26 Psalms 16:1-11 ¹מִכְתָּ֥ם לְדָוִ֑ד שָֽׁמְרֵ֥נִי אֵ֝֗ל כִּֽי־ חָסִ֥יתִי בָֽךְ׃ ²אָמַ֣רְתְּ לַֽ֭יהוָה אֲדֹנָ֣י אָ֑תָּה ט֝וֹבָתִ֗י בַּל־ עָלֶֽיךָ׃ ³לִ֭קְדוֹשִׁים אֲשֶׁר־ בָּאָ֣רֶץ הֵ֑מָּה וְ֝אַדִּירֵ֗י כָּל־ חֶפְצִי־ בָֽם׃ ⁴יִרְבּ֥וּ עַצְּבוֹתָם֮ אַחֵ֪ר מָ֫הָ֥רוּ בַּל־ אַסִּ֣יךְ נִסְכֵּיהֶ֣ם מִדָּ֑ם וּֽבַל־ אֶשָּׂ֥א אֶת־ שְׁ֝מוֹתָ֗ם עַל־ שְׂפָתָֽי׃ ⁵יְֽהוָ֗ה מְנָת־ חֶלְקִ֥י וְכוֹסִ֑י אַ֝תָּ֗ה תּוֹמִ֥יךְ גּוֹרָלִֽי׃ ⁶חֲבָלִ֣ים נָֽפְלוּ־ לִ֭י בַּנְּעִמִ֑ים אַף־ נַ֝חֲלָ֗ת שָֽׁפְרָ֥ה עָלָֽי׃ ⁷אֲבָרֵ֗ךְ אֶת־ יְ֭הוָה אֲשֶׁ֣ר יְעָצָ֑נִי אַף־ לֵ֝יל֗וֹת יִסְּר֥וּנִי כִלְיוֹתָֽי׃ ⁸שִׁוִּ֬יתִי יְהוָ֣ה לְנֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִ֑יד כִּ֥י מִֽ֝ימִינִ֗י בַּל־ אֶמּֽוֹט׃ ⁹לָכֵ֤ן׀ שָׂמַ֣ח לִ֭בִּי וַיָּ֣גֶל כְּבוֹדִ֑י אַף־ בְּ֝שָׂרִ֗י יִשְׁכֹּ֥ן לָבֶֽטַח׃ ¹⁰כִּ֤י׀ לֹא־ תַעֲזֹ֣ב נַפְשִׁ֣י לִשְׁא֑וֹל לֹֽא־ תִתֵּ֥ן חֲ֝סִידְךָ֗ לִרְא֥וֹת שָֽׁחַת׃ ¹¹תּֽוֹדִיעֵנִי֮ אֹ֤רַח חַ֫יִּ֥ים שֹׂ֣בַע שְׂ֭מָחוֹת אֶת־ פָּנֶ֑יךָ נְעִמ֖וֹת בִּימִינְךָ֣ נֶֽצַח׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 16:1

26 Psalms 16:1-11 ¹Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

²O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

³But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

⁴Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

⁵The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

⁶The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

⁷I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

⁸I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

¹⁰For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

¹¹Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.(KJV)

²O my soul, thou hast said unto Jehovah, Thou art my Lord:

I have no good beyond thee.

³As for the saints that are in the earth,

They are the excellent in whom is all my delight.

⁴Their sorrows shall be multiplied that give gifts for another god:

Their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer,

Nor take their names upon my lips.

⁵Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup:

Thou maintainest my lot.

⁶The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places;

Yea, I have a goodly heritage.

⁷I will bless Jehovah, who hath given me counsel;

Yea, my heart instructeth me in the night seasons.

⁸I have set Jehovah always before me:

Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth;

My flesh also shall dwell in safety.

¹⁰For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol;

Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.

¹¹Thou wilt show me the path of life:(ASV)

26 Psalms 16:1-11 ¹PRESERVE me, O God; for in thee do I put my trust. ²I have said unto the LORD, Thou art my LORD, and my goodness cometh from thee; ³I said it also to the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. ⁴The sorrows of the wicked shall be multiplied in rapid succession that I may not pour out their libations of blood; nor will I mention their names with my lips. ⁵The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup; thou shalt restore my inheritance. ⁶My portion of the land fell to me in goodly places; yea, I have been pleased with my heritage. ⁷I will bless the LORD, for he has given me counsel; my intuition also guides me during the night.

⁸¶ I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. ⁹Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh also shall rest in hope. ¹⁰For thou hast left not my soul in Sheol; neither hast thou suffered thy Holy One to see corruption. ¹¹Thou wilt show me the path of life, and I shall be filled with the joy of thy countenance, with the pleasure of victory of thy right hand. 26 Psalms 16:1-11 ¹A Miktam of David. ²Preserve me, O God, for in thee I take refuge. ³I say to the LORD, "Thou art my Lord; I have no good apart from thee." ⁴As for the saints in the land, they are the noble, in whom is all my delight. ⁵Those who choose another god multiply their sorrows; their libations of blood I will not pour out or take their names upon my lips. ⁶The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; thou holdest my lot. ⁷The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. ⁸I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. ⁹I keep the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. ¹⁰Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure. ¹¹For thou dost not give me up to Sheol, or let thy godly one see the Pit. [ (Psalms 16:12) Thou dost show me the path of life; in thy presence there is fulness of joy, in thy right hand are pleasures for evermore. ] (RSV)

26 Psalms 16:1-11 ¹Keep me safe, O God,
for in you I take refuge.

²I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing."

³As for the saints who are in the land,
they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.

⁴The sorrows of those will increase
who run after other gods.

I will not pour out their libations of blood
or take up their names on my lips.

⁵LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup;
you have made my lot secure.

⁶The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.

⁷I will praise the LORD, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.

⁸I have set the LORD always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,

¹⁰because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

¹¹You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.(NIV)

They are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.

Their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer,
Nor take their names on my lips.

⁵Yahweh assigned my portion and my cup.
You made my lot secure.

⁶The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places.
Yes, I have a good inheritance.

⁷I will bless Yahweh, who has given me counsel.
Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.

⁸I have set Yahweh always before me.
Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices.
My body shall also dwell in safety.

¹⁰For you will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.

¹¹You will show me the path of life.
In your presence is fullness of joy.(WEB)

Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices.
My body shall also dwell in safety.

¹⁰For you will not leave my soul in Sheol,
neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.

¹¹You will show me the path of life.

26 Psalms 16:1-11 ¹PRESERVE me, oh God; for in you I put my trust. ²I have said to Yahvah, You are my Lord, and my goodness comes from you; ³I said it also to the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. ⁴The sorrows of the wicked will be multiplied in rapid succession that I may not pour out their libations of blood; nor will I mention their names with my lips. ⁵Yahvah is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup; you will restore my inheritance. ⁶My portion of the land fell to me in attractive places; yes, I have been pleased with my heritage. ⁷I will bless Yahvah, for he has given me counsel; my intuition also guides me during the night.

⁸I have set Yahvah always before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be moved. ⁹Therefore, my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh will also rest in hope. ¹⁰For you have not left my soul in Sheol; nor have you permitted your Holy One to see corruption. ¹¹You will show me the path of life, and I will be filled with the joy of your countenance, with the pleasure of victory of your right hand.
