5 Deuteronomy 33:1-29 1And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. 3Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. 4Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. 5And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.

6Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.

7And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies. 8And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; 9Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. 10They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar. 11Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.

12And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.

13And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 14And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, 15And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, 16And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. 17His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

18And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents. 19They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.

20And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head. 21And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.

22And of Dan he said, Dan is a lions whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.

23And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.

24And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. 25Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.

26There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. 27The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. 28Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. 29Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.(KJV)

5 Deuteronomy 33:1-29 1And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2And he said,

Jehovah came from Sinai,

And rose from Seir unto them;

He shined forth from mount Paran,

And he came from the ten thousands of holy ones:

At his right hand was a fiery law for them.

3Yea, he loveth the people;

All his saints are in thy hand:

And they sat down at thy feet;

Every one shall receive of thy words.

4Moses commanded us a law,

An inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

5And he was king in Jeshurun,

When the heads of the people were gathered,

All the tribes of Israel together.

6Let Reuben live, and not die;

Nor let his men be few.

7And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said,

Hear, Jehovah, the voice of Judah,

And bring him in unto his people.

With his hands he contended for himself;

And thou shalt be a help against his adversaries.

8And of Levi he said,

Thy Thummim and thy Urim are with thy godly one,

Whom thou didst prove at Massah,

With whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

9Who said of his father, and of his mother, I have not seen him;

Neither did he acknowledge his brethren,

Nor knew he his own children:

For they have observed thy word,

And keep thy covenant.

10They shall teach Jacob thine ordinances,

And Israel thy law:

They shall put incense before thee,

And whole burnt-offering upon thine altar.

11Bless, Jehovah, his substance,

And accept the work of his hands:

Smite through the loins of them that rise up against him,

And of them that hate him, that they rise not again.

12Of Benjamin he said,

The beloved of Jehovah shall dwell in safety by him;

He covereth him all the day long,

And he dwelleth between his shoulders.

13And of Joseph he said,

Blessed of Jehovah be his land,

For the precious things of heaven, for the dew,

And for the deep that coucheth beneath,

14And for the precious things of the fruits of the sun,

And for the precious things of the growth of the moons,

15And for the chief things of the ancient mountains,

And for the precious things of the everlasting hills,

16And for the precious things of the earth and the fulness thereof,

And the good will of him that dwelt in the bush.

Let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph,

And upon the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

17The firstling of his herd, majesty is his;

And his horns are the horns of the wild-ox:

With them he shall push the peoples all of them, even the ends of the earth:

And they are the ten thousands of Ephraim,

And they are the thousands of Manasseh.

18And of Zebulun he said,

Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out;

And, Issachar, in thy tents.

19They shall call the peoples unto the mountain;

There shall they offer sacrifices of righteousness:

For they shall suck the abundance of the seas,

And the hidden treasures of the sand.

20And of Gad he said,

Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad:

He dwelleth as a lioness,

And teareth the arm, yea, the crown of the head.

21And he provided the first part for himself,

For there was the lawgiver's portion reserved;

And he came with the heads of the people;

He executed the righteousness of Jehovah,

And his ordinances with Israel.

22And of Dan he said,

Dan is a lion's whelp,

That leapeth forth from Bashan.

23And of Naphtali he said,

O Naphtali, satisfied with favor,

And full with the blessing of Jehovah,

Possess thou the west and the south.

24And of Asher he said,

Blessed be Asher with children;

Let him be acceptable unto his brethren,

And let him dip his foot in oil.

25Thy bars shall be iron and brass;

And as thy days, so shall thy strength be.

26There is none like unto God, O Jeshurun,

Who rideth upon the heavens for thy help,

And in his excellency on the skies.

27The eternal God is thy dwelling-place,

And underneath are the everlasting arms.

And he thrust out the enemy from before thee,

And said, Destroy.

28And Israel dwelleth in safety,

The fountain of Jacob alone,

In a land of grain and new wine;

Yea, his heavens drop down dew.

29Happy art thou, O Israel:(ASV)

5 Deuteronomy 33:1-29 1AND this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the servant of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and shined upon us from Seir; he rose up from mount Paran; he came with ten thousands of saints at his right hand. 3Yea, he supplied their needs; he also made them to be beloved by the nations; he blessed all his saints; and they followed closely after his feet, every one receiving one of his words. 4Moses delivered to us a law, and he gave it as an inheritance to the congregation of Jacob. 5And there shall be a king in Israel, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel are gathered together.

6¶ Let Reuben live, and not die; and let his people be numerous. 7And this is the blessing of Judah: Hear, O LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him close to his people; let his hands contend for him, and be thou a help to him from his oppressors.

