17 Nehemiah 10:1-39 ¹וּבְכָל־ זֹ֕את אֲנַ֛חְנוּ כֹּרְתִ֥ים אֲמָנָ֖ה וְכֹתְבִ֑ים וְעַל֙ הֶֽחָת֔וּם שָׂרֵ֥ינוּ לְוִיֵּ֖נוּ כֹּהֲנֵֽינוּ׃ ²וְעַ֖ל הַחֲתוּמִ֑ים נְחֶמְיָ֧ה הַתִּרְשָׁ֛תָא בֶּן־ חֲכַלְיָ֖ה וְצִדְקִיָּֽה׃ ³שְׂרָיָ֥ה עֲזַרְיָ֖ה יִרְמְיָֽה׃ ⁴פַּשְׁח֥וּר אֲמַרְיָ֖ה מַלְכִּיָּֽה׃ ⁵חַטּ֥וּשׁ שְׁבַנְיָ֖ה מַלּֽוּךְ׃ ⁶חָרִ֥ם מְרֵמ֖וֹת עֹֽבַדְיָֽה׃ ⁷דָּנִיֵּ֥אל גִּנְּת֖וֹן בָּרֽוּךְ׃ ⁸מְשֻׁלָּ֥ם אֲבִיָּ֖ה מִיָּמִֽן׃ ⁹מַֽעַזְיָ֥ה בִלְגַּ֖י שְׁמַֽעְיָ֑ה אֵ֖לֶּה הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃

¹⁰וְֽהַלְוִיִּ֑ם וְיֵשׁ֙וּעַ֙ בֶּן־ אֲזַנְיָ֔ה בִּנּ֕וּי מִבְּנֵ֥י חֵנָדָ֖ד קַדְמִיאֵֽל׃ ¹¹וַאֲחֵיהֶ֑ם שְׁבַנְיָ֧ה הֽוֹדִיָּ֛ה קְלִיטָ֖א פְּלָאיָ֥ה חָנָֽן׃ ¹²מִיכָ֥א רְח֖וֹב חֲשַׁבְיָֽה׃ ¹³זַכּ֥וּר שֵׁרֵֽבְיָ֖ה שְׁבַנְיָֽה׃ ¹⁴הוֹדִיָּ֥ה בָנִ֖י בְּנִֽינוּ׃

¹⁵רָאשֵׁ֖י הָעָ֑ם פַּרְעֹשׁ֙ פַּחַ֣ת מוֹאָ֔ב עֵילָ֥ם זַתּ֖וּא בָּנִֽי׃ ¹⁶בֻּנִּ֥י עַזְגָּ֖ד בֵּבָֽי׃ ¹⁷אֲדֹנִיָּ֥ה בִגְוַ֖י עָדִֽין׃ ¹⁸אָטֵ֥ר חִזְקִיָּ֖ה עַזּֽוּר׃ ¹⁹הוֹדִיָּ֥ה חָשֻׁ֖ם בֵּצָֽי׃ ²⁰חָרִ֥יף עֲנָת֖וֹת ²¹מַגְפִּיעָ֥שׁ מְשֻׁלָּ֖ם חֵזִֽיר׃ ²²מְשֵׁיזַבְאֵ֥ל צָד֖וֹק יַדּֽוּעַ׃ ²³פְּלַטְיָ֥ה חָנָ֖ן עֲנָיָֽה׃ ²⁴הוֹשֵׁ֥עַ חֲנַנְיָ֖ה חַשּֽׁוּב׃ ²⁵הַלּוֹחֵ֥שׁ פִּלְחָ֖א שׁוֹבֵֽק׃ ²⁶רְח֥וּם חֲשַׁבְנָ֖ה מַעֲשֵׂיָֽה׃ ²⁷וַאֲחִיָּ֥ה חָנָ֖ן עָנָֽן׃ ²⁸מַלּ֥וּךְ חָרִ֖ם בַּעֲנָֽה׃ ²⁹וּשְׁאָ֣ר הָעָ֡ם הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים הַ֠לְוִיִּם הַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֨ים הַמְשֹׁרְרִ֜ים הַנְּתִינִ֗ים וְֽכָל־ הַנִּבְדָּ֞ל מֵעַמֵּ֤י הָאֲרָצוֹת֙ אֶל־ תּוֹרַ֣ת הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים נְשֵׁיהֶ֖ם בְּנֵיהֶ֣ם וּבְנֹתֵיהֶ֑ם כֹּ֖ל יוֹדֵ֥עַ מֵבִֽין׃ ³⁰מַחֲזִיקִ֣ים עַל־ אֲחֵיהֶם֮ אַדִּירֵיהֶם֒ וּבָאִ֞ים בְּאָלָ֣ה וּבִשְׁבוּעָ֗ה לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ בְּתוֹרַ֣ת הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִתְּנָ֔ה בְּיַ֖ד מֹשֶׁ֣ה עֶֽבֶד־ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְלִשְׁמ֣וֹר וְלַעֲשׂ֗וֹת אֶת־ כָּל־ מִצְוֹת֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֲדֹנֵ֔ינוּ וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֖יו וְחֻקָּֽיו׃ ³¹וַאֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹא־ נִתֵּ֥ן בְּנֹתֵ֖ינוּ לְעַמֵּ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ וְאֶת־ בְּנֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם לֹ֥א נִקַּ֖ח לְבָנֵֽינוּ׃ ³²וְעַמֵּ֣י הָאָ֡רֶץ הַֽמְבִיאִים֩ אֶת־ הַמַּקָּח֨וֹת וְכָל־ שֶׁ֜בֶר בְּי֤וֹם הַשַּׁבָּת֙ לִמְכּ֔וֹר לֹא־ נִקַּ֥ח מֵהֶ֛ם בַּשַּׁבָּ֖ת וּבְי֣וֹם קֹ֑דֶשׁ וְנִטֹּ֛שׁ אֶת־ הַשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖ית וּמַשָּׁ֥א כָל־ יָֽד׃ ³³וְהֶעֱמַ֤דְנוּ עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ מִצְוֹ֔ת לָתֵ֥ת עָלֵ֛ינוּ שְׁלִשִׁ֥ית הַשֶּׁ֖קֶל בַּשָּׁנָ֑ה לַעֲבֹדַ֖ת בֵּ֥ית אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ ³⁴לְלֶ֣חֶם הַֽמַּעֲרֶ֡כֶת וּמִנְחַ֣ת הַתָּמִ֣יד וּלְעוֹלַ֣ת הַ֠תָּמִיד הַשַּׁבָּת֨וֹת הֶחֳדָשִׁ֜ים לַמּוֹעֲדִ֗ים וְלַקֳּדָשִׁים֙ וְלַ֣חַטָּא֔וֹת לְכַפֵּ֖ר עַל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְכֹ֖ל מְלֶ֥אכֶת בֵּית־ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

