6Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the LORD God of Israel. 7And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God: 8But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. 9Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days. 10He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. 11Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee. 12Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God. 13Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed. 14Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. 15Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work. 16Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee. 17David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying, 18Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people. 19Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.(KJV) 37 First Chronicles 22:1-19

6Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for Jehovah, the God of Israel. 7And David said to Solomon his son, As for me, it was in my heart to build a house unto the name of Jehovah my God. 8But the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build a house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. 9Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days: 10he shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. 11Now, my son, Jehovah be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of Jehovah thy God, as he hath spoken concerning thee. 12Only Jehovah give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel; that so thou mayest keep the law of Jehovah thy God. 13Then shalt thou prosper, if thou observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Jehovah charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; fear not, neither be dismayed. 14Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Jehovah a hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver, and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. 15Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all men that are skilful in every manner of work: 16of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and Jehovah be with thee. 17David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying, 18Is not Jehovah your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Jehovah, and before his people. 19Now set your heart and your soul to seek after Jehovah your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of Jehovah God, to bring the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Jehovah.(ASV) 37 First Chronicles 22:1-19
6¶ Then he called for Solomon his son and said to him, 7You shall build a house for the LORD God of Israel; 8For he has sent to me by a prophet, saying, You have shed blood abundantly and have made great wars; you shall not build a house to my name because you have shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. 9Behold. a son shall be born to you who shall be a man of peace; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Solomon, and there shall be peace and quietness to Israel in his days. 10He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be to me like a son, and I will be to him like a father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. 11Now, my son, the LORD be with you, so that you may prosper, and build the house of the LORD your God, as he has said to me. 12Only may the LORD give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the LORD your God, just as he has commanded you. 13Then you shall prosper if you take heed to observe these commandments and the statutes and judgments just as the LORD charged Moses to teach Israel, then you will be strong and of good courage; fear not, nor be dismayed. 14Now, behold, I have prepared for you everything necessary for the building of the house of the LORD. I have prepared for you a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver; and brass and iron without weight; no man knows its weight, for it is in abundance; timber also and stones I have prepared; and you may add thereto. 15Moreover there are workers with you in abundance, stonecutters, masons, and carpenters, 16Cunning men for every manner of work; of gold, silver, brass, and iron in abundance. Be strong therefore and be doing, and the LORD will help you. 17¶ David also commanded all the elders of Israel, saying, You must help Solomon my son. 18For behold, the LORD your God is with you; and he will help you and relieve you on every side. Behold he has delivered all the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and the land is subdued before the LORD and before his people. 19Now set your heart and your soul to pray before the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of the LORD God, and bring there the ark in which is the covenant of the LORD our God, and the holy vessels of the LORD our God; and build the house because of his great name by which we are known. (LAM) 37 First Chronicles 22:1-19
2David commanded to gather together the aliens who were in the land of Israel, and he set stonecutters to prepare dressed stones for building the house of God. 3David also provided great stores of iron for nails for the doors of the gates and for clamps, as well as bronze in quantities beyond weighing, 4and cedar timbers without number; for the Sido'nians and Tyrians brought great quantities of cedar to David. 5For David said, "Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and glory throughout all lands; I will therefore make preparation for it." So David provided materials in great quantity before his death. 6Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for the LORD, the God of Israel. 7David said to Solomon, "My son, I had it in my heart to build a house to the name of the LORD my God. 8But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, `You have shed much blood and have waged great wars; you shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed so much blood before me upon the earth. 