26 Psalms 4:1-8 1לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ בִּנְגִינ֗וֹת מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ 2בְּקָרְאִ֡י עֲנֵ֤נִי׀ אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י צִדְקִ֗י בַּ֭צָּר הִרְחַ֣בְתָּ לִּ֑י חָ֝נֵּ֗נִי וּשְׁמַ֥ע תְּפִלָּתִֽי׃ 3בְּנֵ֥י אִ֡ישׁ עַד־ מֶ֬ה כְבוֹדִ֣י לִ֭כְלִמָּה תֶּאֱהָב֣וּן רִ֑יק תְּבַקְשׁ֖וּ כָזָ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃ 4וּדְע֗וּ כִּֽי־ הִפְלָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה חָסִ֣יד ל֑וֹ יְהוָ֥ה יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע בְּקָרְאִ֥י אֵלָֽיו׃ 5רִגְז֗וּ וְֽאַל־ תֶּ֫חֱטָ֥אוּ אִמְר֣וּ בִ֭לְבַבְכֶם עַֽל־ מִשְׁכַּבְכֶ֗ם וְדֹ֣מּוּ סֶֽלָה׃ 6זִבְח֥וּ זִבְחֵי־ צֶ֑דֶק וּ֝בִטְח֗וּ אֶל־ יְהוָֽה׃ 7רַבִּ֥ים אֹמְרִים֮ מִֽי־ יַרְאֵ֪נוּ֫ ט֥וֹב נְֽסָה־ עָ֭לֵינוּ א֨וֹר פָּנֶ֬יךָ יְהוָֽה׃ 8נָתַ֣תָּה שִׂמְחָ֣ה בְלִבִּ֑י מֵעֵ֬ת דְּגָנָ֖ם וְתִֽירוֹשָׁ֣ם רָֽבּוּ׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 4:1-8 1Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

3But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

4Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

6There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

8I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.(KJV)

How long will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood?

3But know that Jehovah hath set apart for himself him that is godly:

Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.

4Stand in awe, and sin not:

Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.

5Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,

And put your trust in Jehovah.

6Many there are that say, Who will show us any good?

Jehovah, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7Thou hast put gladness in my heart,

More than they have when their grain and their new wine are increased.

8In peace will I both lay me down and sleep;(ASV)

26 Psalms 4:1-8 1WHEN I have called thee, thou hast answered me, O my God and Saviour of my righteousness; thou hast comforted me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me and hear my prayer. 2Men, how long will you obscure my glory? how long will you love vanity? do you want deception forever? 3But know that the LORD has set apart for himself him that is wonderful; the LORD will hear when I call to him. 4Be angry and yet sin not; commune with your own heart and meditate upon your bed. 5Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in the LORD.

6¶ There are many that say, Who can show us a good man so that he may shine upon us the light of his countenance? 7O LORD, thou hast put gladness in my heart more than in the time that their wheat and their wine and their oil increased. 8in peace I will both lie down and sleep; for thou, O LORD, alone makest me dwell in safety. (LAM)

Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer. 3O men, how long shall my honor suffer shame? How long will you love vain words, and seek after lies? [Selah] 4But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him. 5Be angry, but sin not; commune with your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. [Selah] 6Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the LORD. 7There are many who say, "O that we might see some good! Lift up the light of thy countenance upon us, O LORD!" 8Thou hast put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. [ (Psalms 4:9) In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for thou alone, O LORD, makest me dwell in safety. ] (RSV)

O my righteous God.

Give me relief from my distress;
be merciful to me and hear my prayer.

2How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods? Selah

3Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself;
the LORD will hear when I call to him.

4In your anger do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent. Selah

5Offer right sacrifices
and trust in the LORD.

6Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?"
Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.

7You have filled my heart with greater joy
than when their grain and new wine abound.

8I will lie down and sleep in peace,
for you alone, O LORD,
make me dwell in safety.(NIV)

6There are many that say, Who can show us a good man so that he may shine on us the light of his countenance? 7Oh Yahvah, you have put gladness in my heart more than in the time that their wheat and their wine and their oil increased. 8In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you, oh Yahvah, alone make me live in safety.
