Acts Replay 6 Joshua
43 Luke 3:1-37
  1Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
2Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
6And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
15And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
17Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philips wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
21Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
23And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
24Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,
25Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge,

35Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala,

43 Luke 3:1-37
  1IN the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, during the governorship of Pontius Pilate in Judea, when Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanius tetrarch of Abilene,
2During the high priesthood of Hanan and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John, son of Zechariah, in the wilderness.
3And he went throughout the country around Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins;
4As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice which calls in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make the paths of our God straight in the plain.
5Let all the valleys be filled up, and all the mountains and hills be leveled; let the crooked places be made straight, and the rough places like a plain;
6And let all flesh see the salvation of God.
7And he said to the people who were coming to him to be baptized, O offspring of scorpions, who has warned you to escape from the anger which is coming?
8Therefore bring forth fruits which are worthy of repentance; and do not begin to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father; for I say to you that God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones.
9Behold, the axe is already placed at the root of the trees; therefore every tree which bears not good fruits will be cut down and cast into the fire.
10And the people asked him, saying, What then shall we do?
11He answered, saying to them, He who has two shirts, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.
12And there came also tax collectors to be baptized, and they said to him, Teacher, what shall we do?
13He said to them, Do not exact anything more than what is commanded you to exact.
14And the soldiers also asked him saying, What shall we do? And he said to them, Do not molest any man, and do not accuse any man; your own wages should be enough for you.
15¶ While the people were placing their hope on John, and all of them were thinking in their hearts, Perhaps he is the Christ;
16John answered, saying to them, Behold, I baptize you with water; but one is coming after me, who is greater than I, the strings of whose shoes I am not worthy to untie; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire;
17He holds a shovel in his hand, and purifies his threshing; the wheat he gathers into his barns, and the straw he burns in the unquenchable fire.
18Many other things also, he taught and preached to the people.
19Now Herod the tetrarch, because he was rebuked by John concerning Herodias wife of Philip his brother, and for all the evil things that he was doing,
20Added this also to them all, that he put John into prison.
21¶ It came to pass when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized, and while he prayed, heaven was opened,
22And the Holy Spirit descended on him, like a dove, and a voice from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son; with you I am pleased.
23Now Jesus was about thirty years old, and he was supposed to be the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,
24The son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph,
25The son of Matthat, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Hasli, the son of Naggai,
26The son of Maath, the son of Mattath, the son of Shemei, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah,
27The son of John, the son of Rheasa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shelahiel, the son of Neri,
28The son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Kosam, the son of Elmodad, the son of Er,
29The son of Jose, the son of Eliezer, the son of Joram, the son of Mattitha, the son of Levi,
30The son of Simon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim,
31The son of Melea, the son of Mani, the son of Mattha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,
32The son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon,
33The son of Aminadab, the son of Aram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah,
34The son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,
35The son of Serug, the son of Arau, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shalah,

43 Luke 3:1-37
  1In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiber'i-us Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Iturae'a and Trachoni'tis, and Lysa'ni-as tetrarch of Abile'ne,
2in the high-priesthood of Annas and Ca'iaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechari'ah in the wilderness;
3and he went into all the region about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
4As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
6and all flesh shall see the salvation of God."
7He said therefore to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8Bear fruits that befit repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, `We have Abraham as our father'; for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
9Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire."
10And the multitudes asked him, "What then shall we do?"
11And he answered them, "He who has two coats, let him share with him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise."
12Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, "Teacher, what shall we do?"
13And he said to them, "Collect no more than is appointed you."
14Soldiers also asked him, "And we, what shall we do?" And he said to them, "Rob no one by violence or by false accusation, and be content with your wages."
15As the people were in expectation, and all men questioned in their hearts concerning John, whether perhaps he were the Christ,
16John answered them all, "I baptize you with water; but he who is mightier than I is coming, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
17His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor, and to gather the wheat into his granary, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire."
18So, with many other exhortations, he preached good news to the people.
19But Herod the tetrarch, who had been reproved by him for Hero'di-as, his brother's wife, and for all the evil things that Herod had done,
20added this to them all, that he shut up John in prison.
21Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened,
22and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form, as a dove, and a voice came from heaven, "Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased."
23Jesus, when he began his ministry, was about thirty years of age, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli,
24the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jan'na-i, the son of Joseph,

43 Luke 3:1-37
  1In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar -- when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, Herod tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and Traconitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene --
2during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the desert.
3He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
4As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: "A voice of one calling in the desert, `Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.
5Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth.
6And all mankind will see God's salvation.'"
7John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, `We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
9The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."
10"What should we do then?" the crowd asked.
11John answered, "The man with two tunics should share with him who has none, and the one who has food should do the same."
12Tax collectors also came to be baptized. "Teacher," they asked, "what should we do?"
13"Don't collect any more than you are required to," he told them.
14Then some soldiers asked him, "And what should we do?" He replied, "Don't extort money and don't accuse people falsely -- be content with your pay."
15The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Christ.
16John answered them all, "I baptize you with water. But one more powerful than I will come, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
17His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
18And with many other words John exhorted the people and preached the good news to them.
19But when John rebuked Herod the tetrarch because of Herodias, his brother's wife, and all the other evil things he had done,
20Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.
21When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened
22and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."
23Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli,
24the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melki, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph,
25the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,
26the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semein, the son of Josech, the son of Joda,
27the son of Joanan, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,
28the son of Melki, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmadam, the son of Er,
29the son of Joshua, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi,
30the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim,
31the son of Melea, the son of Menna, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,
32the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon,
33the son of Amminadab, the son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah,
34the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,
35the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shelah,
36the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,

