42 Mark 26 Psalms 31:1-24
26 Psalms 31:1-24
2Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. 3For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy names sake lead me, and guide me. 4Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength. 5Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. 6I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD. 7I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; 8And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room. 9Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly. 10For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed. 11I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me. 12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel. 13For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life. 14But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. 15My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. 16Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies sake. 17Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave. 18Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. 19Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! 20Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. 21Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city. 22For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. 23O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. 24Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.(KJV) 26 Psalms 31:1-24

9¶ Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in distress; mine eye is troubled with wrath, yea, my soul and my body. 10For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing; my strength is weakened because of poverty, and my bones are shaken because of my enemies. 11I have become a reproach to my neighbors and a dread to my acquaintances: they that saw me on the street fled from me. 12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind; I am like something given up for lost. 13For I have heard of the complicity of many persons; while they connived together against me, they schemed to take away my life. 14But I trusted in thee, O LORD; I said, Thou art my God, O LORD. 15The times are in thy hand; deliver me from the hand of mine enemies and from them that persecute me. 16Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; save me through thy mercies. 17Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee; let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave. 18Let the lips of the wicked be silent; for they speak falsely and disdainfully against the righteous. 19¶ Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that worship thee, which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! 20Hide them in the citadel of thy presence from the tumult of men; with thy shadow guard them from contention. 21Blessed be the LORD, for he has elected for himself the chosen ones in a strong city? 22I said in my haste, I am lost from before thine eyes; nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. 23O love the LORD, all you his righteous ones; for the LORD preserves the faithful, and rewards the wicked according to their works. 24Be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that trust in the LORD. 2Turn your ear to me, be my rock of refuge,
3Since you are my rock and my fortress,
4Free me from the trap that is set for me,
5Into your hands I commit my spirit;
6I hate those who cling to worthless idols;
7I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
8You have not handed me over to the enemy
9Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress;

16Let your face shine on your servant;
17Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, but let the wicked be put to shame
18Let their lying lips be silenced,
19How great is your goodness, which you bestow in the sight of men
20In the shelter of your presence you hide them in your dwelling you keep them safe

24Be strong, and let your heart take courage, 26 Psalms 31:1-24
9Have mercy on me, oh Yahvah, for I am in distress; my eye is troubled with wrath, yes, my soul and my body. 10For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing; my strength is weakened because of poverty, and my bones are shaken because of my enemies. 11I have become a disgrace to my neighbors and a dread to my acquaintances: those who saw me on the street fled from me. 12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind; I am like something given up for lost. 13For I have heard of the complicity of many persons; while they connived together against me, they schemed to take away my life. 14But I trusted in you, oh Yahvah; I said, You are my God, oh Yahvah. 15The times are in your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me. 16Make your face shine on your servant; save me through your mercies. 17Do not let me be ashamed, oh Yahvah; for I have called on you; let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave. 18Let the lips of the wicked be silent; for they speak falsely and disdainfully against the righteous. 19Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who worship you, which you have worked for those who trust in you before the sons of men. 20Hide them in the citadel of your presence from the tumult of men; with your shadow guard them from contention. 21Blessed be Yahvah, for he has elected for himself the chosen ones in a strong city. 22I said in my haste, I am lost from before your eyes; nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to you. 23Oh love Yahvah, all his righteous ones; for Yahvah preserves the faithful, and rewards the wicked according to their works. 24Be of good courage and he will strengthen your heart, all you who trust in Yahvah.
