12 Ezekiel 25:1-17 ¹וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ ²בֶּן־ אָדָ֕ם שִׂ֥ים פָּנֶ֖יךָ אֶל־ בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֑וֹן וְהִנָּבֵ֖א עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ ³וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ לִבְנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן שִׁמְע֖וּ דְּבַר־ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה כֹּה־ אָמַ֣ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֡ה יַעַן֩ אָמְרֵ֨ךְ הֶאָ֜ח אֶל־ מִקְדָּשִׁ֣י כִֽי־ נִחָ֗ל וְאֶל־ אַדְמַ֤ת יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ כִּ֣י נָשַׁ֔מָּה וְאֶל־ בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה כִּ֥י הָלְכ֖וּ בַּגּוֹלָֽה׃ ⁴לָכֵ֡ן הִנְנִי֩ נֹתְנָ֨ךְ לִבְנֵי־ קֶ֜דֶם לְמֽוֹרָשָׁ֗ה וְיִשְּׁב֤וּ טִירֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ בָּ֔ךְ וְנָ֥תְנוּ בָ֖ךְ מִשְׁכְּנֵיהֶ֑ם הֵ֚מָּה יֹאכְל֣וּ פִרְיֵ֔ךְ וְהֵ֖מָּה יִשְׁתּ֥וּ חֲלָבֵֽךְ׃ ⁵וְנָתַתִּ֤י אֶת־ רַבָּה֙ לִנְוֵ֣ה גְמַלִּ֔ים וְאֶת־ בְּנֵ֥י עַמּ֖וֹן לְמִרְבַּץ־ צֹ֑אן וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

⁶כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה יַ֚עַן מַחְאֲךָ֣ יָ֔ד וְרַקְעֲךָ֖ בְּרָ֑גֶל וַתִּשְׂמַ֤ח בְּכָל־ שָֽׁאטְךָ֙ בְּנֶ֔פֶשׁ אֶל־ אַדְמַ֖ת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ⁷לָכֵ֡ן הִנְנִי֩ נָטִ֨יתִי אֶת־ יָדִ֜י עָלֶ֗יךָ וּנְתַתִּ֤יךָ־ לַגּוֹיִ֔ם וְהִכְרַתִּ֙יךָ֙ מִן־ הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֖יךָ מִן־ הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת אַשְׁמִ֣ידְךָ֔ וְיָדַעְתָּ֖ כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

⁸כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה יַ֗עַן אֲמֹ֤ר מוֹאָב֙ וְשֵׂעִ֔יר הִנֵּ֥ה כְּכָֽל־ הַגּוֹיִ֖ם בֵּ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה׃ ⁹לָכֵן֩ הִנְנִ֨י פֹתֵ֜חַ אֶת־ כֶּ֤תֶף מוֹאָב֙ מֵהֶ֣עָרִ֔ים מֵֽעָרָ֖יו מִקָּצֵ֑הוּ צְבִ֗י אֶ֚רֶץ בֵּ֣ית הַיְשִׁימֹ֔ת בַּ֥עַל מְע֖וֹן ¹⁰לִבְנֵי־ קֶ֙דֶם֙ עַל־ בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן וּנְתַתִּ֖יהָ לְמֽוֹרָשָׁ֑ה לְמַ֛עַן לֹֽא־ תִזָּכֵ֥ר בְּנֵֽי־ עַמּ֖וֹן בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ ¹¹וּבְמוֹאָ֖ב אֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה שְׁפָטִ֑ים וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

¹²כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה יַ֣עַן עֲשׂ֥וֹת אֱד֛וֹם בִּנְקֹ֥ם נָקָ֖ם לְבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיֶּאְשְׁמ֥וּ אָשׁ֖וֹם וְנִקְּמ֥וּ בָהֶֽם׃ ¹³לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה וְנָטִ֤תִי יָדִי֙ עַל־ אֱד֔וֹם וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֣ם וּבְהֵמָ֑ה וּנְתַתִּ֤יהָ חָרְבָּה֙ מִתֵּימָ֔ן וּדְדָ֖נֶה בַּחֶ֥רֶב יִפֹּֽלוּ׃ ¹⁴וְנָתַתִּ֨י אֶת־ נִקְמָתִ֜י בֶּאֱד֗וֹם בְּיַד֙ עַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְעָשׂ֣וּ בֶאֱד֔וֹם כְּאַפִּ֖י וְכַחֲמָתִ֑י וְיָֽדְעוּ֙ אֶת־ נִקְמָתִ֔י נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

