Acts Replay 27 Job
43 Luke 24:1-53
1Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8And they remembered his words,
9And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
13And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
36And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43And he took it, and did eat before them.
44And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48And ye are witnesses of these things.
49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.(KJV)

43 Luke 24:1-53
1But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
2And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4And it came to pass, while they were perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel:

16But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17And he said unto them, What communications are these that ye have one with another, as ye walk? And they stood still, looking sad.
18And one of them, named Cleopas, answering said unto him, Dost thou alone sojourn in Jerusalem and not know the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
21But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel. Yea and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things came to pass.
22Moreover certain women of our company amazed us, having been early at the tomb;

30And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed; and breaking it he gave to them.
31And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?
33And they rose up that very hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35And they rehearsed the things that happened in the way, and how he was known of them in the breaking of the bread.
36And as they spake these things, he himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit.
38And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do questionings arise in your heart?
39See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having.
40And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat?
42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish.
43And he took it, and ate before them.
44And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.

50And he led them out until they were over against Bethany: and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.
52And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53and were continually in the temple, blessing God.(ASV)
43 Luke 24:1-53
1AND on the first day of the week, early in the morning, while it was yet dark, they came to the tomb and brought the spices which they had prepared; and there were with them other women.
2And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3And they entered in, but they did not find the body of Jesus.
4And it came to pass as they were confused about this, behold, two men stood above them, and their garments were shining;
5And they were afraid and bowed their faces to the ground; and they said to them, Why do you seek the living among the dead?
6He is not here, he has risen; remember that he spoke to you while he was in Galilee,
7Saying that the Son of man had to be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and rise again on the third day.
8And they remembered his words.
9And they returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven and to the rest.
10They we're Mary of Magdala, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the rest who were with them, who told these things to the apostles.
11And these words appeared in their eyes as delusions; and they did not believe them.
12But Simon rose up and ran to the tomb; and he looked in and saw the linen laid by itself, and he went away wondering in himself concerning what had happened.
13¶ And behold two of them were going on that day to a village called Emmaus, about six miles from Jerusalem.
14They were talking with each other concerning all these things that had happened.
15And while they were speaking and asking each other, Jesus came and overtook them and walked with them.
16But the sight of their eyes was blurred so that they could not recognize him.
17And he said to them, What are these words that you are discussing with each other, as you walk and are sad?
18One of them, named Cleopah, answered, saying to him, Are you alone a stranger from Jerusalem, that you do not know what has happened in it in these days?
19He said to them, What things? They said to him, About Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet, mighty in word and deed before God and before all the people.
20And the high priests and the elders delivered him up to the judgment of death, and they crucified him.
21But we were hoping that he was the one to save Israel; and behold, it is three days since all these things happened.
22And some of our women also amazed us, for they went early to the tomb;
23And when his body was not found, they came, and said to us, We saw angels there, and they said that he is alive.
24And some of our men also went to the tomb, and they found it as the women had said; but they did not see him.
25Then Jesus said to them, O dull-minded heavy-hearted, slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken;
26Did not Christ have to suffer all these things in order to enter into his glory?
27And he began from Moses and from all the prophets, and interpreted to them from all the scriptures concerning himself.
28And they drew near to the village to which they were going; and he made them think that he was going to a far place.
29But they urged him and said, Remain with us; for the day is spent and it is near dark. So he entered to stay with them.
30And it came to pass, as he sat at table with them, he took bread and blessed it and broke it and gave it to them.
31And immediately their eyes were opened and they recognized him; and he was taken away from them.
32And they said one to another, Were not our minds dull within us when he spoke with us on the road and interpreted the scriptures to us?
33And they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,
34Saying, Truly our Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.
35And they also reported those things that happened on the road, and how they knew him as he broke bread.
36¶ And while they were discussing these things, Jesus stood among them, and said to them, Peace be with you; it is I; do not be afraid.
37And they were confused and frightened, for they thought they saw a spirit.
38Jesus said to them, Why do you tremble? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I; feel me and understand; for a spirit has no flesh and bones, as you see I have.
40When he said these things, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41And as they still did not believe because of their joy, and they were bewildered, he said to them, Have you anything here to eat?
42They gave him a portion of a broiled fish and of a honeycomb.
43And he took it and ate before their eyes.
44And he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you when I was with you, that everything must be fulfilled which is written in the law of Moses and in the prophets and in the psalms, concerning me.
45Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures.
46And he said to them, Thus it is written, and it was right, that Christ should suffer and rise from the dead on the third day;
47And that repentance should be preached in his name for the forgiveness of sins among all nations; and the beginning will be from Jerusalem.
48You are witnesses of these things.
49And I will send upon you the promise of my Father; but remain in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.
50¶ And he took them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
51And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them and went up to heaven.
52And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy;
53And they were always in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

