26 Psalms 32:1-11 1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

3When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

5I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

6For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

7Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

8I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

9Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.(KJV)

26 Psalms 32:1-11 1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,

Whose sin is covered.

2Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity,

And in whose spirit there is no guile.

3When I kept silence, my bones wasted away

Through my groaning all the day long.

4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me:

My moisture was changed as with the drought of summer.

Selah

5I acknowledged my sin unto thee,

And mine iniquity did I not hide:

I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah;

And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.

Selah

6For this let every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found:

Surely when the great waters overflow they shall not reach unto him.

7Thou art my hiding-place; thou wilt preserve me from trouble;

Thou wilt compass me about with songs of deliverance.

Selah

8I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:

I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.

9Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding;

Whose trappings must be bit and bridle to hold them in,

Else they will not come near unto thee.

10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked;

But he that trusteth in Jehovah, lovingkindness shall compass him about.

11Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous;(ASV)

26 Psalms 32:1-11 1BLESSED is he whose transgression is forgiven and whose sin is blotted out. 2Blessed is the man to whom the LORD has not reckoned his iniquity, and in whose heart there is no guile. 3Because I suffered in silence all the day long, my bones waxed old during my deep slumber. 4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; intense pain developed in my heart great enough to kill me. 5I have acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid from thee. I said, I will confess my faults to the LORD; and thou forgavest all of my sins. 6For this let every one that is chosen pray unto thee at an appointed time; surely even the floods of great waters shall not come near him.

7¶ Thou art my refuge; thou shalt protect me from mine enemies; thou wilt compass me about with glory and salvation. 8I have made you to understand and have led you on the way which you shall take; I will follow you with my eyes. 9Be not as the horse or as the mule, which have no understanding, which must be subdued with bit and bridle from their youth; no one goes near them. 10The wicked has many sorrows; but he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him. 11Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous; and praise him, all you that are upright in heart. (LAM)

26 Psalms 32:1-11 1A Psalm of David. A Maskil. 2Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 3Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 4When I declared not my sin, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long. 5For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. [Selah] 6I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. [Selah] 7Therefore let every one who is godly offer prayer to thee; at a time of distress, in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. 8Thou art a hiding place for me, thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with deliverance. [Selah] 9I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. 10Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, else it will not keep with you. 11Many are the pangs of the wicked; but steadfast love surrounds him who trusts in the LORD. [ (Psalms 32:12) Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! ] (RSV)

26 Psalms 32:1-11 1Blessed is he
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.

2Blessed is the man
whose sin the LORD does not count against him
and in whose spirit is no deceit.

3When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.

4For day and night
your hand was heavy upon me;

my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer. Selah

5Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.

I said, "I will confess
my transgressions to the LORD" --

and you forgave
the guilt of my sin. Selah

6Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you
while you may be found;

surely when the mighty waters rise,
they will not reach him.

7You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

8I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you and watch over you.

9Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding

but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.

10Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the LORD's unfailing love
surrounds the man who trusts in him.

11Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!(NIV)