8¶ And of Levi he said, Let your consecration and your light be upon the just one whom thou didst prove in trials and whom thou didst test at the waters of Mesotha; 9Who said of his father and of his mother, I have not seen them; neither did he recognize his brothers nor know his own children; for they have observed thy word and kept thy covenant. 10They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law; they shall put incense before thee when thou art angry, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thy altar. 11Bless, O LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; smite the loins of his adversaries, and of his enemies, that they rise not again.

12¶ And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety; and the LORD shall have compassion on him all the day long, and he shall dwell in his bosom. 13And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land and its fruit, with the dew of heaven from above, with the deep that couches beneath, 14With the fruit of the earth brought forth by the sun, with the products brought forth by the moon, 15With the best fruits of the eastern mountains, with the fruit of the eternal hills, 16With the precious things of the earth and the fulness thereof, and with the good will of him who dwelt in the bush; let blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the crown of the head of his brothers. 17His glory is like the firstlings of the bullocks, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns; with them he shall push the peoples together to the ends of the earth; and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

18¶ And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, O Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents. 19They shall call the people to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they shall suck of the abundance of the sea, and of the treasures which lie hidden in ships on the beaches. 20And of Gad he said, Blessed be he who enlarges Gad; he dwells like a lion, and tears the arm together with the head. 21And he provided the first part of the spoil for himself, out of which he set aside the portion of the lawgiver; he went out at the head of the people; he executed the justice of the LORD and his judgments with Israel.

22¶ And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp, who sucks milk from Mathnin. 23And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with abundance, and filled with the blessing of the LORD; he shall possess the west and the south. 24And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him have abundance of oil. 25Your shoes shall be iron and brass; and as to your days, so shall your strength be.

26¶ There is none like the God of Israel, who rides through the heaven to your help, and in his excellency on the sky. 27In the heaven of heavens is the dwelling of our God from everlasting, and below he creates men; and he shall destroy your enemies from before you; for he said, Destroy them. 28Israel then shall dwell in safety alone; the fountain of Jacob shall be in a land of grain and wine and oil; also the heavens shall drop down dew. 29Happy are you, O Israel: who is like you, a people whose salvation is sustained by the LORD, God is your help, and your pride is not in the sword; your enemies shall deal treacherously with you; but you shall tread upon their necks. (LAM)

5 Deuteronomy 33:1-29 1This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2He said, "The LORD came from Sinai, and dawned from Se'ir upon us; he shone forth from Mount Paran, he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire at his right hand. 3Yea, he loved his people; all those consecrated to him were in his hand; so they followed in thy steps, receiving direction from thee, 4when Moses commanded us a law, as a possession for the assembly of Jacob. 5Thus the LORD became king in Jesh'urun, when the heads of the people were gathered, all the tribes of Israel together.

6"Let Reuben live, and not die, nor let his men be few."

7And this he said of Judah: "Hear, O LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him in to his people. With thy hands contend for him, and be a help against his adversaries."

8And of Levi he said, "Give to Levi thy Thummim, and thy Urim to thy godly one, whom thou didst test at Massah, with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Mer'ibah; 9who said of his father and mother, `I regard them not'; he disowned his brothers, and ignored his children. For they observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. 10They shall teach Jacob thy ordinances, and Israel thy law; they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt offering upon thy altar. 11Bless, O LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; crush the loins of his adversaries, of those that hate him, that they rise not again."

12Of Benjamin he said, "The beloved of the LORD, he dwells in safety by him; he encompasses him all the day long, and makes his dwelling between his shoulders."

13And of Joseph he said, "Blessed by the LORD be his land, with the choicest gifts of heaven above, and of the deep that couches beneath, 14with the choicest fruits of the sun, and the rich yield of the months, 15with the finest produce of the ancient mountains, and the abundance of the everlasting hills, 16with the best gifts of the earth and its fulness, and the favor of him that dwelt in the bush. Let these come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the crown of the head of him that is prince among his brothers. 17His firstling bull has majesty, and his horns are the horns of a wild ox; with them he shall push the peoples, all of them, to the ends of the earth; such are the ten thousands of E'phraim, and such are the thousands of Manas'seh."

18And of Zeb'ulun he said, "Rejoice, Zeb'ulun, in your going out; and Is'sachar, in your tents. 19They shall call peoples to their mountain; there they offer right sacrifices; for they suck the affluence of the seas and the hidden treasures of the sand."

20And of Gad he said, "Blessed be he who enlarges Gad! Gad couches like a lion, he tears the arm, and the crown of the head. 21He chose the best of the land for himself, for there a commander's portion was reserved; and he came to the heads of the people, with Israel he executed the commands and just decrees of the LORD."

22And of Dan he said, "Dan is a lion's whelp, that leaps forth from Bashan."

23And of Naph'tali he said, "O Naph'tali, satisfied with favor, and full of the blessing of the LORD, possess the lake and the south."