¹⁵כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה יַ֛עַן עֲשׂ֥וֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים בִּנְקָמָ֑ה וַיִּנָּקְמ֤וּ נָקָם֙ בִּשְׁאָ֣ט בְּנֶ֔פֶשׁ לְמַשְׁחִ֖ית אֵיבַ֥ת עוֹלָֽם׃ ¹⁶לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י נוֹטֶ֤ה יָדִי֙ עַל־ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י אֶת־ כְּרֵתִ֑ים וְהַ֣אֲבַדְתִּ֔י אֶת־ שְׁאֵרִ֖ית ח֥וֹף הַיָּֽם׃ ¹⁷וְעָשִׂ֤יתִי בָם֙ נְקָמ֣וֹת גְּדֹל֔וֹת בְּתוֹכְח֖וֹת חֵמָ֑ה וְיָֽדְעוּ֙ כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה בְּתִתִּ֥י אֶת־ נִקְמָתִ֖י בָּֽם׃ (WLC)

12 Ezekiel 25:1

12 Ezekiel 25:1-17 ¹The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, ²Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them; ³And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity; ⁴Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk. ⁵And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. ⁶For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel; ⁷Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

⁸Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen; ⁹Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim, ¹⁰Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations. ¹¹And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

¹²Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them; ¹³Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword. ¹⁴And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.

¹⁵Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred; ¹⁶Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast. ¹⁷And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.(KJV)

12 Ezekiel 25:1-17 ¹THE word of the LORD came to me, saying, ²Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites and prophesy against them; ³And say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the LORD God: Thus says the LORD God: Because you said, Aha, against my sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel when it was laid waste, and over the house of Judah when they went into captivity; ⁴Behold, therefore I will deliver you to the men of the east for a possession, and their army shall dwell in you and pitch their tents in you; they shall eat your fruit and they shall drink your milk. ⁵And I will make Rabbath a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a fold for flocks, and you shall know that I am the LORD. ⁶For thus says the LORD God: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped with your feet and rejoiced in yourself against the land of Israel; ⁷Therefore, thus says the LORD God: I will stretch out my hand against you and will deliver you for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from among the people, and I will destroy you out of the cities, and will make you desolate, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

⁸¶ Thus says the LORD God: Because Moab and Seir have said, Behold, the house of Judah is dispersed among all the nations; ⁹Therefore, behold, I will make a breach in Moab at the cities, at his royal city, at the towns round about him, the glory of the country of Beth-ashimon, Baal-meon, and Koriathaim, ¹⁰And I will give them, together with the Ammonites, to the men of the east as a possession, so that Rabbath of the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations. ¹¹And I will execute judgment upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD. ¹²Thus says the LORD God: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and had ill-will toward them and envied them; ¹³Therefore thus says the LORD God: Behold, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and will destroy both man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman to Deran; and they shall fall by the sword. ¹⁴And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall avenge themselves from Edom according to my anger and my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, says the LORD God. ¹⁵Thus says the LORD God: Because the Philistines have taken vengeance, and have revenged themselves with satisfaction of their heart, thus destroying the friendship of old; ¹⁶Therefore thus says the LORD God: Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will destroy Crete and lay waste the remnant of the seacoast. ¹⁷And I will execute my great vengeance upon them with rebukes and anger; and they shall know that I am the LORD when I have executed my vengeance upon them. 12 Ezekiel 25:1-17 ¹The word of the LORD came to me: ²"Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites, and prophesy against them. ³Say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD, Because you said, `Aha!' over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of Judah when it went into exile; ⁴therefore I am handing you over to the people of the East for a possession, and they shall set their encampments among you and make their dwellings in your midst; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk. ⁵I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and the cities of the Ammonites a fold for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD. ⁶For thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet and rejoiced with all the malice within you against the land of Israel, ⁷therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand against you, and will hand you over as spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples and will make you perish out of the countries; I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

⁸"Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab said, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the other nations, ⁹therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jesh'imoth, Ba'al-me'on, and Kiriatha'im. ¹⁰I will give it along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, that it may be remembered no more among the nations, ¹¹and I will execute judgments upon Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

¹²"Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them, ¹³therefore thus says the Lord GOD, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it desolate; from Teman even to Dedan they shall fall by the sword. ¹⁴And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD.

