26 Psalms 31:1-24 1In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

2Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

3For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy names sake lead me, and guide me.

4Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

5Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

6I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

7I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

8And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

9Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

10For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

11I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

13For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

14But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.

15My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

16Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies sake.

17Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

18Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

19Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

20Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

22For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

23O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

24Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.(KJV)

26 Psalms 31:1-24 1In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge;

Let me never be put to shame:

Deliver me in thy righteousness.

2Bow down thine ear unto me; deliver me speedily:

Be thou to me a strong rock,

A house of defence to save me.

3For thou art my rock and my fortress;

Therefore for thy name's sake lead me and guide me.

4Pluck me out of the net that they have laid privily for me;

For thou art my stronghold.

5Into thy hand I commend my spirit:

Thou hast redeemed me, O Jehovah, thou God of truth.

6I hate them that regard lying vanities;

But I trust in Jehovah.

7I will be glad and rejoice in thy lovingkindness;

For thou hast seen my affliction:

Thou hast known my soul in adversities;

8And thou hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy;

Thou hast set my feet in a large place.

9Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah, for I am in distress:

Mine eye wasteth away with grief, yea, my soul and my body.

10For my life is spent with sorrow,

And my years with sighing:

My strength faileth because of mine iniquity,

And my bones are wasted away.

11Because of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach,

Yea, unto my neighbors exceedingly,

And a fear to mine acquaintance:

They that did see me without fled from me.

12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind:

I am like a broken vessel.

13For I have heard the defaming of many,

Terror on every side:

While they took counsel together against me,

They devised to take away my life.

14But I trusted in thee, O Jehovah:

I said, Thou art my God.

15My times are in thy hand:

Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

16Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:

Save me in thy lovingkindness.

17Let me not be put to shame, O Jehovah; for I have called upon thee:

Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

18Let the lying lips be dumb,

Which speak against the righteous insolently,

With pride and contempt.

19Oh how great is thy goodness,

Which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee,

Which thou hast wrought for them that take refuge in thee,

Before the sons of men!

20In the covert of thy presence wilt thou hide them from the plottings of man:

Thou wilt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21Blessed be Jehovah;

For he hath showed me his marvellous lovingkindness in a strong city.

22As for me, I said in my haste,

I am cut off from before thine eyes:

Nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications

When I cried unto thee.

23Oh love Jehovah, all ye his saints:

Jehovah preserveth the faithful,

And plentifully rewardeth him that dealeth proudly.

24Be strong, and let your heart take courage,(ASV)

26 Psalms 31:1-24 1IN thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in thy righteousness. 2Incline thine ear to me and answer me speedily; be thou unto me the God, the helper, and the house of refuge; and save me, 3For thou art my strength and my refuge; therefore for thy name's sake comfort me and guide me. 4Pull me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me; for thou art my protector. 5Into thy hand I commit my spirit; thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. 6I have hated them that observe false worship; but I trust in thee, O LORD. 7I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy; for thou hast seen my humility; thou hast known my soul in adversities; 8And thou hast not surrendered me into the hand of my enemies; thou hast established my feet in tranquility.

9¶ Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in distress; mine eye is troubled with wrath, yea, my soul and my body. 10For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing; my strength is weakened because of poverty, and my bones are shaken because of my enemies. 11I have become a reproach to my neighbors and a dread to my acquaintances: they that saw me on the street fled from me. 12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind; I am like something given up for lost. 13For I have heard of the complicity of many persons; while they connived together against me, they schemed to take away my life. 14But I trusted in thee, O LORD; I said, Thou art my God, O LORD. 15The times are in thy hand; deliver me from the hand of mine enemies and from them that persecute me. 16Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; save me through thy mercies. 17Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee; let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave. 18Let the lips of the wicked be silent; for they speak falsely and disdainfully against the righteous.

