12 Ezekiel 12:1-28 1The word of the LORD also came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house. 3Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house. 4Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity. 5Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby. 6In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel. 7And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.

8And in the morning came the word of the LORD unto me, saying, 9Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou? 10Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them. 11Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity. 12And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes. 13My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there. 14And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them. 15And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries. 16But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

17Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 18Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness; 19And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein. 20And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

21And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 22Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? 23Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. 24For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.

26Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 27Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off. 28Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.(KJV)

12 Ezekiel 12:1-28 1The word of Jehovah also came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see, and see not, that have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house. 3Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house. 4And thou shalt bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing; and thou shalt go forth thyself at even in their sight, as when men go forth into exile. 5Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby. 6In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the land: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel. 7And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the even I digged through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bare it upon my shoulder in their sight. 8And in the morning came the word of Jehovah unto me, saying, 9Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou? 10Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are. 11Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them; they shall go into exile, into captivity. 12And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, because he shall not see the land with his eyes. 13My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there. 14And I will scatter toward every wind all that are round about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them. 15And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries. 16But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations whither they come; and they shall know that I am Jehovah. 17Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, 18Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with fearfulness; 19and say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, and despoiled of all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein. 20And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. 21And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, 22Son of man, what is this proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? 23Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the fulfilment of every vision. 24For there shall be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25For I am Jehovah; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord Jehovah. 26Again the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, 27Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many day to come, and he prophesieth of times that are far off. 28Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, saith the Lord Jehovah.(ASV)

12 Ezekiel 12:1-28 1THE word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2Son of man, you live in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see and see not; who have ears to hear and hear not; for they are a rebellious house. 3Therefore, Son of man, prepare for yourself the things which are necessary for captivity, and go into the captivity by day in their sight; go from your own place to another place, so that they may see, because they are a rebellious house. 4Then bring out your belongings by day in their sight, as though they were the necessary things for captivity; and you shall go forth in the evening like those who go forth into captivity. 5Make a breach through the wall in their sight and go forth through it. 6Take the luggage on your shoulder and go forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you may not see the ground; for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel. 7And I did as he had commanded me: I brought forth my luggage by day as one who carries luggage into captivity, and in the evening I made a breach through the wall and went forth in the dark, carrying my luggage upon my shoulder in their sight. 8And the word of the LORD came upon me in the morning, saying, 9Son of man, if the children of the rebellious house of Israel should say to you, What are you doing? 10Say to them, Thus says the LORD God: Even so shall the prince carry such luggage in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel with him. 11Say to them, I am a sign to you; just as I have done, so shall it be done to you; you shall go into captivity. 12And the leader who is among you shall carry his luggage upon his shoulder, and shall go forth in the dark, and shall make a breach through the wall and go out through it; he shall cover his face, that he may not see the ground. 13And I will spread my net over him, and he shall be caught in it; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet he shall not see the land, and there shall he die. 14And I will scatter towards every wind all that are about him to help him and give him strength; and I will draw out the sword after them. 15And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them in the countries. 16But I will spare a few men of them from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the Gentiles whither they go; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

17¶ Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 18Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fear of scarcity; 19And say to the people of the land, Thus says the LORD God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and concerning the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fear of lack, and drink their water with terror, for the land shall be desolate from all that is therein, because of the iniquity of all those who dwell in it. 20And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall become desolate; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

21¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 22Son of man, what is that proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision shall fall? 23Tell them therefore, Thus says the LORD God: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say to them, The days are at hand when every vision shall come true. 24For there shall be no more any false vision nor doubtful divination among the children of Israel. 25For I am the LORD; I have spoken, and the word which I speak I shall perform it; and I shall no more delay it; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, says the LORD God. 26Again the word of the LORD came upon me, saying, 27Son of man, behold, the children of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for the distant future, and he prophesies of the times that are far off. 28Therefore say unto them, Thus says the LORD God: There shall none of my words be delayed any more, but the word which I have spoken I shall soon fulfil, says the LORD God. 12 Ezekiel 12:1-28 1The word of the LORD came to me: 2"Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see, but see not, who have ears to hear, but hear not; 3for they are a rebellious house. Therefore, son of man, prepare for yourself an exile's baggage, and go into exile by day in their sight; you shall go like an exile from your place to another place in their sight. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house. 4You shall bring out your baggage by day in their sight, as baggage for exile; and you shall go forth yourself at evening in their sight, as men do who must go into exile. 5Dig through the wall in their sight, and go out through it. 6In their sight you shall lift the baggage upon your shoulder, and carry it out in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you may not see the land; for I have made you a sign for the house of Israel."

7And I did as I was commanded. I brought out my baggage by day, as baggage for exile, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my own hands; I went forth in the dark, carrying my outfit upon my shoulder in their sight.

8In the morning the word of the LORD came to me: 9"Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, `What are you doing?' 10Say to them, `Thus says the Lord GOD: This oracle concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel who are in it.' 11Say, `I am a sign for you: as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.' 12And the prince who is among them shall lift his baggage upon his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth; he shall dig through the wall and go out through it; he shall cover his face, that he may not see the land with his eyes. 13And I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon in the land of the Chalde'ans, yet he shall not see it; and he shall die there. 14And I will scatter toward every wind all who are round about him, his helpers and all his troops; and I will unsheathe the sword after them. 15And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries. 16But I will let a few of them escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence, that they may confess all their abominations among the nations where they go, and may know that I am the LORD."

17Moreover the word of the LORD came to me: 18"Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink water with trembling and with fearfulness; 19and say of the people of the land, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink water in dismay, because their land will be stripped of all it contains, on account of the violence of all those who dwell in it. 20And the inhabited cities shall be laid waste, and the land shall become a desolation; and you shall know that I am the LORD."

