31 Song of Solomon 2:1-17 1I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. 2As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. 3As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. 4He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. 5Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. 6His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me. 7I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.

8The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. 9My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice. 10My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. 11For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; 12The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; 13The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

14O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. 15Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.

16My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies. 17Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.(KJV)

31 Song of Solomon 2:1-17 1I am a rose of Sharon,

A lily of the valleys.

2As a lily among thorns,

So is my love among the daughters.

3As the apple-tree among the trees of the wood,

So is my beloved among the sons.

I sat down under his shadow with great delight,

And his fruit was sweet to my taste.

4He brought me to the banqueting-house,

And his banner over me was love.

5Stay ye me with raisins, refresh me with apples;

For I am sick from love.

6His left hand is under my head,

And his right hand doth embrace me.

7I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem,

By the roes, or by the hinds of the field,

That ye stir not up, nor awake my love,

Until he please.

8The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh,

Leaping upon the mountains,

Skipping upon the hills.

9My beloved is like a roe or a young hart:

Behold, he standeth behind our wall;

He looketh in at the windows;

He glanceth through the lattice.

10My beloved spake, and said unto me,

Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

11For, lo, the winter is past;

The rain is over and gone;

12The flowers appear on the earth;

The time of the singing of birds is come,

And the voice of the turtle-dove is heard in our land;

13The fig-tree ripeneth her green figs,

And the vines are in blossom;

They give forth their fragrance.

Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

14O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock,

In the covert of the steep place,

Let me see thy countenance,

Let me hear thy voice;

For sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

15Take us the foxes, the little foxes,

That spoil the vineyards;

For our vineyards are in blossom.

16My beloved is mine, and I am his:

He feedeth his flock among the lilies.

17Until the day be cool, and the shadows flee away,(ASV)

31 Song of Solomon 2:1-17 1I AM like the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valley. 2Like the lilies among thorns, so is my beloved among the daughters.

3¶ Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. 4He brought me to the banqueting house, and assigned as my portion love. 5Sustain me with delicacies, surround me with apples; for I am sick for love. 6His left hand is under my head, and his right hand embraces me. 7I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles, or by young roes of the field, that you stir not up, nor awake my love until it please.

8¶ The voice of my beloved! behold, he comes leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. 9My beloved is like a gazelle or a young roe; behold, he stands behind our wall, he looks through the windows, bending himself over the lattice. 10My beloved spoke and said to me, Rise up, my love, my beautiful one, and come away. 11For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; 12The flowers appear on the earth; the time of pruning has come, and the voice of the turtle dove is heard in our land; 13The fig tree puts forth its green figs, and the vines with tender shoots give fragrance. Arise, my beloved, my beautiful one, and come away.

14¶ O my dove, who nests in the clefts of the rock and in the secret places of the hedge, let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice; for sweet is your voice, and your countenance is comely. 15Let us catch the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vines have tender shoots. 16My beloved is mine, and I am his; he feeds among the lilies. 17Until the day cools and the shadows flee away, turn my beloved and be like a gazelle or a young hart upon the fragrant mountains. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. 14O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the covert of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is comely. 15Catch us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom." 16My beloved is mine and I am his, he pastures his flock among the lilies. 17Until the day breathes and the shadows flee, turn, my beloved, be like a gazelle, or a young stag upon rugged mountains. 31 Song of Solomon 2:1-17 1I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys. 2Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the maidens. 3Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my lover among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste. 4He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love. 5Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love. 6His left arm is under my head, and his right arm embraces me. 7Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires. 8Listen! My lover! Look! Here he comes, leaping across the mountains, bounding over the hills. 9My lover is like a gazelle or a young stag. Look! There he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice. 10My lover spoke and said to me, "Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me. 11See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. 12Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. 13The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me." 14My dove in the clefts of the rock, in the hiding places on the mountainside, show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely. 15Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom. 16My lover is mine and I am his; he browses among the lilies. 17Until the day breaks and the shadows flee, turn, my lover, and be like a gazelle or like a young stag on the rugged hills.(NIV)