19¶ Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that worship thee, which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! 20Hide them in the citadel of thy presence from the tumult of men; with thy shadow guard them from contention. 21Blessed be the LORD, for he has elected for himself the chosen ones in a strong city? 22I said in my haste, I am lost from before thine eyes; nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. 23O love the LORD, all you his righteous ones; for the LORD preserves the faithful, and rewards the wicked according to their works. 24Be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that trust in the LORD. 26 Psalms 31:1-24 1To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. 2In thee, O LORD, do I seek refuge; let me never be put to shame; in thy righteousness deliver me! 3Incline thy ear to me, rescue me speedily! Be thou a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me! 4Yea, thou art my rock and my fortress; for thy name's sake lead me and guide me, 5take me out of the net which is hidden for me, for thou art my refuge. 6Into thy hand I commit my spirit; thou hast redeemed me, O LORD, faithful God. 7Thou hatest those who pay regard to vain idols; but I trust in the LORD. 8I will rejoice and be glad for thy steadfast love, because thou hast seen my affliction, thou hast taken heed of my adversities, 9and hast not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; thou hast set my feet in a broad place. 10Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eye is wasted from grief, my soul and my body also. 11For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my misery, and my bones waste away. 12I am the scorn of all my adversaries, a horror to my neighbors, an object of dread to my acquaintances; those who see me in the street flee from me. 13I have passed out of mind like one who is dead; I have become like a broken vessel. 14Yea, I hear the whispering of many-- terror on every side!-- as they scheme together against me, as they plot to take my life. 15But I trust in thee, O LORD, I say, "Thou art my God." 16My times are in thy hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors! 17Let thy face shine on thy servant; save me in thy steadfast love! 18Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, for I call on thee; let the wicked be put to shame, let them go dumbfounded to Sheol. 19Let the lying lips be dumb, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt. 20O how abundant is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for those who fear thee, and wrought for those who take refuge in thee, in the sight of the sons of men! 21In the covert of thy presence thou hidest them from the plots of men; thou holdest them safe under thy shelter from the strife of tongues. 22Blessed be the LORD, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was beset as in a besieged city. 23I had said in my alarm, "I am driven far from thy sight." But thou didst hear my supplications, when I cried to thee for help. 24Love the LORD, all you his saints! The LORD preserves the faithful, but abundantly requites him who acts haughtily. [ (Psalms 31:25) Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD! ] (RSV)

26 Psalms 31:1-24 1In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
deliver me in your righteousness.

2Turn your ear to me,
come quickly to my rescue;

be my rock of refuge,
a strong fortress to save me.

3Since you are my rock and my fortress,
for the sake of your name lead and guide me.

4Free me from the trap that is set for me,
for you are my refuge.

5Into your hands I commit my spirit;
redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.

6I hate those who cling to worthless idols;
I trust in the LORD.

7I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
for you saw my affliction
and knew the anguish of my soul.

8You have not handed me over to the enemy
but have set my feet in a spacious place.

9Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress;
my eyes grow weak with sorrow,
my soul and my body with grief.

10My life is consumed by anguish
and my years by groaning;

my strength fails because of my affliction,
and my bones grow weak.

11Because of all my enemies,
I am the utter contempt of my neighbors;

I am a dread to my friends --
those who see me on the street flee from me.

12I am forgotten by them as though I were dead;
I have become like broken pottery.

13For I hear the slander of many;
there is terror on every side;

they conspire against me
and plot to take my life.

14But I trust in you, O LORD;
I say, "You are my God."

15My times are in your hands;
deliver me from my enemies
and from those who pursue me.

16Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love.

17Let me not be put to shame, O LORD,
for I have cried out to you;

but let the wicked be put to shame
and lie silent in the grave.

18Let their lying lips be silenced,
for with pride and contempt
they speak arrogantly against the righteous.

19How great is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you,

which you bestow in the sight of men
on those who take refuge in you.

20In the shelter of your presence you hide them
from the intrigues of men;

in your dwelling you keep them safe
from accusing tongues.

21Praise be to the LORD,
for he showed his wonderful love to me
when I was in a besieged city.

22In my alarm I said,
"I am cut off from your sight!"

Yet you heard my cry for mercy
when I called to you for help.

23Love the LORD, all his saints!
The LORD preserves the faithful,
but the proud he pays back in full.

24Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the LORD.(NIV)

19Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who worship you, which you have worked for those who trust in you before the sons of men. 20Hide them in the citadel of your presence from the tumult of men; with your shadow guard them from contention. 21Blessed be Yahvah, for he has elected for himself the chosen ones in a strong city. 22I said in my haste, I am lost from before your eyes; nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to you. 23Oh love Yahvah, all his righteous ones; for Yahvah preserves the faithful, and rewards the wicked according to their works. 24Be of good courage and he will strengthen your heart, all you who trust in Yahvah.
