26 Psalms 22:1-31 ¹לַ֭מְנַצֵּחַ עַל־ אַיֶּ֥לֶת הַשַּׁ֗חַר מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ ²אֵלִ֣י אֵ֭לִי לָמָ֣ה עֲזַבְתָּ֑נִי רָח֥וֹק מִֽ֝ישׁוּעָתִ֗י דִּבְרֵ֥י שַׁאֲגָתִֽי׃ ³אֱ‍ֽלֹהַ֗י אֶקְרָ֣א י֖וֹמָם וְלֹ֣א תַעֲנֶ֑ה וְ֝לַ֗יְלָה וְֽלֹא־ דֽוּמִיָּ֥ה לִֽי׃ ⁴וְאַתָּ֥ה קָד֑וֹשׁ י֝וֹשֵׁ֗ב תְּהִלּ֥וֹת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ⁵בְּ֭ךָ בָּטְח֣וּ אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ בָּ֝טְח֗וּ וַֽתְּפַלְּטֵֽמוֹ׃ ⁶אֵלֶ֣יךָ זָעֲק֣וּ וְנִמְלָ֑טוּ בְּךָ֖ בָטְח֣וּ וְלֹא־ בֽוֹשׁוּ׃ ⁷וְאָנֹכִ֣י תוֹלַ֣עַת וְלֹא־ אִ֑ישׁ חֶרְפַּ֥ת אָ֝דָ֗ם וּבְז֥וּי עָֽם׃ ⁸כָּל־ רֹ֭אַי יַלְעִ֣גוּ לִ֑י יַפְטִ֥ירוּ בְ֝שָׂפָ֗ה יָנִ֥יעוּ רֹֽאשׁ׃ ⁹גֹּ֣ל אֶל־ יְהוָ֣ה יְפַלְּטֵ֑הוּ יַ֝צִּילֵ֗הוּ כִּ֘י חָ֥פֵֽץ בּֽוֹ׃ ¹⁰כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֣ה גֹחִ֣י מִבָּ֑טֶן מַ֝בְטִיחִ֗י עַל־ שְׁדֵ֥י אִמִּֽי׃ ¹¹עָ֭לֶיךָ הָשְׁלַ֣כְתִּי מֵרָ֑חֶם מִבֶּ֥טֶן אִ֝מִּ֗י אֵ֣לִי אָֽתָּה׃ ¹²אַל־ תִּרְחַ֣ק מִ֭מֶּנִּי כִּי־ צָרָ֣ה קְרוֹבָ֑ה כִּי־ אֵ֥ין עוֹזֵֽר׃ ¹³סְ֭בָבוּנִי פָּרִ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים אַבִּירֵ֖י בָשָׁ֣ן כִּתְּרֽוּנִי׃ ¹⁴פָּצ֣וּ עָלַ֣י פִּיהֶ֑ם אַ֝רְיֵ֗ה טֹרֵ֥ף וְשֹׁאֵֽג׃ ¹⁵כַּמַּ֥יִם נִשְׁפַּכְתִּי֮ וְהִתְפָּֽרְד֗וּ כָּֽל־ עַצְמ֫וֹתָ֥י הָיָ֣ה לִ֭בִּי כַּדּוֹנָ֑ג נָ֝מֵ֗ס בְּת֣וֹךְ מֵעָֽי׃ ¹⁶יָ֘בֵ֤שׁ כַּחֶ֨רֶשׂ׀ כֹּחִ֗י וּ֖לְשׁוֹנִי מֻדְבָּ֣ק מַלְקוֹחָ֑י וְֽלַעֲפַר־ מָ֥וֶת תִּשְׁפְּתֵֽנִי׃ ¹⁷כִּ֥י סְבָב֗וּנִי כְּלָ֫בִ֥ים עֲדַ֣ת מְ֭רֵעִים הִקִּיפ֑וּנִי כָּ֝אֲרִ֗י יָדַ֥י וְרַגְלָֽי׃ ¹⁸אֲסַפֵּ֥ר כָּל־ עַצְמוֹתָ֑י