26 Psalms 5:1-12 ¹לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ אֶֽל־ הַנְּחִיל֗וֹת מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ ²אֲמָרַ֖י הַאֲזִ֥ינָה׀ יְהוָ֗ה בִּ֣ינָה הֲגִֽיגִי׃ ³הַקְשִׁ֤יבָה׀ לְק֬וֹל שַׁוְעִ֗י מַלְכִּ֥י וֵאלֹהָ֑י כִּֽי־ אֵ֝לֶ֗יךָ אֶתְפַּלָּֽל׃ ⁴יְֽהוָ֗ה בֹּ֖קֶר תִּשְׁמַ֣ע קוֹלִ֑י בֹּ֥קֶר אֶֽעֱרָךְ־ לְ֝ךָ֗ וַאֲצַפֶּֽה׃ ⁵כִּ֤י׀ לֹ֤א אֵֽל־ חָפֵ֘ץ רֶ֥שַׁע׀ אָ֑תָּה לֹ֖א יְגֻרְךָ֣ רָֽע׃ ⁶לֹֽא־ יִתְיַצְּב֣וּ הֽ֭וֹלְלִים לְנֶ֣גֶד עֵינֶ֑יךָ שָׂ֝נֵ֗אתָ כָּל־ פֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ ⁷תְּאַבֵּד֮ דֹּבְרֵ֪י כָ֫זָ֥ב אִישׁ־ דָּמִ֥ים וּמִרְמָ֗ה יְתָ֘עֵ֥ב׀ יְהוָֽה׃ ⁸וַאֲנִ֗י בְּרֹ֣ב חַ֭סְדְּךָ אָב֣וֹא בֵיתֶ֑ךָ אֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה אֶל־ הֵֽיכַל־ קָ֝דְשְׁךָ֗ בְּיִרְאָתֶֽךָ׃ ⁹יְהוָ֤ה׀ נְחֵ֬נִי בְצִדְקָתֶ֗ךָ לְמַ֥עַן שׁוֹרְרָ֑י לְפָנַ֣י דַּרְכֶּֽךָ׃ ¹⁰כִּ֤י אֵ֪ין בְּפִ֡יהוּ נְכוֹנָה֮ קִרְבָּ֪ם הַ֫וּ֥וֹת קֶֽבֶר־ פָּת֥וּחַ גְּרוֹנָ֑ם לְ֝שׁוֹנָ֗ם יַחֲלִֽיקוּן׃ ¹¹הַֽאֲשִׁימֵ֨ם׀ אֱ‍ֽלֹהִ֗ים יִפְּלוּ֮ מִֽמֹּעֲצ֪וֹתֵ֫יהֶ֥ם בְּרֹ֣ב פִּ֭שְׁעֵיהֶם הַדִּיחֵ֑מוֹ כִּי־ מָ֥רוּ בָֽךְ׃ ¹²וְיִשְׂמְח֨וּ כָל־ ח֪וֹסֵי בָ֡ךְ לְעוֹלָ֣ם יְ֭רַנֵּנוּ וְתָסֵ֣ךְ עָלֵ֑ימוֹ וְֽיַעְלְצ֥וּ בְ֝ךָ֗ אֹהֲבֵ֥י שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ (WLC)

26 Psalms 5:1

26 Psalms 5:1-12 ¹Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

²Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

³My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

⁴For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

⁵The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

⁶Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

⁷But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

⁸Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

⁹For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

¹⁰Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

¹¹But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

¹²For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.(KJV)

Consider my meditation.

²Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God;

For unto thee do I pray.

³O Jehovah, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice;

In the morning will I order my prayer unto thee, and will keep watch.

⁴For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness:

Evil shall not sojourn with thee.

⁵The arrogant shall not stand in thy sight:

Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

⁶Thou wilt destroy them that speak lies:

Jehovah abhorreth the blood-thirsty and deceitful man.

⁷But as for me, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness will I come into thy house:

In thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

⁸Lead me, O Jehovah, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies;

Make thy way straight before my face.

⁹For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;

Their inward part is very wickedness;

Their throat is an open sepulchre;

They flatter with their tongue.

¹⁰Hold them guilty, O God;

Let them fall by their own counsels;

Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions;

For they have rebelled against thee.

¹¹But let all those that take refuge in thee rejoice,

Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them:

Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

¹²For thou wilt bless the righteous;(ASV)

26 Psalms 5:1-12 ¹GIVE ear to my words, O LORD, and consider my meditation. ²Hearken to the voice of my cry, my King and my God; for to thee do I pray. ³My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD: and in the morning will I prepare myself and see thee. ⁴For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; neither shall evil dwell with thee. ⁵The proud shall not stand in thy sight; thou hatest all workers of iniquity. ⁶Thou shalt destroy them that speak falsehood; the LORD will reject the bloody and deceitful man.

⁷¶ But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy; and I will enter into thy house and worship in thy holy temple. ⁸Lead me, O LORD, in thy reverence and righteousness; and because of mine enemies, make thy way straight before my face. ⁹For there is no justice in their mouth; there is wickedness in them; their throat is an open sepulchre; they deceive with their tongues. ¹⁰Condemn thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their wickedness, for they have provoked thee. ¹¹But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice; they shall glorify thee forever, and thou shalt dwell among them; and all they that love thy name shall be strengthened by thee. ¹²For thou wilt bless the righteous; O LORD, thou hast adorned me like a perfect shield. A Psalm of David. ²Give ear to my words, O LORD; give heed to my groaning. ³Hearken to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to thee do I pray. ⁴O LORD, in the morning thou dost hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for thee, and watch. ⁵For thou art not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not sojourn with thee. ⁶The boastful may not stand before thy eyes; thou hatest all evildoers. ⁷Thou destroyest those who speak lies; the LORD abhors bloodthirsty and deceitful men. ⁸But I through the abundance of thy steadfast love will enter thy house, I will worship toward thy holy temple in the fear of thee. ⁹Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of my enemies; make thy way straight before me. ¹⁰For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is destruction, their throat is an open sepulchre, they flatter with their tongue. ¹¹Make them bear their guilt, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; because of their many transgressions cast them out, for they have rebelled against thee. ¹²But let all who take refuge in thee rejoice, let them ever sing for joy; and do thou defend them, that those who love thy name may exult in thee. [ (Psalms 5:13) For thou dost bless the righteous, O LORD; thou dost cover him with favor as with a shield. ] (RSV)

consider my sighing.

²Listen to my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.

³In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation.

⁴You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil;
with you the wicked cannot dwell.

⁵The arrogant cannot stand in your presence;
you hate all who do wrong.

⁶You destroy those who tell lies;
bloodthirsty and deceitful men
the LORD abhors.

⁷But I, by your great mercy,
will come into your house;

in reverence will I bow down
toward your holy temple.

⁸Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness
because of my enemies --
make straight your way before me.

⁹Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with destruction.

Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongue they speak deceit.

¹⁰Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.

Banish them for their many sins,
for they have rebelled against you.

¹¹But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.

Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

¹²For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.(NIV)

They flatter with their tongue.

¹⁰Hold them guilty, God.

Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them.

Let them also who love your name be joyful in you.
