mischief by statute? ²¹They band together against the life of the righteous, and condemn the innocent to death. ²²But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge. ²³He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out. 26 Psalms 94:1-23 ¹Psalm 94 O LORD, the God who avenges, O God who avenges, shine forth.

²Rise up, O Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve. ³How long will the wicked, O LORD, how long will the wicked be jubilant?

⁴They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting.

⁵They crush your people, O LORD; they oppress your inheritance.

⁶They slay the widow and the alien; they murder the fatherless. ⁷They say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob pays no heed."

⁸Take heed, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?

⁹Does he who implanted the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see? ¹⁰Does he who disciplines nations not punish? Does he who teaches man lack knowledge?

¹¹The LORD knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile.

¹²Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD, the man you teach from your law;

¹³you grant him relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked.

¹⁴For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. ¹⁵Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?

¹⁷Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.

¹⁸When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me. ¹⁹When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.

²⁰Can a corrupt throne be allied with you -- one that brings on misery by its decrees?

²¹They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.

²²But the LORD has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.

²³He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness; the LORD our God will destroy them.(NIV)
