26 Psalms 41:1-13 1Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

2The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

3The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

4I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

5Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

6And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

7All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

8An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

9Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

10But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.(KJV)

26 Psalms 41:1-13 1Blessed is he that considereth the poor:

Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.

2Jehovah will preserve him, and keep him alive,

And he shall be blessed upon the earth;

And deliver not thou him unto the will of his enemies.

3Jehovah will support him upon the couch of languishing:

Thou makest all his bed in his sickness.

4I said, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me:

Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

5Mine enemies speak evil against me, saying,

When will he die, and his name perish?

6And if he come to see me, he speaketh falsehood;

His heart gathereth iniquity to itself:

When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

7All that hate me whisper together against me;

Against me do they devise my hurt.

8An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him;

And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

9Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,

Who did eat of my bread,

Hath lifted up his heel against me.

10But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up,

That I may requite them.

11By this I know that thou delightest in me,

Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity,

And settest me before thy face for ever.

13Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel,(ASV)

26 Psalms 41:1-13 1BLESSED is he who looks after the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. 2The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, and he shall bless him upon the earth; he will not deliver him into the hands of his enemies. 3The LORD will strengthen him upon his sick bed; he will wholly recover from his illness. 4I have said, Thou art my LORD, be merciful unto me and heal my soul, for I have sinned against thee.

5¶ Mine enemies speak evil of me: When shall he die, and his name perish? 6When they come to see me, they speak falsely and their hearts devise evil; they go out into the street and gossip about me. 7All that hate me whisper together about me; they devise evil against me. 8They conceive unjust accusations against me; they say, Now that he lies sick in his bed, he shall rise up no more. 9Yea, even the man who visits me, in whom I trust, who eats my bread and whom I trust, betrays me. 10But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me and heal me, that I may repay them. 11By this I know that thou art pleased with me, because mine enemy doth not irk me. 12And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever. 13Blessed is the LORD God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting! Amen and Amen. (LAM)

26 Psalms 41:1-13 1To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. 2Blessed is he who considers the poor! The LORD delivers him in the day of trouble; 3the LORD protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land; thou dost not give him up to the will of his enemies. 4The LORD sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness thou healest all his infirmities. 5As for me, I said, "O LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against thee!" 6My enemies say of me in malice: "When will he die, and his name perish?" 7And when one comes to see me, he utters empty words, while his heart gathers mischief; when he goes out, he tells it abroad. 8All who hate me whisper together about me; they imagine the worst for me. 9They say, "A deadly thing has fastened upon him; he will not rise again from where he lies." 10Even my bosom friend in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted his heel against me. 11But do thou, O LORD, be gracious to me, and raise me up, that I may requite them! 12By this I know that thou art pleased with me, in that my enemy has not triumphed over me. 13But thou hast upheld me because of my integrity, and set me in thy presence for ever. [ (Psalms 41:14) Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen. ] (RSV)

26 Psalms 41:1-13 1Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;
the LORD delivers him in times of trouble.

2The LORD will protect him and preserve his life;
he will bless him in the land
and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.

3The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed
and restore him from his bed of illness.

4I said, "O LORD, have mercy on me;
heal me, for I have sinned against you."

5My enemies say of me in malice,
"When will he die and his name perish?"

6Whenever one comes to see me,
he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander;
then he goes out and spreads it abroad.

7All my enemies whisper together against me;
they imagine the worst for me, saying,

8"A vile disease has beset him;
he will never get up from the place where he lies."

9Even my close friend, whom I trusted,
he who shared my bread,
has lifted up his heel against me.

10But you, O LORD, have mercy on me;
raise me up, that I may repay them.

11I know that you are pleased with me,
for my enemy does not triumph over me.

12In my integrity you uphold me
and set me in your presence forever.

13Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.(NIV)
