26 Psalms 71:1-24 1In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

2Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

3Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

4Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

5For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

6By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mothers bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

7I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

8Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

9Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

10For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

11Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

12O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

13Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

14But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

15My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.

16I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

17O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

18Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

19Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!

20Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

21Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

22I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

23My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

24My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.(KJV)

26 Psalms 71:1-24 1In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge:

Let me never be put to shame.

2Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me:

Bow down thine ear unto me, and save me.

3Be thou to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort:

Thou hast given commandment to save me;

For thou art my rock and my fortress.

4Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked,

Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

5For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah:

Thou art my trust from my youth.

6By thee have I been holden up from the womb;

Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels:

My praise shall be continually of thee.

7I am as a wonder unto many;

But thou art my strong refuge.

8My mouth shall be filled with thy praise,

And with thy honor all the day.

9Cast me not off in the time of old age;

Forsake me not when my strength faileth.

10For mine enemies speak concerning me;

And they that watch for my soul take counsel together,

11Saying, God hath forsaken him:

Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver.

12O God, be not far from me;

O my God, make haste to help me.

13Let them be put to shame and consumed that are adversaries to my soul;

Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.

14But I will hope continually,

And will praise thee yet more and more.

15My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness,

And of thy salvation all the day;

For I know not the numbers thereof.

16I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah:

I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

17O God, thou hast taught me from my youth;

And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

18Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not,

Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation,

Thy might to every one that is to come.

19Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high;

Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto thee?

20Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles,

Wilt quicken us again,

And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.

21Increase thou my greatness,

And turn again and comfort me.

22I will also praise thee with the psaltery,

Even thy truth, O my God:

Unto thee will I sing praises with the harp,

O thou Holy One of Israel.

23My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee;

And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

24My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long;(ASV)

26 Psalms 71:1-24 1In thee, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame! 2In thy righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline thy ear to me, and save me! 3Be thou to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress, to save me, for thou art my rock and my fortress. 4Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man. 5For thou, O Lord, art my hope, my trust, O LORD, from my youth. 6Upon thee I have leaned from my birth; thou art he who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of thee. 7I have been as a portent to many; but thou art my strong refuge. 8My mouth is filled with thy praise, and with thy glory all the day. 9Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent. 10For my enemies speak concerning me, those who watch for my life consult together, 11and say, "God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver him." 12O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! 13May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt. 14But I will hope continually, and will praise thee yet more and more. 15My mouth will tell of thy righteous acts, of thy deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. 16With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come, I will praise thy righteousness, thine alone. 17O God, from my youth thou hast taught me, and I still proclaim thy wondrous deeds. 18So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, till I proclaim thy might to all the generations to come. Thy power 19and thy righteousness, O God, reach the high heavens. Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like thee? 20Thou who hast made me see many sore troubles wilt revive me again; from the depths of the earth thou wilt bring me up again. 21Thou wilt increase my honor, and comfort me again. 22I will also praise thee with the harp for thy faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to thee with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. 23My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to thee; my soul also, which thou hast rescued. 24And my tongue will talk of thy righteous help all the day long, for they have been put to shame and disgraced who sought to do me hurt. 13May my accusers perish in shame; may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace.

14But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.

15My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure. 16I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, O Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone.

20Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. 21You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.

22I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.
