26 Psalms 8:1-9 ¹לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ עַֽל־ הַגִּתִּ֗ית מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ ²יְהוָ֤ה אֲדֹנֵ֗ינוּ מָֽה־ אַדִּ֣יר שִׁ֭מְךָ בְּכָל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּנָ֥ה ה֝וֹדְךָ֗ עַל־ הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ ³מִפִּ֤י עֽוֹלְלִ֨ים׀ וְֽיֹנְקִים֮ יִסַּ֪דְתָּ֫ עֹ֥ז לְמַ֥עַן צוֹרְרֶ֑יךָ לְהַשְׁבִּ֥ית א֝וֹיֵ֗ב וּמִתְנַקֵּֽם׃ ⁴כִּֽי־ אֶרְאֶ֣ה שָׁ֭מֶיךָ מַעֲשֵׂ֣י אֶצְבְּעֹתֶ֑יךָ יָרֵ֥חַ וְ֝כוֹכָבִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר כּוֹנָֽנְתָּה׃ ⁵מָֽה־ אֱנ֥וֹשׁ כִּֽי־ תִזְכְּרֶ֑נּוּ וּבֶן־ אָ֝דָ֗ם כִּ֣י תִפְקְדֶֽנּוּ׃ ⁶וַתְּחַסְּרֵ֣הוּ מְּ֭עַט מֵאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְכָב֖וֹד וְהָדָ֣ר תְּעַטְּרֵֽהוּ׃ ⁷תַּ֭מְשִׁילֵהוּ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣י יָדֶ֑יךָ כֹּ֝ל שַׁ֣תָּה תַֽחַת־ רַגְלָֽיו׃ ⁸צֹנֶ֣ה וַאֲלָפִ֣ים כֻּלָּ֑ם וְ֝גַ֗ם בַּהֲמ֥וֹת שָׂדָֽי׃ ⁹צִפּ֣וֹר שָׁ֭מַיִם וּדְגֵ֣י הַיָּ֑ם עֹ֝בֵ֗ר אָרְח֥וֹת יַמִּֽים׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 8:1

26 Psalms 8:1-9 ¹O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

²Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

³When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

⁴What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

⁵For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

⁶Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

⁷All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

⁸The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

⁹O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!(KJV)

Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!

²Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength,

Because of thine adversaries,

That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

³When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,

The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

⁴What is man, that thou art mindful of him?

And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

⁵For thou hast made him but little lower than God,

And crownest him with glory and honor.

⁶Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands;

Thou hast put all things under his feet:

⁷All sheep and oxen,

Yea, and the beasts of the field,

⁸The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,

Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

26 Psalms 8:1-9 ¹O LORD, our LORD, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Thou hast set thy glory upon the heavens. ²Out of the mouth of young men and infants hast thou established thy glory because of thine enemies, that thou mightest destroy the enemy and the avenger.

³¶ For thy heavens have seen the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; ⁴What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? ⁵For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast clothed him with glory and honor. ⁶Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet, ⁷All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the wilderness; ⁸The fowl of the air and the fish of the sea which pass through the paths of the seas. ⁹O LORD, our LORD, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Thou whose glory above the heavens is chanted ³by the mouth of babes and infants, thou hast founded a bulwark because of thy foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. ⁴When I look at thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars which thou hast established; ⁵what is man that thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that thou dost care for him? ⁶Yet thou hast made him little less than God, and dost crown him with glory and honor. ⁷Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet, ⁸all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, ⁹the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the sea. You have set your glory
above the heavens.

²From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise

because of your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

³When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,

the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,

⁴what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?

⁵You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor.

⁶You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
you put everything under his feet:

⁷all flocks and herds,
and the beasts of the field,

⁸the birds of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

⁹O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!(NIV)