2in the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John, the son of Zacharias, in the wilderness.
3He came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
4As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, 'The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'MakeP ready the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight.
5Every valley will be filled. Every mountain and hill will be brought low. The crooked will become straight, And the rough ways smooth.
6All flesh will see God's salvation.''
7He said therefore to the multitudes who went out to be baptized by him, 'YouP offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and don't begin to say among yourselves, 'We have Abraham for our father;' for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones!
9Even now the axe also lies at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that doesn't bring forth good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.'
10The multitudes asked him, 'What then must we do?'
11He answered them, 'He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.'
12Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, 'Teacher, what must we do?'
13He said to them, 'Collect no more than that which is appointed to you.'
14Soldiers also asked him, saying, 'What about us? What must we do?' He said to them, 'Extort from no one by violence, neither accuse anyone wrongfully. Be content with your wages.'
15As the people were in expectation, and all men reasoned in their hearts concerning John, whether perhaps he was the Christ,
16John answered them all, 'I indeed baptize you with water, but he comes who is mightier than I, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to loosen. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,
17whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor, and will gather the wheat into his barn; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.'
18Then with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people,
19but Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias, his brother's wife, and for all the evil things which Herod had done,
20added this also to them all, that he shut up John in prison.
21Now it happened, when all the people were baptized, Jesus also had been baptized, and was praying. The sky was opened,
22and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form as a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying 'You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased.'
23Jesus himself, when he began to teach, was about thirty years old, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli,
24the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph,
25the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,
26the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semein, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah,
27the son of Joanan, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,
28the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er,
29the son of Josa, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi,
30the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim,
31the son of Melea, the son of Menan, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,
32the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon,
33the son of Amminadab, the son of Aram, the son of Joram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah,
34the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,
35the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shelah
36the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,
37the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan,

43 Luke 3:1-37
  1IN the 15th year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, during the governorship of Pontius Pilate in Judea, when Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanius tetrarch of Abilene,
2During the high priesthood of Hanan and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John, son of Zechariah, in the wilderness.
3And he went throughout the country around Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins;
4As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice which calls in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make the paths of our God straight in the plain.
5Let all the valleys be filled up, and all the mountains and hills be leveled; let the crooked places be made straight, and the rough places like a plain;
6And let all flesh see the salvation of God.
7And he said to the people who were coming to him to be baptized, Oh offspring of scorpions, who has warned you to escape from the anger which is coming?
8Therefore, bring forth fruits which are worthy of repentance; and do not begin to say inside yourselves, We have Abraham as our father; for I say to you that God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones.
9Look, the axe is already placed at the root of the trees; therefore every tree which does not bear good fruits will be cut down and cast into the fire.
10And the people asked him, saying, What then will we do?
11He answered, saying to them, He who has 2 shirts, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.
12And tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, Teacher, what will we do?
13He said to them, Do not exact anything more than what is commanded you to exact.
14And the soldiers also asked him saying, What will we do? And he said to them, Do not molest any man, and do not accuse any man; your own wages should be enough for you.
15While the people were placing their hope on John, and all of them were thinking in their hearts, Perhaps he is the Messiah;
16John answered, saying to them, Look, I baptize you with water; but one is coming after me, who is greater than I, the strings of whose shoes I am not worthy to untie; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire;
17He holds a shovel in his hand, and purifies his threshing; the wheat he gathers into his barns, and the straw he burns in the unquenchable fire.
18Many other things he also taught and preached to the people.
19Now Herod the tetrarch, because he was rebuked by John concerning Herodias wife of Philip his brother, and for all the evil things that he was doing,
20Added this to them all, he also put John into prison.
21It came to pass when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while he prayed, heaven was opened,
22And the Holy Spirit descended on him, like a dove, and a voice from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son; with you I am pleased.
23Now Jesus was about 30 years old, and he was supposed to be the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,
24The son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph,
25The son of Matthat, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Hasli, the son of Naggai,
26The son of Maath, the son of Mattath, the son of Shemei, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah,
27The son of John, the son of Rheasa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shelahiel, the son of Neri,
28The son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Kosam, the son of Elmodad, the son of Er,
29The son of Jose, the son of Eliezer, the son of Joram, the son of Mattitha, the son of Levi,
30The son of Simon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim,
31The son of Melea, the son of Mani, the son of Mattha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,
32The son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon,
33The son of Aminadab, the son of Aram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah,
34The son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,
35The son of Serug, the son of Arau, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shalah,
36The son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxar, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,
37The son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalael, the son of Cainan,
