Hebrews Replay 17 Nehemiah
50 First Corinthians 11:1-34
1Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
11Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
13Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
17Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
20When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lords supper.
21For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
22What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lords death till he come.
27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lords body.
30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
33Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
34And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.(KJV)

50 First Corinthians 11:1-34
1Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2Now I praise you that ye remember me in all things, and hold fast the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.
3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoreth his head.

8For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man:
9for neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man:
10for this cause ought the woman to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels.
11Nevertheless, neither is the woman without the man, nor the man without the woman, in the Lord.
12For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God.
13Judge ye in yourselves: is it seemly that a woman pray unto God unveiled?
14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16But if any man seemeth to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
17But in giving you this charge, I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better but for the worse.
18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and I partly believe it.
19For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you.

24and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord's death till he come.
27Wherefore whosoever shall eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
28But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.
29For he that eateth and drinketh, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, if he discern not the body.
30For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.

50 First Corinthians 11:1-34
1TAKE example by me, even as I also follow Christ.
2Now I praise you, my brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the ordinances as I delivered them to you.
3But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the wife is her husband; and the head of Christ is God.
4Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.
5And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head; for she is equal to her whose head is shaven.
6For if a woman does not cover her head, let her also cut off her hair; but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her cover her head.
7For a man indeed ought not cover his head, because he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of the man.
8For the man was not created from the woman; but the woman was created from the man.
9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10For this reason the woman ought to be modest and cover her head as a mark of respect to the angels.
11Nevertheless, in our Lord there is no preference between man and woman, neither between woman and man.
12For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
13Judge for yourselves; is it comely for a woman to pray to God with uncovered head?
14Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair, it is a disgrace to him?
15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given her for a covering.
16But if any man dispute these things, we have no precedent, neither has the church of God.
17¶ Now I give you these commands, not to praise you, for you have not made progress but have become worse.
18First of all, when you gather in the church, I hear that there are divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19For controversies are bound to be among you, that those who are approved may be made manifest among you.
20When you gather together therefore, you do not eat and drink as is appropriate on the day of our Lord.
21But some men eat their supper before others; and so it happens that one is hungry and another is drunken.
22Why? Have you not houses to eat and drink in? Or do you not respect the church of God, and want to shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? No, for this, I cannot praise you.
23¶ For I myself received from our Lord that which I also delivered to you, That our Lord Jesus on that very night in which he was betrayed took bread;
24And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, Take, eat; this is my body, which is broken for you; this do in remembrance of me.
25Likewise after supper, he gave also the cup and said, This cup is the new testament in my blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.
26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you commemorate our Lord's death until his coming.
27Therefore whosoever shall eat of the Lord's bread and drink of his cup unworthily shall be guilty of the blood and body of the Lord.
28For this reason, let a man examine himself and eat of this bread and drink of this cup.
29For he who eats and drinks unworthily eats and drinks to his condemnation; for he does not discern the Lord's body.
30This is the reason many are sick and weak among you, and many are dying.
31For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
32But when we are judged by our Lord, we are simply chastened, so that we may not be condemned with the world.
33Hereafter, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34And if any man hunger, let him eat at home so that you may not come together unto condemnation. As to the rest of the things I will instruct you when I come.

50 First Corinthians 11:1-34
1Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
2I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you.
3But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.
4Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head,
5but any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled dishonors her head--it is the same as if her head were shaven.
6For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil.
7For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.
8(For man was not made from woman, but woman from man.
9Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.)
10That is why a woman ought to have a veil on her head, because of the angels.
11(Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman;
12for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God.)
13Judge for yourselves; is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
14Does not nature itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is degrading to him,
15but if a woman has long hair, it is her pride? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
16If any one is disposed to be contentious, we recognize no other practice, nor do the churches of God.
17But in the following instructions I do not commend you, because when you come together it is not for the better but for the worse.
18For, in the first place, when you assemble as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you; and I partly believe it,
19for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.
20When you meet together, it is not the Lord's supper that you eat.
21For in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal, and one is hungry and another is drunk.
22What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, I will not.
23For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread,
24and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me."
25In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me."
26For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
27Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord.
28Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
29For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself.
30That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.
31But if we judged ourselves truly, we should not be judged.
32But when we are judged by the Lord, we are chastened so that we may not be condemned along with the world.
33So then, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another--
34if any one is hungry, let him eat at home--lest you come together to be condemned. About the other things I will give directions when I come.(RSV)
50 First Corinthians 11:1-34
1Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
2I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings, just as I passed them on to you.
3Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
4Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.
5And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head -- it is just as though her head were shaved.
6If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.
7A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
8For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;
9neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
10For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head.
11In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
12For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.
13Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
14Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,
15but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.
16If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice -- nor do the churches of God.
17In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good.
18In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it.
19No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval.
20When you come together, it is not the Lord's Supper you eat,
21for as you eat, each of you goes ahead without waiting for anybody else. One remains hungry, another gets drunk.
22Don't you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? Certainly not!
23For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
24and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."
25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
27Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
28A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.
29For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.
30That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
31But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment.
32When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
33So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other.
34If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment. And when I come I will give further directions.(NIV)

33Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait one for another.
34But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest your coming together be for judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.(WEB/HNV)
50 First Corinthians 11:1-34
1TAKE my example, even as I follow Messiah.
2Now I praise you, my brothers, that you remember me in all things and keep the ordinances as I delivered them to you.
3But I would have you know that the head of every man is Messiah; and the head of the wife is her husband; and the head of Messiah is God.
9The man was not created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10For this reason the woman ought to be modest and cover her head as a mark of respect to the angels.
11Nevertheless, in our Lord there is no preference between man and woman, neither between woman nor man.
12For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God.
13Judge for yourselves; is it pleasing for a woman to pray to God with uncovered head?
14Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair, it is a disgrace to him?
15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given her for a covering.
16But if any man dispute these things, we have no precedent, neither has the church of God.
17Now I give you these commands, not to praise you, for you have not made progress but have become worse.
18First of all, when you gather in the church, I hear that there are divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19For controversies are bound to be among you, that those who are approved may be made manifest among you.
20When you gather together therefore, you do not eat and drink as is appropriate on the day of our Lord.
21But some men eat their supper before others; and so it happens that one is hungry and another is drunk.
22Why? Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you not respect the church of God, and want to shame those who have nothing? What should I say to you? Should I praise you? No, for this, I cannot praise you.
23For I myself received from our Lord that which I also delivered to you, That our Lord Jesus on that very night in which he was betrayed took bread;
24And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, Take, eat; this is my body, which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of me.
25Likewise after supper, he also gave the cup and said, This cup is the new testament in my blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.
26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you commemorate our Lord's death until his coming.
27Therefore, whoever will eat of the Lord's bread and drink of his cup unworthily will be guilty of the blood and body of the Lord.
33Hereafter, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34And if any man hunger, let him eat at home so that you may not come together under condemnation. As for the rest of the things, I will instruct you when I come.
