26 Psalms 90:1-17 1LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

2Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

3Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

4For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

5Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

6In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

7For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

9For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

10The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

11Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

12So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

13Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

16Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.(KJV)

26 Psalms 90:1-17 1Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place

In all generations.

2Before the mountains were brought forth,

Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,

Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

3Thou turnest man to destruction,

And sayest, Return, ye children of men.

4For a thousand years in thy sight

Are but as yesterday when it is past,

And as a watch in the night.

5Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep:

In the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

6In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up;

In the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

7For we are consumed in thine anger,

And in thy wrath are we troubled.

8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee,

Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

9For all our days are passed away in thy wrath:

We bring our years to an end as a sigh.

10The days of our years are threescore years and ten,

Or even by reason of strength fourscore years;

Yet is their pride but labor and sorrow;

For it is soon gone, and we fly away.

11Who knoweth the power of thine anger,

And thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto thee?

12So teach us to number our days,

That we may get us a heart of wisdom.

13Return, O Jehovah; how long?

And let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14Oh satisfy us in the morning with thy lovingkindness,

That we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us,

And the years wherein we have seen evil.

16Let thy work appear unto thy servants,

And thy glory upon their children.

17And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us;(ASV)

7¶ For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. 8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, the sins of our youth in the light of thy countenance. 9For all our days are passed away in thy wrath; we spend our years in emptiness. 10The years of our lives are threescore and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet most of them are labor and sorrow; for life is soon cut off and we fly away. 11Who knows the power of thine anger and the fear of thy wrath?

12¶ So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom. 13Return, O LORD. How long? Wouldst thou not comfort thy servants? 14O satisfy us early with thy mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 15Make us glad because our wickedness is dead, and the years wherein we have seen affliction. 16Let thy work appear to thy servants, and thy glory to their children. 17And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us; for the work of his hands made us, yea, he made us by the work of his hands. 26 Psalms 90:1-17 1A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. 2LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 3Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting thou art God. 4Thou turnest man back to the dust, and sayest, "Turn back, O children of men!" 5For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night. 6Thou dost sweep men away; they are like a dream, like grass which is renewed in the morning: 7in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers. 8For we are consumed by thy anger; by thy wrath we are overwhelmed. 9Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. 10For all our days pass away under thy wrath, our years come to an end like a sigh. 11The years of our life are threescore and ten, or even by reason of strength fourscore; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away. 12Who considers the power of thy anger, and thy wrath according to the fear of thee? 13So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. 14Return, O LORD! How long? Have pity on thy servants! 15Satisfy us in the morning with thy steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 16Make us glad as many days as thou hast afflicted us, and as many years as we have seen evil. 17Let thy work be manifest to thy servants, and thy glorious power to their children. [ (Psalms 90:18) Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish thou the work of our hands upon us, yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. ] (RSV)

26 Psalms 90:1-17 1Psalm 90 A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.

2Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

3You turn men back to dust, saying, "Return to dust, O sons of men."

4For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.

5You sweep men away in the sleep of death; they are like the new grass of the morning --

6though in the morning it springs up new, by evening it is dry and withered.

7We are consumed by your anger and terrified by your indignation.

8You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

9All our days pass away under your wrath; we finish our years with a moan.

10The length of our days is seventy years -- or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

11Who knows the power of your anger? For your wrath is as great as the fear that is due you.

12Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

13Relent, O LORD! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants.

14Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

15Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble. 16May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children.

17May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us -- yes, establish the work of our hands.(NIV)