³⁵וְהַגּוֹרָל֨וֹת הִפַּ֜לְנוּ עַל־ קֻרְבַּ֣ן הָעֵצִ֗ים הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים הַלְוִיִּם֮ וְהָעָם֒ לְ֠הָבִיא לְבֵ֨ית אֱלֹהֵ֧ינוּ לְבֵית־ אֲבֹתֵ֛ינוּ לְעִתִּ֥ים מְזֻמָּנִ֖ים שָׁנָ֣ה בְשָׁנָ֑ה לְבַעֵ֗ר עַל־ מִזְבַּח֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ כַּכָּת֖וּב בַּתּוֹרָֽה׃ ³⁶וּלְהָבִ֞יא אֶת־ בִּכּוּרֵ֣י אַדְמָתֵ֗נוּ וּבִכּוּרֵ֛י כָּל־ פְּרִ֥י כָל־ עֵ֖ץ שָׁנָ֣ה בְשָׁנָ֑ה לְבֵ֖ית יְהוָֽה׃ ³⁷וְאֶת־ בְּכֹר֤וֹת בָּנֵ֙ינוּ֙ וּבְהֶמְתֵּ֔ינוּ כַּכָּת֖וּב בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה וְאֶת־ בְּכוֹרֵ֨י בְקָרֵ֜ינוּ וְצֹאנֵ֗ינוּ לְהָבִיא֙ לְבֵ֣ית אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ לַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים הַמְשָׁרְתִ֖ים בְּבֵ֥ית אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ ³⁸וְאֶת־ רֵאשִׁ֣ית עֲרִיסֹתֵ֣ינוּ וּ֠תְרוּמֹתֵינוּ וּפְרִ֨י כָל־ עֵ֜ץ תִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְיִצְהָ֗ר נָבִ֤יא לַכֹּהֲנִים֙ אֶל־ לִשְׁכ֣וֹת בֵּית־ אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ וּמַעְשַׂ֥ר אַדְמָתֵ֖נוּ לַלְוִיִּ֑ם וְהֵם֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם הַֽמְעַשְּׂרִ֔ים בְּכֹ֖ל עָרֵ֥י עֲבֹדָתֵֽנוּ׃ ³⁹וְהָיָ֨ה הַכֹּהֵ֧ן בֶּֽן־ אַהֲרֹ֛ן עִם־ הַלְוִיִּ֖ם בַּעְשֵׂ֣ר הַלְוִיִּ֑ם וְהַלְוִיִּ֞ם יַעֲל֨וּ אֶת־ מַעֲשַׂ֤ר הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂר֙ לְבֵ֣ית אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ אֶל־ הַלְּשָׁכ֖וֹת לְבֵ֥ית הָאוֹצָֽר׃ (WLC)

