26 Psalms 21:1-13 ¹לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ ²יְֽהוָ֗ה בְּעָזְּךָ֥ יִשְׂמַח־ מֶ֑לֶךְ וּ֝בִישׁ֥וּעָתְךָ֗ מַה־ יָּ֥גֶיל מְאֹֽד׃ ³תַּאֲוַ֣ת לִ֭בּוֹ נָתַ֣תָּה לּ֑וֹ וַאֲרֶ֥שֶׁת שְׂ֝פָתָ֗יו בַּל־ מָנַ֥עְתָּ סֶּֽלָה׃ ⁴כִּֽי־ תְ֭קַדְּמֶנּוּ בִּרְכ֣וֹת ט֑וֹב תָּשִׁ֥ית לְ֝רֹאשׁ֗וֹ עֲטֶ֣רֶת פָּֽז׃ ⁵חַיִּ֤ים׀ שָׁאַ֣ל מִ֭מְּךָ נָתַ֣תָּה לּ֑וֹ אֹ֥רֶךְ יָ֝מִ֗ים עוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ ⁶גָּד֣וֹל כְּ֭בוֹדוֹ בִּישׁוּעָתֶ֑ךָ ה֥וֹד וְ֝הָדָר תְּשַׁוֶּ֥ה עָלָֽיו׃ ⁷כִּֽי־ תְשִׁיתֵ֣הוּ בְרָכ֣וֹת לָעַ֑ד תְּחַדֵּ֥הוּ בְ֝שִׂמְחָ֗ה אֶת־ פָּנֶֽיךָ׃ ⁸כִּֽי־ הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ בֹּטֵ֣חַ בַּיהוָ֑ה וּבְחֶ֥סֶד עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן בַּל־ יִמּֽוֹט׃ ⁹תִּמְצָ֣א יָ֭דְךָ לְכָל־ אֹיְבֶ֑יךָ יְ֝מִֽינְךָ תִּמְצָ֥א שֹׂנְאֶֽיךָ׃ ¹⁰תְּשִׁיתֵ֤מוֹ׀ כְּתַנּ֥וּר אֵשׁ֮ לְעֵ֪ת פָּ֫נֶ֥יךָ יְ֭הוָה בְּאַפּ֣וֹ יְבַלְּעֵ֑ם וְֽתֹאכְלֵ֥ם אֵֽשׁ׃ ¹¹פִּ֭רְיָמוֹ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ תְּאַבֵּ֑ד וְ֝זַרְעָ֗ם מִבְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ ¹²כִּי־ נָט֣וּ עָלֶ֣יךָ רָעָ֑ה חָֽשְׁב֥וּ מְ֝זִמָּ֗ה בַּל־ יוּכָֽלוּ׃ ¹³כִּ֭י תְּשִׁיתֵ֣מוֹ שֶׁ֑כֶם בְּ֝מֵֽיתָרֶ֗יךָ תְּכוֹנֵ֥ן עַל־ פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 21:1

26 Psalms 21:1-13 ¹The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

²Thou hast given him his hearts desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

³For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

⁴He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

⁵His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

⁶For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

⁷For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

⁸Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

⁹Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

¹⁰Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

¹¹For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

¹²Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

¹³Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.(KJV)

And in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

²Thou hast given him his heart's desire,

And hast not withholden the request of his lips.

³For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness:

Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.

⁴He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him,

Even length of days for ever and ever.

⁵His glory is great in thy salvation:

Honor and majesty dost thou lay upon him.

⁶For thou makest him most blessed for ever:

Thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.

⁷For the king trusteth in Jehovah;

And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.

⁸Thy hand will find out all thine enemies;

Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.

⁹Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger:

Jehovah will swallow them up in his wrath,

And the fire shall devour them.

¹⁰Their fruit wilt thou destroy from the earth,

And their seed from among the children of men.

¹¹For they intended evil against thee;

They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

¹²For thou wilt make them turn their back;

Thou wilt make ready with thy bowstrings against their face.

¹³Be thou exalted, O Jehovah, in thy strength:(ASV)

26 Psalms 21:1-13 ¹THE king shall rejoice in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! ²Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withheld the request of his lips. ³For thou hast blessed him beforehand with the blessings of goodness; thou hast set a precious crown on his head. ⁴He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. ⁵His glory is great in thy salvation; honor and majesty hast thou bestowed upon him. ⁶For thou hast made him most blessed for ever; thou hast made him joyful in gladness with thy countenance.

⁷¶ For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. ⁸Your hand shall overcome all your enemies; your right hand shall overcome those that hate you. ⁹You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of your wrath; the LORD shall consume them in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. ¹⁰Their fruit shall you destroy from the earth, and their offspring from among the children of men. ¹¹For they have planned evil against you; they conceived a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. ¹²For you shall place a scar on them; and you shall make ready your array against their faces. ¹³Be thou exalted, O LORD, in thine own strength; so will we sing and praise thy power. (LAM)

A Psalm of David. ²In thy strength the king rejoices, O LORD; and in thy help how greatly he exults! ³Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withheld the request of his lips. [Selah] ⁴For thou dost meet him with goodly blessings; thou dost set a crown of fine gold upon his head. ⁵He asked life of thee; thou gavest it to him, length of days for ever and ever. ⁶His glory is great through thy help; splendor and majesty thou dost bestow upon him. ⁷Yea, thou dost make him most blessed for ever; thou dost make him glad with the joy of thy presence. ⁸For the king trusts in the LORD; and through the steadfast love of the Most High he shall not be moved. ⁹Your hand will find out all your enemies; your right hand will find out those who hate you. ¹⁰You will make them as a blazing oven when you appear. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath; and fire will consume them. ¹¹You will destroy their offspring from the earth, and their children from among the sons of men. ¹²If they plan evil against you, if they devise mischief, they will not succeed. ¹³For you will put them to flight; you will aim at their faces with your bows. [ (Psalms 21:14) Be exalted, O LORD, in thy strength! We will sing and praise thy power. ] (RSV)

26 Psalms 21:1-13 ¹O LORD, the king rejoices in your strength.
How great is his joy in the victories you give!

²You have granted him the desire of his heart
and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

³You welcomed him with rich blessings
and placed a crown of pure gold on his head.

⁴He asked you for life, and you gave it to him --
length of days, for ever and ever.

⁵Through the victories you gave, his glory is great;
you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty.

⁶Surely you have granted him eternal blessings
and made him glad with the joy of your presence.

⁷For the king trusts in the LORD;
through the unfailing love of the Most High
he will not be shaken.

⁸Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies;
your right hand will seize your foes.

⁹At the time of your appearing
you will make them like a fiery furnace.

In his wrath the LORD will swallow them up,
and his fire will consume them.

¹⁰You will destroy their descendants from the earth,
their posterity from mankind.

¹¹Though they plot evil against you
and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed;

¹²for you will make them turn their backs
when you aim at them with drawn bow.

¹³Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength;
we will sing and praise your might.(NIV)

How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!

And have not withheld the request of his lips.
