26 Psalms 71:1-24 ¹בְּךָֽ־ יְהוָ֥ה חָסִ֑יתִי אַל־ אֵב֥וֹשָׁה לְעוֹלָֽם׃ ²בְּצִדְקָתְךָ֗ תַּצִּילֵ֥נִי וּֽתְפַלְּטֵ֑נִי הַטֵּֽה־ אֵלַ֥י אָ֝זְנְךָ֗ וְהוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃ ³הֱיֵ֤ה לִ֨י׀ לְצ֥וּר מָע֡וֹן לָב֗וֹא תָּמִ֗יד צִוִּ֥יתָ לְהוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נִי כִּֽי־ סַלְעִ֖י וּמְצוּדָתִ֣י אָֽתָּה׃ ⁴אֱ‍ֽלֹהַ֗י פַּ֭לְּטֵנִי מִיַּ֣ד רָשָׁ֑ע מִכַּ֖ף מְעַוֵּ֣ל וְחוֹמֵץ׃ ⁵כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֥ה תִקְוָתִ֑י אֲדֹנָ֥י יְ֝הוִ֗ה מִבְטַחִ֥י מִנְּעוּרָֽי׃ ⁶עָלֶ֤יךָ׀ נִסְמַ֬כְתִּי מִבֶּ֗טֶן מִמְּעֵ֣י אִ֭מִּי אַתָּ֣ה גוֹזִ֑י בְּךָ֖ תְהִלָּתִ֣י תָמִֽיד׃ ⁷כְּ֭מוֹפֵת הָיִ֣יתִי לְרַבִּ֑ים וְ֝אַתָּ֗ה מַֽחֲסִי־ עֹֽז׃ ⁸יִמָּ֣לֵא פִ֭י תְּהִלָּתֶ֑ךָ כָּל־ הַ֝יּ֗וֹם תִּפְאַרְתֶּֽךָ׃ ⁹אַֽל־ תַּ֭שְׁלִיכֵנִי לְעֵ֣ת זִקְנָ֑ה כִּכְל֥וֹת כֹּ֝חִ֗י אַֽל־ תַּעַזְבֵֽנִי׃ ¹⁰כִּֽי־ אָמְר֣וּ אוֹיְבַ֣י לִ֑י וְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י נוֹעֲצ֥וּ יַחְדָּֽו׃ ¹¹לֵ֭אמֹר אֱלֹהִ֣ים עֲזָב֑וֹ רִֽדְפ֥וּ וְ֝תִפְשׂ֗וּהוּ כִּי־ אֵ֥ין מַצִּֽיל׃ ¹²אֱ֭לֹהִים אַל־ תִּרְחַ֣ק מִמֶּ֑נִּי אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י לְעֶזְרָ֥תִי ¹³יֵבֹ֣שׁוּ יִכְלוּ֮ שֹׂטְנֵ֪י נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י יַֽעֲט֣וּ חֶ֭רְפָּה וּכְלִמָּ֑ה מְ֝בַקְשֵׁ֗י רָעָתִֽי׃ ¹⁴וַ֭אֲנִי תָּמִ֣יד אֲיַחֵ֑ל וְ֝הוֹסַפְתִּ֗י עַל־ כָּל־ תְּהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃ ¹⁵פִּ֤י׀ יְסַפֵּ֬ר צִדְקָתֶ֗ךָ כָּל־ הַיּ֥וֹם תְּשׁוּעָתֶ֑ךָ כִּ֤י לֹ֖א יָדַ֣עְתִּי סְפֹרֽוֹת׃ ¹⁶אָב֗וֹא בִּ֭גְבֻרוֹת אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה אַזְכִּ֖יר צִדְקָתְךָ֣ לְבַדֶּֽךָ׃ ¹⁷אֱ‍ֽלֹהִ֗ים לִמַּדְתַּ֥נִי מִנְּעוּרָ֑י וְעַד־ הֵ֝֗נָּה אַגִּ֥יד נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ ¹⁸וְגַ֤ם עַד־ זִקְנָ֨ה׀ וְשֵׂיבָה֮ אֱלֹהִ֪ים אַֽל־ תַּעַ֫זְבֵ֥נִי עַד־ אַגִּ֣יד זְרוֹעֲךָ֣ לְד֑וֹר לְכָל־ יָ֝ב֗וֹא גְּבוּרָתֶֽךָ׃ ¹⁹וְצִדְקָתְךָ֥ אֱלֹהִ֗ים עַד־ מָ֫ר֥וֹם אֲשֶׁר־ עָשִׂ֥יתָ גְדֹל֑וֹת אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים מִ֣י כָמֽוֹךָ׃ ²⁰אֲשֶׁ֤ר צָר֥וֹת רַבּ֗וֹת וְרָ֫ע֥וֹת תָּשׁ֥וּב וּֽמִתְּהֹמ֥וֹת הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ תָּשׁ֥וּב תַּעֲלֵֽנִי׃ ²¹תֶּ֤רֶב׀ גְּֽדֻלָּתִ֗י וְתִסֹּ֥ב תְּֽנַחֲמֵֽנִי׃ ²²גַּם־ אֲנִ֤י׀ אוֹדְךָ֣ בִכְלִי־ נֶבֶל֮ אֲמִתְּךָ֪ אֱלֹ֫הָ֥י אֲזַמְּרָ֣ה לְךָ֣ בְכִנּ֑וֹר קְ֝ד֗וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ²³תְּרַנֵּ֣נָּ֣ה שְׂ֭פָתַי כִּ֣י אֲזַמְּרָה־ לָּ֑ךְ וְ֝נַפְשִׁ֗י אֲשֶׁ֣ר פָּדִֽיתָ׃ ²⁴גַּם־ לְשׁוֹנִ֗י כָּל־ הַ֭יּוֹם תֶּהְגֶּ֣ה צִדְקָתֶ֑ךָ כִּי־ בֹ֥שׁוּ כִֽי־ חָ֝פְר֗וּ מְבַקְשֵׁ֥י רָעָתִֽי׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 71:1