24And of Asher he said, "Blessed above sons be Asher; let him be the favorite of his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil. 25Your bars shall be iron and bronze; and as your days, so shall your strength be. 26"There is none like God, O Jesh'urun, who rides through the heavens to your help, and in his majesty through the skies. 27The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you, and said, Destroy. 28So Israel dwelt in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone, in a land of grain and wine; yea, his heavens drop down dew. 29Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph! Your enemies shall come fawning to you; and you shall tread upon their high places."(RSV)

5 Deuteronomy 33:1-29 1This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the Israelites before his death. 2He said: "The LORD came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes. 3Surely it is you who love the people; all the holy ones are in your hand. At your feet they all bow down, and from you receive instruction, 4the law that Moses gave us, the possession of the assembly of Jacob. 5He was king over Jeshurun when the leaders of the people assembled, along with the tribes of Israel. 6"Let Reuben live and not die, nor his men be few."

7And this he said about Judah: "Hear, O LORD, the cry of Judah; bring him to his people. With his own hands he defends his cause. Oh, be his help against his foes!"

8About Levi he said: "Your Thummim and Urim belong to the man you favored. You tested him at Massah; you contended with him at the waters of Meribah. 9He said of his father and mother, `I have no regard for them.' He did not recognize his brothers or acknowledge his own children, but he watched over your word and guarded your covenant. 10He teaches your precepts to Jacob and your law to Israel. He offers incense before you and whole burnt offerings on your altar. 11Bless all his skills, O LORD, and be pleased with the work of his hands. Smite the loins of those who rise up against him; strike his foes till they rise no more."

12About Benjamin he said: "Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders."

13About Joseph he said: "May the LORD bless his land with the precious dew from heaven above and with the deep waters that lie below; 14with the best the sun brings forth and the finest the moon can yield; 15with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills; 16with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers. 17In majesty he is like a firstborn bull; his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even those at the ends of the earth. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim; such are the thousands of Manasseh."

18About Zebulun he said: "Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out, and you, Issachar, in your tents. 19They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer sacrifices of righteousness; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand."

20About Gad he said: "Blessed is he who enlarges Gad's domain! Gad lives there like a lion, tearing at arm or head. 21He chose the best land for himself; the leader's portion was kept for him. When the heads of the people assembled, he carried out the LORD's righteous will, and his judgments concerning Israel."

22About Dan he said: "Dan is a lion's cub, springing out of Bashan."

23About Naphtali he said: "Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the LORD and is full of his blessing; he will inherit southward to the lake."

24About Asher he said: "Most blessed of sons is Asher; let him be favored by his brothers, and let him bathe his feet in oil. 25The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days. 26"There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. 27The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, `Destroy him!' 28So Israel will live in safety alone; Jacob's spring is secure in a land of grain and new wine, where the heavens drop dew. 29Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will trample down their high places."(NIV)

5 Deuteronomy 33:1-29 1This is the blessing, with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2He said,

Yahweh came from Sinai,

Rose from Seir to them;

He shined forth from Mount Paran,

He came from the ten thousands of holy ones:

At his right hand was a fiery law for them.

3Yes, he loves the people;

All his saints are in your hand:

They sat down at your feet;

Everyone shall receive of your words.

4Moses commanded us a law,

An inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

5He was king in Jeshurun,

When the heads of the people were gathered,

All the tribes of Israel together.

6Let Reuben live, and not die;

Nor let his men be few.

7This is the blessing of Judah: and he said,

Hear, Yahwehf , the voice of Judah,

Bring him in to his people.

With his hands he contended for himself;

You shall be a help against his adversaries.

8Of Levi he said,

Your Thummim and your Urim are with your godly one,

Whom you did prove at Massah,

With whom you did strive at the waters of Meribah;

9Who said of his father, and of his mother, I have not seen him;

Neither did he acknowledge his brothers,

Nor knew he his own children:

For they have observed your word,

Keep your covenant.

10They shall teach Jacob your ordinances,

Israel your law:

They shall put incense before you,

Whole burnt offering on your altar.

11Bless, Yahwehf , his substance,

Accept the work of his hands:

Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him,

Of those who hate him, that they not rise again.

12Of Benjamin he said,

The beloved of Yahweh shall dwell in safety by him;

He covers him all the day long,

He dwells between his shoulders.

13Of Joseph he said,

Blessed of Yahweh be his land,

For the precious things of the heavens, for the dew,

For the deep that couches beneath,

14For the precious things of the fruits of the sun,

For the precious things of the growth of the moons,

15For the chief things of the ancient mountains,

For the precious things of the everlasting hills,

16For the precious things of the earth and the fullness of it,

The good will of him who lived in the bush.

Let the blessing come on the head of Joseph,

On the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.

