26 Psalms 37:1-40 ¹לְדָוִ֨ד׀ אַל־ תִּתְחַ֥ר בַּמְּרֵעִ֑ים אַל־ תְּ֝קַנֵּ֗א בְּעֹשֵׂ֥י עַוְלָֽה׃ ²כִּ֣י כֶ֭חָצִיר מְהֵרָ֣ה יִמָּ֑לוּ וּכְיֶ֥רֶק דֶּ֝֗שֶׁא יִבּוֹלֽוּן׃ ³בְּטַ֣ח בַּֽ֭יהוָה וַעֲשֵׂה־ ט֑וֹב שְׁכָן־ אֶ֝֗רֶץ וּרְעֵ֥ה אֱמוּנָֽה׃ ⁴וְהִתְעַנַּ֥ג עַל־ יְהוָ֑ה וְיִֽתֶּן־ לְ֝ךָ֗ מִשְׁאֲלֹ֥ת לִבֶּֽךָ׃ ⁵גּ֣וֹל עַל־ יְהוָ֣ה דַּרְכֶּ֑ךָ וּבְטַ֥ח עָ֝לָ֗יו וְה֣וּא יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ ⁶וְהוֹצִ֣יא כָא֣וֹר צִדְקֶ֑ךָ וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטֶ֗ךָ כַּֽצָּהֳרָֽיִם׃ ⁷דּ֤וֹם׀ לַיהוָה֮ וְהִתְח֪וֹלֵ֫ל ל֥וֹ אַל־ תִּ֭תְחַר בְּמַצְלִ֣יחַ דַּרְכּ֑וֹ בְּ֝אִ֗ישׁ עֹשֶׂ֥ה מְזִמּֽוֹת׃ ⁸הֶ֣רֶף מֵ֭אַף וַעֲזֹ֣ב חֵמָ֑ה אַל־ תִּ֝תְחַ֗ר אַךְ־ לְהָרֵֽעַ׃ ⁹כִּֽי־ מְ֭רֵעִים יִכָּרֵת֑וּן וְקוֵֹ֥י יְ֝הוָ֗ה הֵ֣מָּה יִֽירְשׁוּ־ אָֽרֶץ׃ ¹⁰וְע֣וֹד מְ֭עַט וְאֵ֣ין רָשָׁ֑ע וְהִתְבּוֹנַ֖נְתָּ עַל־ מְקוֹמ֣וֹ וְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃ ¹¹וַעֲנָוִ֥ים יִֽירְשׁוּ־ אָ֑רֶץ וְ֝הִתְעַנְּג֗וּ עַל־ רֹ֥ב שָׁלֽוֹם׃ ¹²זֹמֵ֣ם רָ֭שָׁע לַצַּדִּ֑יק וְחֹרֵ֖ק עָלָ֣יו שִׁנָּֽיו׃ ¹³אֲדֹנָ֥י יִשְׂחַק־ ל֑וֹ כִּֽי־ רָ֝אָ֗ה כִּֽי־ יָבֹ֥א יוֹמֽוֹ׃ ¹⁴חֶ֤רֶב׀ פָּֽתְח֣וּ רְשָׁעִים֮ וְדָרְכ֪וּ קַ֫שְׁתָּ֥ם לְ֭הַפִּיל עָנִ֣י וְאֶבְי֑וֹן לִ֝טְב֗וֹחַ יִשְׁרֵי־ דָֽרֶךְ׃ ¹⁵חַ֭רְבָּם תָּב֣וֹא בְלִבָּ֑ם וְ֝קַשְּׁתוֹתָ֗ם תִּשָּׁבַֽרְנָה׃ ¹⁶טוֹב־ מְ֭עַט לַצַּדִּ֑יק מֵ֝הֲמ֗וֹן רְשָׁעִ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃ ¹⁷כִּ֤י זְרוֹע֣וֹת רְ֭שָׁעִים תִּשָּׁבַ֑רְנָה וְסוֹמֵ֖ךְ צַדִּיקִ֣ים יְהוָֽה׃ ¹⁸יוֹדֵ֣עַ יְ֭הוָה יְמֵ֣י תְמִימִ֑ם וְ֝נַחֲלָתָ֗ם לְעוֹלָ֥ם תִּהְיֶֽה׃ ¹⁹לֹֽא־ יֵ֭בֹשׁוּ בְּעֵ֣ת רָעָ֑ה וּבִימֵ֖י רְעָב֣וֹן יִשְׂבָּֽעוּ׃ ²⁰כִּ֤י רְשָׁעִ֨ים׀ יֹאבֵ֗דוּ וְאֹיְבֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה כִּיקַ֣ר כָּרִ֑ים כָּל֖וּ בֶעָשָׁ֣ן כָּֽלוּ׃ ²¹לוֶֹ֣ה רָ֭שָׁע וְלֹ֣א יְשַׁלֵּ֑ם וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק חוֹנֵ֥ן וְנוֹתֵֽן׃ ²²כִּ֣י מְ֭בֹרָכָיו יִ֣ירְשׁוּ אָ֑רֶץ וּ֝מְקֻלָּלָ֗יו יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃ ²³מֵ֭יְהוָה מִֽצְעֲדֵי־ גֶ֥בֶר כּוֹנָ֗נוּ וְדַרְכּ֥וֹ יֶחְפָּֽץ׃ ²⁴כִּֽי־ יִפֹּ֥ל לֹֽא־ יוּטָ֑ל כִּֽי־ יְ֝הוָ֗ה סוֹמֵ֥ךְ יָדֽוֹ׃ ²⁵נַ֤עַר׀ הָיִ֗יתִי גַּם־ זָ֫קַ֥נְתִּי וְֽלֹא־ רָ֭אִיתִי צַדִּ֣יק נֶעֱזָ֑ב וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ מְבַקֶּשׁ־ לָֽחֶם׃ ²⁶כָּל־ הַ֭יּוֹם חוֹנֵ֣ן וּמַלְוֶ֑ה וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ לִבְרָכָֽה׃ ²⁷ס֣וּר מֵ֭רָע וַעֲשֵׂה־ ט֗וֹב וּשְׁכֹ֥ן לְעוֹלָֽם׃ ²⁸כִּ֤י יְהוָ֨ה׀ אֹ֘הֵ֤ב מִשְׁפָּ֗ט וְלֹא־ יַעֲזֹ֣ב אֶת־ חֲ֭סִידָיו לְעוֹלָ֣ם נִשְׁמָ֑רוּ וְזֶ֖רַע רְשָׁעִ֣ים נִכְרָֽת׃ ²⁹צַדִּיקִ֥ים יִֽירְשׁוּ־ אָ֑רֶץ וְיִשְׁכְּנ֖וּ לָעַ֣ד עָלֶֽיהָ׃ ³⁰פִּֽי־ צַ֭דִּיק יֶהְגֶּ֣ה חָכְמָ֑ה וּ֝לְשׁוֹנ֗וֹ תְּדַבֵּ֥ר מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ ³¹תּוֹרַ֣ת אֱלֹהָ֣יו בְּלִבּ֑וֹ לֹ֖א תִמְעַ֣ד אֲשֻׁרָֽיו׃ ³²צוֹפֶ֣ה רָ֭שָׁע לַצַּדִּ֑יק וּ֝מְבַקֵּ֗שׁ לַהֲמִיתוֹ׃ ³³יְ֭הוָה לֹא־ יַעַזְבֶ֣נּוּ בְיָד֑וֹ וְלֹ֥א יַ֝רְשִׁיעֶ֗נּוּ בְּהִשָּׁפְטֽוֹ׃ ³⁴קַוֵּ֤ה אֶל־ יְהוָ֨ה׀ וּשְׁמֹ֬ר דַּרְכּ֗וֹ וִֽ֭ירוֹמִמְךָ לָרֶ֣שֶׁת אָ֑רֶץ בְּהִכָּרֵ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים תִּרְאֶֽה׃ ³⁵רָ֭אִיתִי רָשָׁ֣ע עָרִ֑יץ וּ֝מִתְעָרֶ֗ה כְּאֶזְרָ֥ח רַעֲנָֽן׃ ³⁶וַ֭יַּֽעֲבֹר וְהִנֵּ֣ה אֵינֶ֑נּוּ וָֽ֝אֲבַקְשֵׁ֗הוּ וְלֹ֣א נִמְצָֽא׃ ³⁷שְׁמָר־ תָּ֭ם וּרְאֵ֣ה יָשָׁ֑ר כִּֽי־ אַחֲרִ֖ית לְאִ֣ישׁ שָׁלֽוֹם׃ ³⁸וּֽ֭פֹשְׁעִים נִשְׁמְד֣וּ יַחְדָּ֑ו אַחֲרִ֖ית רְשָׁעִ֣ים נִכְרָֽתָה׃ ³⁹וּתְשׁוּעַ֣ת צַ֭דִּיקִים מֵיְהוָ֑ה מָֽ֝עוּזָּ֗ם בְּעֵ֣ת צָרָֽה׃ ⁴⁰וַֽיַּעְזְרֵ֥ם יְהוָ֗ה וַֽיְפַ֫לְּטֵ֥ם יְפַלְּטֵ֣ם מֵ֭רְשָׁעִים וְיוֹשִׁיעֵ֑ם כִּי־ חָ֥סוּ בֽוֹ׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 37:1