הֵ֥מָּה יַ֝בִּ֗יטוּ יִרְאוּ־ בִֽי׃ ¹⁹יְחַלְּק֣וּ בְגָדַ֣י לָהֶ֑ם וְעַל־ לְ֝בוּשִׁ֗י יַפִּ֥ילוּ גוֹרָֽל׃ ²⁰וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אַל־ תִּרְחָ֑ק אֱ֝יָלוּתִ֗י לְעֶזְרָ֥תִי חֽוּשָׁה׃ ²¹הַצִּ֣ילָה מֵחֶ֣רֶב נַפְשִׁ֑י מִיַּד־ כֶּ֝֗לֶב יְחִידָתִֽי׃ ²²ה֭וֹשִׁיעֵנִי מִפִּ֣י אַרְיֵ֑ה וּמִקַּרְנֵ֖י רֵמִ֣ים עֲנִיתָֽנִי׃ ²³אֲסַפְּרָ֣ה שִׁמְךָ֣ לְאֶחָ֑י בְּת֖וֹךְ קָהָ֣ל אֲהַלְלֶֽךָּ׃ ²⁴יִרְאֵ֤י יְהוָ֨ה׀ הַֽלְל֗וּהוּ כָּל־ זֶ֣רַע יַעֲקֹ֣ב כַּבְּד֑וּהוּ וְג֥וּרוּ מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ כָּל־ זֶ֥רַע יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ²⁵כִּ֤י לֹֽא־ בָזָ֨ה וְלֹ֪א שִׁקַּ֡ץ עֱנ֬וּת עָנִ֗י וְלֹא־ הִסְתִּ֣יר פָּנָ֣יו מִמֶּ֑נּוּ וּֽבְשַׁוְּע֖וֹ אֵלָ֣יו שָׁמֵֽעַ׃ ²⁶מֵ֥אִתְּךָ֗ תְֽהִלָּ֫תִ֥י בְּקָהָ֥ל רָ֑ב נְדָרַ֥י אֲ֝שַׁלֵּ֗ם נֶ֣גֶד יְרֵאָֽיו׃ ²⁷יֹאכְל֬וּ עֲנָוִ֨ים׀ וְיִשְׂבָּ֗עוּ יְהַֽלְל֣וּ יְ֭הוָה דֹּ֣רְשָׁ֑יו יְחִ֖י לְבַבְכֶ֣ם לָעַֽד׃ ²⁸יִזְכְּר֤וּ׀ וְיָשֻׁ֣בוּ אֶל־ יְ֭הוָה כָּל־ אַפְסֵי־ אָ֑רֶץ וְיִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לְ֝פָנֶ֗יךָ כָּֽל־ מִשְׁפְּח֥וֹת גּוֹיִֽם׃ ²⁹כִּ֣י לַ֭יהוָה הַמְּלוּכָ֑ה וּ֝מֹשֵׁ֗ל בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ ³⁰אָכְל֬וּ וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוּ֨וּ׀ כָּֽל־ דִּשְׁנֵי־ אֶ֗רֶץ לְפָנָ֣יו יִ֭כְרְעוּ כָּל־ יוֹרְדֵ֣י עָפָ֑ר וְ֝נַפְשׁ֗וֹ לֹ֣א חִיָּֽה׃ ³¹זֶ֥רַע יַֽעַבְדֶ֑נּוּ יְסֻפַּ֖ר לַֽאדֹנָ֣י לַדּֽוֹר׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 22:1-31 ¹My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