17 Nehemiah 10:1-39 ¹Now those that sealed were, Nehemiah, the Tirshatha, the son of Hachaliah, and Zidkijah, ²Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah, ³Pashur, Amariah, Malchijah, ⁴Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch, ⁵Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah, ⁶Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch, ⁷Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin, ⁸Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah: these were the priests. ⁹And the Levites: both Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel; ¹⁰And their brethren, Shebaniah, Hodijah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan, ¹¹Micha, Rehob, Hashabiah, ¹²Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah, ¹³Hodijah, Bani, Beninu. ¹⁴The chief of the people; Parosh, Pahath-moab, Elam, Zatthu, Bani, ¹⁵Bunni, Azgad, Bebai, ¹⁶Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin, ¹⁷Ater, Hizkijah, Azzur, ¹⁸Hodijah, Hashum, Bezai, ¹⁹Hariph, Anathoth, Nebai, ²⁰Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir, ²¹Meshezabeel, Zadok, Jaddua, ²²Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah, ²³Hoshea, Hananiah, Hashub, ²⁴Hallohesh, Pileha, Shobek, ²⁵Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah, ²⁶And Ahijah, Hanan, Anan, ²⁷Malluch, Harim, Baanah.

²⁸And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding; ²⁹They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in Gods law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes; ³⁰And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons: ³¹And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. ³²Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God; ³³For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. ³⁴And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law: ³⁵And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD: ³⁶Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God: ³⁷And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage. ³⁸And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house. ³⁹For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.(KJV)

17 Nehemiah 10:1-39 ¹NOW those who took an oath and sealed it were: Nehemiah, the elder, the son of Hananiah, the high priest, and Zerahiah, ²Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah, ³Pashur, Amariah, Malchijah, Shepatiah, ⁴Hattush, Shecaniah, Malluch, ⁵Shakum, Azmoth, Ebariah, ⁶Daniel, Gebiton, Baruch, ⁷Meshullam, Abijah, Benjamin, ⁸Maasiah, Bilgai, Shemaiah; these were the priests. ⁹And the Levites: Joshua the son of Azaniah, Bani, Mabnai, Hadar, and Kadmiah; ¹⁰And their brethren: Shecaniah, Urijah, Kelatiah, Pelatiah, Hanan, ¹¹Micha, Rehob, Hashabiah, ¹²Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shecaniah, ¹³Hodijah, the son of Bani. ¹⁴The chiefs of the people: Parosh, Shalit-moab, Elam, the Zetites. ¹⁵The sons of Azgar, the sons of Adonijah, ¹⁶Bigvai and Adon, ¹⁷Ater, Hezekiah, Azzur, ¹⁸Urijah, Hashum, Bezai, ¹⁹Hoziph, Anathoth, Nebai, ²⁰Mephgnish, Meshallum, Aziphi, ²¹Meshezapael, Zadok, Jehoiadah, ²²Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah, ²³Hoshea, Hananiah, Joshua, ²⁴Hallosh, Pileha, Shobek, ²⁵Arhum, Hoshabiah, Maasiah, ²⁶And Ahijah, Hanan, Anan, ²⁷Malluch, Haram, Baanah. ²⁸And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the servants, and all those who had separated themselves from the people of the lands to return to the law of the LORD, both they and their wives, their sons and their daughters and every one having knowledge and understanding. ²⁹Strengthened their brethren, their neighbors, taking oaths and making a covenant to walk in the LORD'S law which he gave by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our LORD and his judgments and his statutes; ³⁰And that we would not give our daughters to the people of the land nor take their daughters for our sons; ³¹And if the people of the land should bring wares or provisions on the sabbath day to sell, we would not buy it of them, and whosoever should engage his animal in service on the sabbath day, he would not receive hire, nor should he carry a burden on the sabbath day because it is holy; and in the seventh year we would forego all debts due to us.

²⁸"The rest of the people -- priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, temple servants and all who separated themselves from the neighboring peoples for the sake of the Law of God, together with their wives and all their sons and daughters who are able to understand -- ²⁹all these now join their brothers the nobles, and bind themselves with a curse and an oath to follow the Law of God given through Moses the servant of God and to obey carefully all the commands, regulations and decrees of the LORD our Lord.

³⁰"We promise not to give our daughters in marriage to the peoples around us or take their daughters for our sons.

³¹"When the neighboring peoples bring merchandise or grain to sell on the Sabbath, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on any holy day. Every seventh year we will forgo working the land and will cancel all debts.