¹⁵"Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines acted revengefully and took vengeance with malice of heart to destroy in never-ending enmity; ¹⁶therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cher'ethites, and destroy the rest of the seacoast. ¹⁷I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful chastisements. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon them."(RSV)

12 Ezekiel 25:1-17 ¹The word of the LORD came to me: ²"Son of man, set your face against the Ammonites and prophesy against them. ³Say to them, `Hear the word of the Sovereign LORD. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because you said "Aha!" over my sanctuary when it was desecrated and over the land of Israel when it was laid waste and over the people of Judah when they went into exile, ⁴therefore I am going to give you to the people of the East as a possession. They will set up their camps and pitch their tents among you; they will eat your fruit and drink your milk. ⁵I will turn Rabbah into a pasture for camels and Ammon into a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I am the LORD. ⁶For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel, ⁷therefore I will stretch out my hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will cut you off from the nations and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy you, and you will know that I am the LORD.'"

⁸"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: `Because Moab and Seir said, "Look, the house of Judah has become like all the other nations," ⁹therefore I will expose the flank of Moab, beginning at its frontier towns -- Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon and Kiriathaim -- the glory of that land. ¹⁰I will give Moab along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, so that the Ammonites will not be remembered among the nations; ¹¹and I will inflict punishment on Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'"

¹²"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: `Because Edom took revenge on the house of Judah and became very guilty by doing so, ¹³therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will stretch out my hand against Edom and kill its men and their animals. I will lay it waste, and from Teman to Dedan they will fall by the sword. ¹⁴I will take vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel, and they will deal with Edom in accordance with my anger and my wrath; they will know my vengeance, declares the Sovereign LORD.'"

¹⁵"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: `Because the Philistines acted in vengeance and took revenge with malice in their hearts, and with ancient hostility sought to destroy Judah, ¹⁶therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am about to stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethites and destroy those remaining along the coast. ¹⁷I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I take vengeance on them.'"(NIV)

12 Ezekiel 25:1-17 ¹The word of the LORD came to me, saying, ²Son of man, set your face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them: ³and tell the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD, Because you said, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against Eretz-Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity: ⁴therefore, behold, I will deliver you to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in you, and make their dwellings in you; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk. ⁵I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a resting place for flocks: and you shall know that I am the LORD. ⁶For thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have clapped your hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of your soul against Eretz-Israel; ⁷therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand on you, and will deliver you for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples, and I will cause you to perish out of the countries: I will destroy you; and you shall know that I am the LORD. ⁸Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab and Seir say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations; ⁹therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim, ¹⁰to the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations. ¹¹and I will execute judgments on Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD. ¹²Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself on them; ¹³therefore thus says the Lord GOD, I will stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even to Dedan shall they fall by the sword. ¹⁴I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD. ¹⁵Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy with perpetual enmity; ¹⁶therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast. ¹⁷I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance on them.(WEB/HNV)

12 Ezekiel 25:1-17 ¹THE word of Yahvah came to me, saying, ²Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites and prophesy against them; ³And say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of Yahvah God: Thus says Yahvah God, Because you said, Aha, against my sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel when it was laid waste, and over the house of Judah when they went into captivity; ⁴Look, therefore I will deliver you to the men of the east for a possession, and their army will live in you and pitch their tents in you; they will eat your fruit and they will drink your milk. ⁵And I will make Rabbath a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a fold for flocks, and you will know that I am Yahvah. ⁶For thus says Yahvah God, Because you have clapped your hands and stamped with your feet and rejoiced in yourself against the land of Israel; ⁷Therefore, thus says Yahvah God, I will stretch out my hand against you and will deliver you for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from among the people, and I will destroy you out of the cities, and will make you desolate, and you will know that I am Yahvah.

⁸Thus says Yahvah God, Because Moab and Seir have said, Look, the house of Judah is dispersed among all the nations; ⁹Therefore, look, I will make a breach in Moab at the cities, at his royal city, at the towns around him, the glory of the country of Bethashimon, Baalmeon, and Koriathaim, ¹⁰And I will give them, together with the Ammonites, to the men of the east as a possession, so that Rabbath of the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations. ¹¹And I will execute judgment on Moab; and they will know that I am Yahvah. ¹²Thus says Yahvah God, Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and had ill-will toward them and envied them; ¹³Therefore, thus says Yahvah God, Look, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and will destroy both man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman to Deran; and they will fall by the sword. ¹⁴And I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they will avenge themselves from Edom according to my anger and my fury; and they will know my vengeance, says Yahvah God. ¹⁵Thus says Yahvah God, Because the Philistines have taken vengeance, and have revenged themselves with satisfaction of their heart, thus destroying the friendship of old; ¹⁶Therefore, thus says Yahvah God, Look, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will destroy Crete and lay waste the remnant of the seacoast. ¹⁷And I will execute my great vengeance on them with rebukes and anger; and they will know that I am Yahvah when I have executed my vengeance on them.