²O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

³But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

⁴Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

⁵They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

⁶But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

⁷All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head saying,

⁸He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

⁹But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mothers breasts.

¹⁰I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mothers belly.

¹¹Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

¹²Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹³They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁴I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

¹⁵My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁶For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

¹⁷I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

¹⁸They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

¹⁹But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

²⁰Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

²¹Save me from the lions mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

²²I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

²³Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

²⁴For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

²⁵My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

²⁶The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

²⁷All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

²⁸For the kingdom is the LORDS: and he is the governor among the nations.

²⁹All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

³⁰A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

³¹They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.(KJV)

⁶But I am a worm, and no man;

A reproach of men, and despised of the people.

⁸Commit thyself unto Jehovah;

Let him deliver him:

Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.

⁹But thou art he that took me out of the womb;

Thou didst make me trust when I was upon my mother's breasts.

¹⁰I was cast upon thee from the womb;

Thou art my God since my mother bare me.

¹¹Be not far from me; for trouble is near;

For there is none to help.

¹²Many bulls have compassed me;

Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹³They gape upon me with their mouth,

As a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁴I am poured out like water,

And all my bones are out of joint:

My heart is like wax;

It is melted within me.

A company of evil-doers have inclosed me;

They pierced my hands and my feet.

They look and stare upon me.

¹⁸They part my garments among them,

And upon my vesture do they cast lots.

¹⁹But be not thou far off, O Jehovah:

O thou my succor, haste thee to help me.

²⁰Deliver my soul from the sword,

My darling from the power of the dog.

²¹Save me from the lion's mouth;

Yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me.

²²I will declare thy name unto my brethren:

In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.

²³Ye that fear Jehovah, praise him;

All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him;

And stand in awe of him, all ye the seed of Israel.

²⁴For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;

Neither hath he hid his face from him;

But when he cried unto him, he heard.

²⁵Of thee cometh my praise in the great assembly:

I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

²⁶The meek shall eat and be satisfied;

They shall praise Jehovah that seek after him:

Let your heart live for ever.

²⁷All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah;

And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

²⁸For the kingdom is Jehovah's;

And he is the ruler over the nations.

²⁹All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship:

All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him,

Even he that cannot keep his soul alive.

³⁰A seed shall serve him;

It shall be told of the Lord unto the next generation.

³¹They shall come and shall declare his righteousness(ASV)

26 Psalms 22:1-31 ¹MY God, my God, why hast thou let me to live? and yet thou hast delayed my salvation from me, because of the words of my folly. ²O my God, I call thee in the daytime but thou answerest me not; and in the night season thou abidest not with me. ³For thou art holy, and Israel dwells under thy glory. ⁴Our fathers trusted in thee; they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. ⁵They cried unto thee and were delivered; they trusted in thee and were not confounded. ⁶But I am a worm, and not a man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. ⁷All they that saw me have laughed me to scorn; they shoot out with their lips, they shake their heads, saying, ⁸He trusted in the LORD; let the LORD deliver him; let him save him, if he be delighted in him. ⁹For thou art my trust since I came out of the womb, and my hope since I was upon my mother's breasts. ¹⁰I was put under thy care from the womb; thou art my God from my mother's belly.

¹¹¶ Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. ¹²Many bulls have surrounded me: strong bulls of Bashan have besieged me. ¹³Their mouths snarl against me, as a ravening and roaring lion. ¹⁴I am poured out like water and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is melted like wax, and my bowels are wasted in the midst of me. ¹⁵My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaves to my jaws; and thou hast thrown me into the dust of death. ¹⁶For the vicious have surrounded me; the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me; they have pierced my hands and my feet. ¹⁷My bones ached with pain; they looked and stared upon me. ¹⁸They parted my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. ¹⁹But, O LORD, be not thou far from me; O God, O God, abide to help me. ²⁰Deliver my soul from the sword, my only one from the hand of the vicious. ²¹Save me from the lion's mouth; save my meekness from the haughty,