26 Psalms 71:1-24 ¹In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

²Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

³Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

⁴Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

⁵For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

⁶By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mothers bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

⁷I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

⁸Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

⁹Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

¹⁰For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

¹¹Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

¹²O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

¹³Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

¹⁴But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

¹⁵My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.

¹⁶I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

¹⁷O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

¹⁸Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

¹⁹Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!

²⁰Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

²¹Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

²²I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

²³My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

²⁴My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.(KJV)

Let me never be put to shame.

²Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me:

Bow down thine ear unto me, and save me.

³Be thou to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort:

Thou hast given commandment to save me;

For thou art my rock and my fortress.

⁴Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked,

Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

⁵For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah:

Thou art my trust from my youth.

⁶By thee have I been holden up from the womb;

Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels:

My praise shall be continually of thee.

⁷I am as a wonder unto many;

But thou art my strong refuge.

⁸My mouth shall be filled with thy praise,

And with thy honor all the day.

⁹Cast me not off in the time of old age;

Forsake me not when my strength faileth.

¹⁰For mine enemies speak concerning me;

And they that watch for my soul take counsel together,

¹¹Saying, God hath forsaken him:

Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver.

¹²O God, be not far from me;

O my God, make haste to help me.

¹³Let them be put to shame and consumed that are adversaries to my soul;

Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.

¹⁴But I will hope continually,

And will praise thee yet more and more.

¹⁵My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness,

And of thy salvation all the day;

For I know not the numbers thereof.

¹⁶I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah:

I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

¹⁷O God, thou hast taught me from my youth;

And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

¹⁸Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not,

Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation,

Thy might to every one that is to come.

¹⁹Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high;

Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto thee?

²⁰Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles,

Wilt quicken us again,

And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.

²¹Increase thou my greatness,

And turn again and comfort me.

²²I will also praise thee with the psaltery,

Even thy truth, O my God:

Unto thee will I sing praises with the harp,

O thou Holy One of Israel.

²³My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee;

And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

²⁴My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long;(ASV)

26 Psalms 71:1-24 ¹IN thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be confounded. ²Deliver me in thy righteousness and rescue me; incline thine ear to me and save me. ³Be thou to me a sheltering rock whereunto I may continually resort; give thou commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress. ⁴Deliver me, O God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. ⁵For thou art my hope, O LORD; thou art my trust from my youth, O God. ⁶By thee have I been sustained from the womb; thou art my hope since I was in my mother's body; my praise is continually of thee. ⁷I am as a wonder to many; but thou art my strong refuge. ⁸Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day. ⁹Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails. ¹⁰For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lie in wait for my soul take counsel together, ¹¹Saying, God has forsaken him; pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver him. ¹²O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste for my help. ¹³Let them be ashamed and embarrassed who envy my soul: let them be covered with shame that seek my hurt.

