26 Psalms 12:1-8 ¹לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ עַֽל־ הַשְּׁמִינִ֗ית מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ ²הוֹשִׁ֣יעָה יְ֭הוָה כִּי־ גָמַ֣ר חָסִ֑יד כִּי־ פַ֥סּוּ אֱ֝מוּנִ֗ים מִבְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ ³שָׁ֤וְא׀ יְֽדַבְּרוּ֮ אִ֤ישׁ אֶת־ רֵ֫עֵ֥הוּ שְׂפַ֥ת חֲלָק֑וֹת בְּלֵ֖ב וָלֵ֣ב יְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃ ⁴יַכְרֵ֣ת יְ֭הוָה כָּל־ שִׂפְתֵ֣י חֲלָק֑וֹת לָ֝שׁ֗וֹן מְדַבֶּ֥רֶת גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃ ⁵אֲשֶׁ֤ר אָֽמְר֨וּ׀ לִלְשֹׁנֵ֣נוּ נַ֭גְבִּיר שְׂפָתֵ֣ינוּ אִתָּ֑נוּ מִ֖י אָד֣וֹן לָֽנוּ׃ ⁶מִשֹּׁ֥ד עֲנִיִּים֮ מֵאַנְקַ֪ת אֶבְי֫וֹנִ֥ים עַתָּ֣ה אָ֭קוּם יֹאמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה אָשִׁ֥ית בְּ֝יֵ֗שַׁע יָפִ֥יחַֽ לֽוֹ׃ ⁷אִֽמֲר֣וֹת יְהוָה֮ אֲמָר֪וֹת טְהֹ֫ר֥וֹת כֶּ֣סֶף צָ֭רוּף בַּעֲלִ֣יל לָאָ֑רֶץ מְ֝זֻקָּ֗ק שִׁבְעָתָֽיִם׃ ⁸אַתָּֽה־ יְהוָ֥ה תִּשְׁמְרֵ֑ם תִּצְּרֶ֓נּוּ׀ מִן־ הַדּ֖וֹר ז֣וּ לְעוֹלָֽם׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 12:1

26 Psalms 12:1-8 ¹Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

²They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

³The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

⁴Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

⁵For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

⁶The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

⁷Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

⁸The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.(KJV)

For the faithful fail from among the children of men.

²They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor:

With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

³Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips,

The tongue that speaketh great things;

⁴Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail;

Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

⁵Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy,

Now will I arise, saith Jehovah;

I will set him in the safety he panteth for.

⁶The words of Jehovah are pure words;

As silver tried in a furnace on the earth,

Purified seven times.

⁷Thou wilt keep them, O Jehovah,

Thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

26 Psalms 12:1-8 ¹SAVE, O LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for faith hath disappeared from the earth. ²Men speak vanity, every one with his neighbour; with flattering lips, and with a double heart do they speak. ³The LORD shall destroy all flattering lips and tongues that speak proud things. ⁴For they have said, With our tongue will we prevail: our lips are our own; who is lord over us? ⁵Because of the oppression of the poor and the groans of the needy, now will I arise, says the LORD; and I will bring salvation openly. ⁶The words of the LORD are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace on earth, they are purified seven times. ⁷Thou shalt keep them, O LORD; thou shalt preserve me and save me from this generation for ever. ⁸For the wicked walk everywhere with contemptible pride like the children of Edom. A Psalm of David. ²Help, LORD; for there is no longer any that is godly; for the faithful have vanished from among the sons of men. ³Every one utters lies to his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak. ⁴May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts, ⁵those who say, "With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is our master?" ⁶"Because the poor are despoiled, because the needy groan, I will now arise," says the LORD; "I will place him in the safety for which he longs." ⁷The promises of the LORD are promises that are pure, silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times. ⁸Do thou, O LORD, protect us, guard us ever from this generation. [ (Psalms 12:9) On every side the wicked prowl, as vileness is exalted among the sons of men. ] (RSV)

26 Psalms 12:1-8 ¹Help, LORD, for the godly are no more;
the faithful have vanished from among men.

²Everyone lies to his neighbor;
their flattering lips speak with deception.

³May the LORD cut off all flattering lips
and every boastful tongue

⁴that says, "We will triumph with our tongues;
we own our lips -- who is our master?"

⁵"Because of the oppression of the weak
and the groaning of the needy,

I will now arise," says the LORD.
"I will protect them from those who malign them."

⁶And the words of the LORD are flawless,
like silver refined in a furnace of clay,
purified seven times.

⁷O LORD, you will keep us safe
and protect us from such people forever.

⁸The wicked freely strut about
when what is vile is honored among men.(NIV)
