26 Psalms 94:1-23 1O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

6They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

7Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

8Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

9He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

11The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.(KJV)

26 Psalms 94:1-23 1O Jehovah, thou God to whom vengeance belongeth,

Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth.

2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth:

Render to the proud their desert.

3Jehovah, how long shall the wicked,

How long shall the wicked triumph?

4They prate, they speak arrogantly:

All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.

5They break in pieces thy people, O Jehovah,

And afflict thy heritage.

6They slay the widow and the sojourner,

And murder the fatherless.

7And they say, Jehovah will not see,

Neither will the God of Jacob consider.

8Consider, ye brutish among the people;

And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

9He that planted the ear, shall he not hear?

He that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10He that chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct,

Even he that teacheth man knowledge?

11Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man,

That they are vanity.

12Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah,

And teachest out of thy law;

13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity,

Until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14For Jehovah will not cast off his people,

Neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15For judgment shall return unto righteousness;

And all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers?

Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17Unless Jehovah had been my help,

My soul had soon dwelt in silence.

18When I said, My foot slippeth;

Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, held me up.

19In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.

20Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with thee,

Which frameth mischief by statute?

21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous,

And condemn the innocent blood.

22But Jehovah hath been my high tower,

And my God the rock of my refuge.

23And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity,(ASV)

26 Psalms 94:1-23 1O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongs, O God, to whom vengeance belongs, show thyself. 2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth; render a reward to the proud. 3LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked boast? 4They shall utter and speak unjust things; they shall speak all kinds of evil things. 5For they have humbled thy people, O LORD, and subdued thine heritage. 6They slay the widow and the innocent, and murder the fatherless. 7Yet they say, The LORD does not see, neither does the God of Jacob regard it. 8Understand, you stupid among the people and you fools, when will you be wise? 9He who planted the ear, shall he not hear? He who formed the eye, shall he not see? 10He who chastises the nations, shall not he rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge, shall he not know? 11The LORD knows the thoughts of man; they are like a breath.

12¶ Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O LORD, and teachest out of thy law; 13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked. 14For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. 15For judgment shall return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. 16Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up against the workers of iniquity? 17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would soon have been in trouble. 18When I said, My foot slips, thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. 19In the multitude of my sorrows, within my heart thy comforts delight my soul. 20Evil rulers shall not have fellowship with thee, for they have framed mischief against thy law. 21They lay snares to trap the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. 22But the LORD is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge. 23And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall silence them in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall silence them. 26 Psalms 94:1-23 1O LORD, thou God of vengeance, thou God of vengeance, shine forth! 2Rise up, O judge of the earth; render to the proud their deserts! 3O LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult? 4They pour out their arrogant words, they boast, all the evildoers. 5They crush thy people, O LORD, and afflict thy heritage. 6They slay the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless; 7and they say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive." 8Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise? 9He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? 10He who chastens the nations, does he not chastise? He who teaches men knowledge, 11the LORD, knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath. 12Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O LORD, and whom thou dost teach out of thy law 13to give him respite from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked. 14For the LORD will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage; 15for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it. 16Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers? 17If the LORD had not been my help, my soul would soon have dwelt in the land of silence. 18When I thought, "My foot slips," thy steadfast love, O LORD, held me up. 19When the cares of my heart are many, thy consolations cheer my soul. 20Can wicked rulers be allied with thee, who frame mischief by statute? 21They band together against the life of the righteous, and condemn the innocent to death. 22But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge. 23He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out. (RSV)

26 Psalms 94:1-23 1Psalm 94 O LORD, the God who avenges, O God who avenges, shine forth.

2Rise up, O Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve. 3How long will the wicked, O LORD, how long will the wicked be jubilant?

4They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting.

5They crush your people, O LORD; they oppress your inheritance.

6They slay the widow and the alien; they murder the fatherless. 7They say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob pays no heed."

8Take heed, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?

9Does he who implanted the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see? 10Does he who disciplines nations not punish? Does he who teaches man lack knowledge?

11The LORD knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile.

12Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD, the man you teach from your law;

13you grant him relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked.

14For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. 15Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.

16Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?

17Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.

18When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me. 19When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.

20Can a corrupt throne be allied with you -- one that brings on misery by its decrees?

21They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.

22But the LORD has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.

23He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness; the LORD our God will destroy them.(NIV)