26 Psalms 37:1-40 ¹Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

²For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

³Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

⁴Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

⁵Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

⁶And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

⁷Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

⁸Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

⁹For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

¹⁰For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

¹¹But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

¹²The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

¹³The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

¹⁴The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

¹⁵Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

¹⁶A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

¹⁷For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

¹⁸The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

¹⁹They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

²⁰But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

²¹The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

²²For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

²³The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

²⁴Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

²⁵I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

²⁶He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

²⁷Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

²⁸For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

²⁹The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

³⁰The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

³¹The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

³²The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

³³The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

³⁴Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

³⁵I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

³⁶Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

³⁷Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

³⁸But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

³⁹But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

⁴⁰And the LORD shall help them and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.(KJV)

³Trust in Jehovah, and do good;

Dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness.

⁴Delight thyself also in Jehovah;

And he will give thee the desires of thy heart.

⁵Commit thy way unto Jehovah;

Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass.

⁶And he will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light,

And thy justice as the noon-day.

⁷Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him:

Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,

Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

⁸Cease from anger, and forsake wrath:

Fret not thyself, it tendeth only to evil-doing.

⁹For evil-doers shall be cut off;

But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the land.

¹⁰For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be:

Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and he shall not be.

¹¹But the meek shall inherit the land,

And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

¹²The wicked plotteth against the just,

And gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

¹⁶Better is a little that the righteous hath

Than the abundance of many wicked.

¹⁷For the arms of the wicked shall be broken;

But Jehovah upholdeth the righteous.

¹⁸Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect;

And their inheritance shall be for ever.

¹⁹They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil;

And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

²⁰But the wicked shall perish,

And the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs:

They shall consume;

In smoke shall they consume away.

²¹The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again;

But the righteous dealeth graciously, and giveth.

²²For such as are blessed of him shall inherit the land;

And they that are cursed of him shall be cut off.

²³A man's goings are established of Jehovah;

And he delighteth in his way.

²⁴Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;

For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.

²⁵I have been young, and now am old;

Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,

Nor his seed begging bread.

²⁶All the day long he dealeth graciously, and lendeth;

And his seed is blessed.

²⁷Depart from evil, and do good;

And dwell for evermore.

²⁸For Jehovah loveth justice,

And forsaketh not his saints;

They are preserved for ever:

But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

²⁹The righteous shall inherit the land,

And dwell therein for ever.

³⁰The mouth of the righteous talketh of wisdom,

And his tongue speaketh justice.

³¹The law of his God is in his heart;

None of his steps shall slide.

³²The wicked watcheth the righteous,

And seeketh to slay him.

³³Jehovah will not leave him in his hand,

Nor condemn him when he is judged.

³⁴Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way,

And he will exalt thee to inherit the land:

When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

³⁵I have seen the wicked in great power,

And spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.

³⁶But one passed by, and, lo, he was not:

Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

³⁷Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright;

For there is a happy end to the man of peace.

³⁸As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together;

The end of the wicked shall be cut off.

³⁹But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah;

He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

⁴⁰And Jehovah helpeth them, and rescueth them;(ASV)

²¹¶ The wicked borrows, and pays not again; but the righteous shows mercy, and gives. ²²For the blessed of the LORD shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be wiped out. ²³The steps of a good man are established by the LORD; he sets his course. ²⁴Though he fall, he shall not be hurt; for the LORD upholds him with his hand. ²⁵I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. ²⁶But he is ever merciful and lends; and his offspring is blessed. ²⁷Depart from evil, and do good; and rest for evermore. ²⁸For the LORD loves justice, and he forsakes not his righteous ones; he keeps them for ever; but the seed of the wicked, he destroys. ²⁹The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. ³⁰The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of justice. ³¹The law of God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. ³²The wicked lies in wait for the righteous, and seeks to slay him. ³³The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

³⁴¶ Trust in the LORD and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. ³⁵For I have seen the wicked boasting and spreading himself like stout forest trees; ³⁶Yet when I passed by, lo, he was not; yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. ³⁷Uphold the perfect and select the upright; for there is a good end for peaceful men. ³⁸But sinners shall be destroyed together; yea, the end of the wicked shall be destruction. ³⁹But the Saviour of the righteous is the LORD; he will help them in time of trouble. ⁴⁰And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; he shall deliver them from the wicked and save them, because they trust in him.