²²¶ That I may declare thy name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. ²³You that revere the LORD, praise him; all you the offspring of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all you descendants of Israel. ²⁴For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the poor; neither has he turned away his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard him. ²⁵My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation; I will fulfil my vows before them that worship him. ²⁶The poor shall eat and be satisfied; they shall praise the LORD that seek him; their hearts shall live for ever. ²⁷All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD; and all the kindreds of the Gentiles shall worship before thee. ²⁸For the kingdom is the LORD'S; he is the governor over the Gentiles. ²⁹All they that are hungry upon earth shall eat and worship before the LORD; all they that are buried shall kneel before him; my soul is alive to him. ³⁰An offspring shall serve him; the generations thereof shall proclaim the LORD. ³¹They shall come and declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, and tell that which the LORD has done. Why art thou so far from helping me, from the words of my groaning? ³O my God, I cry by day, but thou dost not answer; and by night, but find no rest. ⁴Yet thou art holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. ⁵In thee our fathers trusted; they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. ⁶To thee they cried, and were saved; in thee they trusted, and were not disappointed. ⁷But I am a worm, and no man; scorned by men, and despised by the people. ⁸All who see me mock at me, they make mouths at me, they wag their heads; ⁹"He committed his cause to the LORD; let him deliver him, let him rescue him, for he delights in him!" ¹⁰Yet thou art he who took me from the womb; thou didst keep me safe upon my mother's breasts. ¹¹Upon thee was I cast from my birth, and since my mother bore me thou hast been my God. ¹²Be not far from me, for trouble is near and there is none to help. ¹³Many bulls encompass me, strong bulls of Bashan surround me; ¹⁴they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion. ¹⁵I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax, it is melted within my breast; ¹⁶my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaves to my jaws; thou dost lay me in the dust of death. ¹⁷Yea, dogs are round about me; a company of evildoers encircle me; they have pierced my hands and feet-- ¹⁸I can count all my bones-- they stare and gloat over me; ¹⁹they divide my garments among them, and for my raiment they cast lots. ²⁰But thou, O LORD, be not far off! O thou my help, hasten to my aid! ²¹Deliver my soul from the sword, my life from the power of the dog! ²²Save me from the mouth of the lion, my afflicted soul from the horns of the wild oxen! ²³I will tell of thy name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation I will praise thee: ²⁴You who fear the LORD, praise him! all you sons of Jacob, glorify him, and stand in awe of him, all you sons of Israel! ²⁵For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; and he has not hid his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him. ²⁶From thee comes my praise in the great congregation; my vows I will pay before those who fear him. ²⁷The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the LORD! May your hearts live for ever! ²⁸All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him. ²⁹For dominion belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations. ³⁰Yea, to him shall all the proud of the earth bow down; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust, and he who cannot keep himself alive. ³¹Posterity shall serve him; men shall tell of the Lord to the coming generation, [ (Psalms 22:32) and proclaim his deliverance to a people yet unborn, that he has wrought it. ] (RSV)

26 Psalms 22:1-31 ¹My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from the words of my groaning?

²O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, and am not silent.

³Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the praise of Israel.

⁴In you our fathers put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.

⁵They cried to you and were saved;
in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

⁶But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by men and despised by the people.

⁷All who see me mock me;
they hurl insults, shaking their heads:

⁸"He trusts in the LORD;
let the LORD rescue him.

Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him."

⁹Yet you brought me out of the womb;
you made me trust in you
even at my mother's breast.

¹⁰From birth I was cast upon you;
from my mother's womb you have been my God.

¹¹Do not be far from me,
for trouble is near
and there is no one to help.

¹²Many bulls surround me;
strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.

¹³Roaring lions tearing their prey
open their mouths wide against me.

¹⁴I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.

My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted away within me.

¹⁵My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death.

¹⁶Dogs have surrounded me;
a band of evil men has encircled me,
they have pierced my hands and my feet.

¹⁷I can count all my bones;
people stare and gloat over me.

¹⁸They divide my garments among them
and cast lots for my clothing.

¹⁹But you, O LORD, be not far off;
O my Strength, come quickly to help me.