¹⁴¶ But I will pray continually, and will praise thee yet more and more. ¹⁵My mouth shall show forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day, for I cannot read. ¹⁶I will go in the strength of the LORD; I will make mention of thy righteousness even of thine only. ¹⁷O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, so that I might declare thy wondrous works. ¹⁸Now also to old age and gray hairs, O God, forsake me not; until I have shown thy strength and thy might to the generation that is to come. ¹⁹Thy righteousness also, O God, has reached to the highest; thou hast done great things; O God, who is like unto thee! ²⁰Thou who hast shown me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. ²¹Thou hast increased my greatness, and hast returned to comfort me. ²²I will also praise thee with the psaltery, I will sing to thy truth, O my God; unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel. ²³My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. ²⁴My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long; for they are confounded, for they are brought to shame that seek my hurt. My praise is continually of thee. ⁷I have been as a portent to many; but thou art my strong refuge. ⁸My mouth is filled with thy praise, and with thy glory all the day. ⁹Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent. ¹⁰For my enemies speak concerning me, those who watch for my life consult together, ¹¹and say, "God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver him." ¹²O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! ¹³May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt. ¹⁴But I will hope continually, and will praise thee yet more and more. ¹⁵My mouth will tell of thy righteous acts, of thy deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. ¹⁶With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come, I will praise thy righteousness, thine alone. ¹⁷O God, from my youth thou hast taught me, and I still proclaim thy wondrous deeds. ¹⁸So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, till I proclaim thy might to all the generations to come. Thy power ¹⁹and thy righteousness, O God, reach the high heavens. Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like thee? ²⁰Thou who hast made me see many sore troubles wilt revive me again; from the depths of the earth thou wilt bring me up again. ²¹Thou wilt increase my honor, and comfort me again. ²²I will also praise thee with the harp for thy faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to thee with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. ²³My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to thee; my soul also, which thou hast rescued. ²⁴And my tongue will talk of thy righteous help all the day long, for they have been put to shame and disgraced who sought to do me hurt. 26 Psalms 71:1-24 ¹Psalm 71 In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.

²Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me.

³Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

⁴Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of evil and cruel men.

⁵For you have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth.

⁶From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother's womb. I will ever praise you.

⁷I have become like a portent to many, but you are my strong refuge.

⁸My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.

⁹Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone. ¹⁰For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together.

¹¹They say, "God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him."

¹²Be not far from me, O God; come quickly, O my God, to help me.

¹³May my accusers perish in shame; may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace.

¹⁴But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.

¹⁵My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure. ¹⁶I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, O Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone.

¹⁷Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.

¹⁸Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.

¹⁹Your righteousness reaches to the skies, O God, you who have done great things. Who, O God, is like you?

²⁰Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. ²¹You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.

²²I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.

²³My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you -- I, whom you have redeemed.

²⁴My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion.(NIV)

¹¹Saying, 'God has forsaken him.
Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him.'

¹²God, don't be far from me.
My God, hurry to help me.

¹³Let my accusers be disappointed and consumed.
Let them be covered with disgrace and scorn who want to harm me.

¹⁴But I will always hope,
And will add to all of your praise.

¹⁵My mouth will tell about your righteousness,
And of your salvation all day,
Though I don't know its full measure.

26 Psalms 71:1-24 ¹IN you, oh Yahvah, I put my trust; let me never be confounded. ²Deliver me in your righteousness and rescue me; incline your ear to me and save me. ³Be to me a sheltering rock where I may continually resort; give commandment to save me; for you are my rock and my fortress. ⁴Deliver me, oh God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. ⁵For you are my hope, oh Yahvah; you are my trust from my youth, oh God. ⁶By you I have been sustained from the womb; you are my hope since I was in my mother's body; my praise is continually of you. ⁷I am as a wonder to many; but you are my strong refuge. ⁸Let my mouth be filled with your praise and with your honor all the day. ⁹Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails. ¹⁰For my enemies speak against me; and those who lie in wait for my soul take counsel together, ¹¹Saying, God has forsaken him; pursue and take him; for there is no one to deliver him. ¹²Oh God, do not be far from me; oh my God, make haste for my help. ¹³Let them be ashamed and embarrassed who envy my soul: let them be covered with shame that seek my hurt.

¹⁴But I will pray continually, and will praise you yet more and more. ¹⁵My mouth will show forth your righteousness and your salvation all the day, for I cannot read. ¹⁶I will go in the strength of Yahvah; I will make mention of your righteousness even of you only. ¹⁷Oh God, you have taught me from my youth, so that I might declare your wondrous works. ¹⁸Now also to old age and gray hairs, oh God, do not forsake me; until I have shown your strength and your might to the generation that is to come. ¹⁹Your righteousness, oh God, has also reached to the highest; you have done great things; oh God, who is like you. ²⁰You who have shown me great and severe troubles, will quicken me again, and will bring me up again from the depths of the earth. ²¹You have increased my greatness, and have returned to comfort me. ²²I will also praise you with the psaltery, I will sing of your truth, oh my God; to you I will sing with the harp, oh Holy One of Israel. ²³My lips will greatly rejoice when I sing to you; and my soul, which you have redeemed. ²⁴My tongue will also talk of your righteousness all the day long; for they are confounded, for they are brought to shame that seek my hurt.