9Behold, a son shall be born to you; he shall be a man of peace. I will give him peace from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days. 10He shall build a house for my name. He shall be my son, and I will be his father, and I will establish his royal throne in Israel for ever.' 11Now, my son, the LORD be with you, so that you may succeed in building the house of the LORD your God, as he has spoken concerning you. 12Only, may the LORD grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the LORD your God. 13Then you will prosper if you are careful to observe the statutes and the ordinances which the LORD commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong, and of good courage. Fear not; be not dismayed. 14With great pains I have provided for the house of the LORD a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond weighing, for there is so much of it; timber and stone too I have provided. To these you must add. 15You have an abundance of workmen: stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and all kinds of craftsmen without number, skilled in working 16gold, silver, bronze, and iron. Arise and be doing! The LORD be with you!" 17David also commanded all the leaders of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying, 18"Is not the LORD your God with you? And has he not given you peace on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD and his people. 19Now set your mind and heart to seek the LORD your God. Arise and build the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the holy vessels of God may be brought into a house built for the name of the LORD."(RSV) 37 First Chronicles 22:1-19
2So David gave orders to assemble the aliens living in Israel, and from among them he appointed stonecutters to prepare dressed stone for building the house of God. 3He provided a large amount of iron to make nails for the doors of the gateways and for the fittings, and more bronze than could be weighed. 4He also provided more cedar logs than could be counted, for the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought large numbers of them to David. 5David said, "My son Solomon is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the LORD should be of great magnificence and fame and splendor in the sight of all the nations. Therefore I will make preparations for it." So David made extensive preparations before his death. 6Then he called for his son Solomon and charged him to build a house for the LORD, the God of Israel. 7David said to Solomon: "My son, I had it in my heart to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God. 8But this word of the LORD came to me: `You have shed much blood and have fought many wars. You are not to build a house for my Name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight. 9But you will have a son who will be a man of peace and rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. His name will be Solomon, and I will grant Israel peace and quiet during his reign. 10He is the one who will build a house for my Name. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.' 11"Now, my son, the LORD be with you, and may you have success and build the house of the LORD your God, as he said you would. 12May the LORD give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God. 13Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the LORD gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. 14"I have taken great pains to provide for the temple of the LORD a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver, quantities of bronze and iron too great to be weighed, and wood and stone. And you may add to them. 15You have many workmen: stonecutters, masons and carpenters, as well as men skilled in every kind of work 16in gold and silver, bronze and iron -- craftsmen beyond number. Now begin the work, and the LORD be with you." 17Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon. 18He said to them, "Is not the LORD your God with you? And has he not granted you rest on every side? For he has handed the inhabitants of the land over to me, and the land is subject to the LORD and to his people. 19Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the LORD your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the LORD."(NIV) 37 First Chronicles 22:1-19

37 First Chronicles 22:1-19
6Then he called for Solomon his son and said to him, 7You will build a house for Yahvah God of Israel; 8For he has sent to me by a prophet, saying, You have shed blood abundantly and have made great wars; you will not build a house to my name because you have shed great quantities of blood on the earth in my sight. 9Look, a son will be born to you who will be a man of peace; and I will give him rest from all his enemies around; for his name will be Solomon, and there will be peace and quietness to Israel in his days. 10He will build a house for my name; and he will be to me like a son, and I will be to him like a father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever. 11Now, my son, Yahvah be with you, so that you may prosper, and build the house of Yahvah your God, as he has said to me. 12Only may Yahvah give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of Yahvah your God, just as he has commanded you. 13Then you will prosper if you are careful to observe these commandments and the statutes and judgments just as Yahvah charged Moses to teach Israel, then you will be strong and of good courage; do not fear, nor be dismayed. 14Now, look, I have prepared for you everything necessary for the building of the house of Yahvah. I have prepared for you 100,000 talents of gold, 1,000,000 talents of silver; and brass and iron without weight; no man knows its weight, for it is in abundance; also timber and stones I have prepared; and you may add to it. 15Moreover, there are workers with you in abundance, stonecutters, masons, and carpenters, 16Cunning men for every manner of work; of gold, silver, brass, and iron in abundance. Be strong therefore and be doing, and Yahvah will help you. 17David also commanded all the elders of Israel, saying, You must help Solomon my son. 18For look, Yahvah your God is with you; and he will help you and relieve you on every side. Look he has delivered all the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and the land is subdued before Yahvah and before his people. 19Now set your heart and your soul to pray before Yahvah your God; arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahvah God, and bring there the ark in which is the contract of Yahvah our God, and the holy vessels of Yahvah our God; and build the house because of his great name by which we are known.