²⁰Deliver my life from the sword,
my precious life from the power of the dogs.

²¹Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;
save me from the horns of the wild oxen.

²²I will declare your name to my brothers;
in the congregation I will praise you.

²³You who fear the LORD, praise him!
All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!
Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!

²⁴For he has not despised or disdained
the suffering of the afflicted one;

he has not hidden his face from him
but has listened to his cry for help.

²⁵From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;
before those who fear you will I fulfill my vows.

²⁶The poor will eat and be satisfied;
they who seek the LORD will praise him --
may your hearts live forever!

²⁷All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD,

and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,

²⁸for dominion belongs to the LORD
and he rules over the nations.

²⁹All the rich of the earth will feast and worship;
all who go down to the dust will kneel before him --
those who cannot keep themselves alive.

³⁰Posterity will serve him;
future generations will be told about the Lord.

³¹They will proclaim his righteousness
to a people yet unborn --
for he has done it.(NIV)

⁶But I am a worm, and no man;
A reproach of men, and despised by the people.

⁷All those who see me mock me.
They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,
⁸'He trusts in Yahweh;
Let him deliver him;
Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.'

⁹But you brought me out of the womb.
You made me trust at my mother's breasts.

¹⁰I was thrown on you from my mother's womb.
You are my God since my mother bore me.

¹¹Don't be far from me, for trouble is near.
For there is none to help.

¹²Many bulls have surrounded me.
Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.

¹³They open their mouths wide against me,
Lions tearing prey and roaring.

¹⁴I am poured out like water.
All my bones are out of joint.

My heart is like wax;
It is melted within me.

¹⁵My strength is dried up like a potsherd.
My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.

You have brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁶For dogs have surrounded me.
A company of evil-doers have enclosed me.
They pierced my hands and my feet.

¹⁷I can count all of my bones.

They look and stare at me.

¹⁸They divide my garments among them.
They cast lots for my clothing.

¹⁹But don't be far off, Yahweh_f .
You are my help: hurry to help me.

²⁰Deliver my soul from the sword,
My precious life from the power of the dog.

²¹Save me from the lion's mouth;
Yes, from the horns of the wild oxen you have answered me.

²²I will declare your name to my brothers.
In the midst of the assembly, I will praise you.

All you_P descendants of Jacob, glorify him!
Stand in awe of him, all you_P descendants of Israel!

²⁴For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted,
Neither has he hidden his face from him;
But when he cried to him, he heard.

²⁵Of you comes my praise in the great assembly.
I will pay my vows before those who fear him.

²⁶The humble shall eat and be satisfied.
They shall praise Yahweh who seek after him.
Let your hearts live forever.

²⁷All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to Yahweh.
All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.

²⁸For the kingdom is Yahweh's.
He is the ruler over the nations.

²⁹All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship.
All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him,
Even he who can't keep his soul alive.

³⁰Posterity shall serve him.
Future generations shall be told about the Lord.

³¹They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born,

Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

²My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don't answer;

³But you are holy,

⁴Our fathers trusted in you.
They trusted, and you delivered them.

²²That I may declare your name to my brothers; in the middle of the congregation I will praise you. ²³You who revere Yahvah, praise him; all you the offspring of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all you descendants of Israel. ²⁴For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the poor; nor has he turned away his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard him. ²⁵My praise will be of you in the great congregation; I will fulfill my vows before those who worship him. ²⁶The poor will eat and be satisfied; they will praise Yahvah that seek him; their hearts will live forever. ²⁷All the ends of the world will remember and turn to Yahvah; and all the relatives of the Gentiles will worship before you. ²⁸For the kingdom is Yahvah's; he is the governor over the Gentiles. ²⁹All those who are hungry on earth will eat and worship before Yahvah; all those who are buried will kneel before him; my soul is alive to him. ³⁰An offspring will serve him; its generations will proclaim the Lord. ³¹They will come and declare his righteousness to a people that will be born, and tell that which Yahvah has done.