17The firstborn of his herd, majesty is his;

His horns are the horns of the wild-ox:

With them he shall push the peoples all of them, even the ends of the earth:

They are the ten thousands of Ephraim,

They are the thousands of Manasseh.

18Of Zebulun he said,

Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out;

Issachar, in your tents.

19They shall call the peoples to the mountain;

There shall they offer sacrifices of righteousness:

For they shall suck the abundance of the seas,

The hidden treasures of the sand.

20Of Gad he said,

Blessed be he who enlarges Gad:

He dwells as a lioness,

Tears the arm, yes, the crown of the head.

21He provided the first part for himself,

For there was the lawgiver's portion reserved;

He came with the heads of the people;

He executed the righteousness of Yahweh,

His ordinances with Israel.

22Of Dan he said,

Dan is a lion's cub,

That leaps forth from Bashan.

23Of Naphtali he said,

Naphtali, satisfied with favor,

Full with the blessing of Yahweh,

Possess you the west and the south.

24Of Asher he said,

Blessed be Asher with children;

Let him be acceptable to his brothers,

Let him dip his foot in oil.

25Your bars shall be iron and brass;

As your days, so shall your strength be.

26There is none like God, Jeshurun,

Who rides on the heavens for your help,

In his excellency on the skies.

27The eternal God is your dwelling-place,

Underneath are the everlasting arms.

He thrust out the enemy from before you,

Said, Destroy.

28Israel dwells in safety,

The fountain of Jacob alone,

In a land of grain and new wine;

Yes, his heavens drop down dew.

29Happy are you, Israel:(WEB)

5 Deuteronomy 33:1-29 1AND this is the blessing, with which Moses the servant of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2And he said, Yahvah came from Sinai, and shined on us from Seir; he rose up from mount Paran; he came with 10,000s of saints at his right hand. 3Yes, he supplied their needs; he also made them to be beloved by the nations; he blessed all his saints; and they followed closely after his feet, each one receiving one of his words. 4Moses delivered to us a law, and he gave it as an inheritance to the congregation of Jacob. 5And there will be a king in Israel, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel are gathered together.

6Let Reuben live, and not die; and let his people be numerous. 7And this is the blessing of Judah: Hear, oh Yahvah, the voice of Judah, and bring him close to his people; let his hands contend for him, and you be a help to him from his oppressors.

8And of Levi he said, Let your consecration and your light be on the just one whom you proved in trials and whom you tested at the waters of Mesotha; 9Who said of his father and of his mother, I have not seen them; he did not recognize his brothers nor know his own children; for they have observed your word and kept your contract. 10They will teach Jacob your judgments, and Israel your law; they will put incense before you when you are angry, and whole burnt sacrifice on your altar. 11Bless, oh Yahvah, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; strike the loins of his adversaries, and of his enemies, that they do not rise again.

12And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of Yahvah will live in safety; and Yahvah will have compassion on him all day long, and he will live in his embrace. 13And of Joseph he said, Blessed of Yahvah be his land and its fruit, with the dew of heaven from above, with the deep that couches beneath, 14With the fruit of the earth brought forth by the sun, with the products brought forth by the moon, 15With the best fruits of the eastern mountains, with the fruit of the eternal hills, 16With the precious things of the earth and its fullness, and with the good will of him who lived in the bush; let blessing come on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of his brothers. 17His glory is like the firstlings of the bullocks, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns; with them he will push the peoples together to the ends of the earth; and they are the 10,000s of Ephraim, and they are the 1,000s of Manasseh.

18And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, oh Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents. 19They will call the people to the mountain; there they will offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they will suck of the abundance of the sea, and of the treasures which lie hidden in ships on the beaches. 20And of Gad he said, Blessed be he who enlarges Gad; he lives like a lion, and tears the arm together with the head. 21And he provided the first part of the spoil for himself, out of which he set aside the portion of the lawgiver; he went out at the head of the people; he executed the justice of Yahvah and his judgments with Israel.

22And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp, who sucks milk from Mathnin. 23And of Naphtali he said, Oh Naphtali, satisfied with abundance, and filled with the blessing of Yahvah; he will possess the west and the south. 24And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brothers, and let him have abundance of oil. 25Your shoes will be iron and brass; and like your days, so your strength will be.

26There is no one like the God of Israel, who rides through the heaven to your help, and in his excellency on the sky. 27In the heaven of heavens is the dwelling of our God from everlasting, and below he creates men; and he will destroy your enemies from before you; for he said, Destroy them. 28Israel then will live in safety alone; the fountain of Jacob will be in a land of grain and wine and oil; the heavens will also drop down dew. 29Happy are you, oh Israel; who is like you, a people whose salvation is sustained by Yahvah; God is your help, and your pride is not in the sword; your enemies will deal treacherously with you; but you will tread on their necks.