43 Luke 24:1-53
1On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.
2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.
5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?
6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:
7`The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'"
8Then they remembered his words.
9When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.
10It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles.
11But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.
12Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
13Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.
14They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.
15As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them;
16but they were kept from recognizing him.
17He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?" They stood still, their faces downcast.
18One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these days?"
19"What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.
20The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him;
21but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place.
22In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning
23but didn't find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive.
24Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see."
25He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
26Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?"
27And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
28As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther.
29But they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them.
30When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them.
31Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.
32They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"
33They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together
34and saying, "It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon."
35Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.
36While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
37They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.
38He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?
39Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."
40When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.
41And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?"
42They gave him a piece of broiled fish,
43and he took it and ate it in their presence.
44He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."
45Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
46He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,
47and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48You are witnesses of these things.
49I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."
50When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
51While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.
52Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
53And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.(NIV)
43 Luke 24:1-53
1But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3They entered in, and didn't find the Lord Jesus' body.
4It happened, while they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling clothing.
5Becoming terrified, they bowed their faces down to the earth. They said to them, 'Why do youP seek the living among the dead?
6He isn't here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee,
7saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again?'
8They remembered his words,

10Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.
11These words seemed to them to be nonsense, and they didn't believe them.
12But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. Stooping and looking in, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he departed to his home, wondering what had happened.
13Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia from Jerusalem.

43 Luke 24:1-53
1AND on the 1st day of the week, early in the morning, while it was yet dark, they came to the tomb and brought the spices which they had prepared; and there were with them other women.
2And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3And they entered in, but they did not find the body of Jesus.
4And it came to pass as they were confused about this, look, 2 men stood above them, and their garments were shining;
5And they were afraid and bowed their faces to the ground; and they said to them, Why do you seek the living among the dead?
6He is not here, he has risen; remember that he spoke to you while he was in Galilee,
7Saying that the Son of man had to be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and rise again on the 3rd day.
8And they remembered his words.
9And they returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the 11 and to the rest.
10They were Mary Magdala, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of Jacob, and the rest who were with them, who told these things to the apostles.
11And these words appeared in their eyes as delusions; and they did not believe them.
12But Simon rose up and ran to the tomb; and he looked in and saw the linen laid by itself, and he went away wondering to himself about what had happened.
13And look 2 of them were going on that day to a village called Emmaus, 60 furlongs from Jerusalem.
21But we were hoping that he was the one to save Israel; and look, it is 3 days since all these things happened.
22And some of our women also amazed us, for they went early to the tomb;
23And when his body was not found, they came, and said to us, We saw angels there, and they said that he is alive.
24And some of our men also went to the tomb, and they found it as the women had said; but they did not see him.
25Then Jesus said to them, Oh dull-minded heavy-hearted, slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken;
26Did not Messiah have to suffer all these things in order to enter into his glory?
27And he began from Moses and from all the prophets, and interpreted to them from all the scriptures concerning himself.
28And they drew near to the village to which they were going; and he made them think that he was going to a far place.
29But they urged him and said, Remain with us; for the day is spent and it is near dark. So he entered to stay with them.
30And it came to pass, as he sat at the table with them, he took bread and blessed it and broke it and gave it to them.
31And immediately their eyes were opened and they recognized him; and he was taken away from them.
32And they said to one another, Were not our minds dull inside us when he spoke with us on the road and interpreted the scriptures to us?
33And they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the 11 gathered together, and those who were with them,
34Saying, Truly our Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.
35And they also reported those things that happened on the road, and how they knew him as he broke bread.
36And while they were discussing these things, Jesus stood among them, and said to them, Peace be with you; it is I; do not be afraid.
37And they were confused and frightened, for they thought they saw a spirit.
38Jesus said to them, Why do you tremble? Why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I; feel me and understand; for a spirit has no flesh and bones, as you see I have.
40When he said these things, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41And as they still did not believe because of their joy and bewilderment, he said to them, Do you have anything here to eat?
42They gave him a portion of a broiled fish and of a honeycomb.
43And he took it and ate before their eyes.
44And he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you when I was with you, that everything must be fulfilled which is written in the law of Moses and in the prophets and in the psalms, concerning me.
45Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures.