21And the word of the LORD came to me: 22"Son of man, what is this proverb that you have about the land of Israel, saying, `The days grow long, and every vision comes to nought'? 23Tell them therefore, `Thus says the Lord GOD: I will put an end to this proverb, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.' But say to them, The days are at hand, and the fulfilment of every vision. 24For there shall be no more any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25But I the LORD will speak the word which I will speak, and it will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, but in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it, says the Lord GOD."

26Again the word of the LORD came to me: 27"Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, `The vision that he sees is for many days hence, and he prophesies of times far off.' 28Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word which I speak will be performed, says the Lord GOD."(RSV)

12 Ezekiel 12:1-28 1The word of the LORD came to me: 2"Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.

3"Therefore, son of man, pack your belongings for exile and in the daytime, as they watch, set out and go from where you are to another place. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house. 4During the daytime, while they watch, bring out your belongings packed for exile. Then in the evening, while they are watching, go out like those who go into exile. 5While they watch, dig through the wall and take your belongings out through it. 6Put them on your shoulder as they are watching and carry them out at dusk. Cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have made you a sign to the house of Israel."

7So I did as I was commanded. During the day I brought out my things packed for exile. Then in the evening I dug through the wall with my hands. I took my belongings out at dusk, carrying them on my shoulders while they watched.

8In the morning the word of the LORD came to me: 9"Son of man, did not that rebellious house of Israel ask you, `What are you doing?'

10"Say to them, `This is what the Sovereign LORD says: This oracle concerns the prince in Jerusalem and the whole house of Israel who are there.' 11Say to them, `I am a sign to you.' "As I have done, so it will be done to them. They will go into exile as captives.

12"The prince among them will put his things on his shoulder at dusk and leave, and a hole will be dug in the wall for him to go through. He will cover his face so that he cannot see the land. 13I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare; I will bring him to Babylonia, the land of the Chaldeans, but he will not see it, and there he will die. 14I will scatter to the winds all those around him -- his staff and all his troops -- and I will pursue them with drawn sword.

15"They will know that I am the LORD, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries. 16But I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine and plague, so that in the nations where they go they may acknowledge all their detestable practices. Then they will know that I am the LORD."

17The word of the LORD came to me: 18"Son of man, tremble as you eat your food, and shudder in fear as you drink your water. 19Say to the people of the land: `This is what the Sovereign LORD says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there. 20The inhabited towns will be laid waste and the land will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'"

21The word of the LORD came to me: 22"Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: `The days go by and every vision comes to nothing'? 23Say to them, `This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.' Say to them, `The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled. 24For there will be no more false visions or flattering divinations among the people of Israel. 25But I the LORD will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, you rebellious house, I will fulfill whatever I say, declares the Sovereign LORD.'"

26The word of the LORD came to me: 27"Son of man, the house of Israel is saying, `The vision he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies about the distant future.'

28"Therefore say to them, `This is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign LORD.'"(NIV)

12 Ezekiel 12:1-28 1The word of Yahweh also came to me, saying, 2Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see, and don't see, who have ears to hear, and don't hear; for they are a rebellious house. 3Therefore, you son of man, prepare you stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and you shall remove from your place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house. 4You shall bring forth your stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing; and you shall go forth yourself at even in their sight, as when men go forth into exile. 5Dig you through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby. 6In their sight shall you bear it on your shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you don't see the land: for I have set you for a sign to the house of Israel. 7I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the even I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight. 8In the morning came the word of Yahweh to me, saying, 9Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What do you? 10Say you to them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are. 11Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity. 12The prince who is among them shall bear on his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, because he shall not see the land with his eyes. 13My net also will I spread on him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there. 14I will scatter toward every wind all who are round about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them. 15They shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries. 16But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they come; and they shall know that I am Yahweh. 17Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 18Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fearfulness; 19and tell the people of the land, Thus says the Lord Yahweh concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, and despoiled of all that is therein, because of the violence of all those who dwell therein. 20The cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and youP shall know that I am Yahweh. 21The word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 22Son of man, what is this proverb that youP have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision fails? 23Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but tell them, The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision. 24For there shall be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25For I am Yahweh; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it, says the Lord Yahweh. 26Again the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 27Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for many day to come, and he prophesies of times that are far off. 28Therefore tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, says the Lord Yahweh.(WEB)

12 Ezekiel 12:1-28 1The word of the LORD also came to me, saying, 2Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see, and don't see, who have ears to hear, and don't hear; for they are a rebellious house. 6In their sight you shall bear it on your shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you don't see the land: for I have set you for a sign to the house of Israel. 7I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the even I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight. 8In the morning came the word of the LORD to me, saying, 9Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What do you? 10Say you to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are. 14I will scatter toward every wind all who are around him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them. 15They shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries. 16But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD. 17Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 18Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fearfulness; 19and tell the people of the land, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and Eretz-Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, and despoiled of all that is therein, because of the violence of all those who dwell therein. 20The cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and you shall know that I am the LORD. 21The word of the LORD came to me, saying, 22Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in Eretz-Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision fails? 23Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord GOD: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but tell them, The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision. 24For there shall be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25For I am the LORD; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it, says the Lord GOD. 26Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 27Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for many day to come, and he prophesies of times that are far off. 28Therefore tell them, Thus says the Lord GOD: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, says the Lord GOD.(WEB/HNV)

12 Ezekiel 12:1-28 1THE word of Yahvah came to me, saying, 2Son of man, you live in the middle of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see and do not see; who have ears to hear and do not hear; for they are a rebellious house. 3Therefore, Son of man, prepare for yourself the things which are necessary for captivity, and go into the captivity by day in their sight; go from your own place to another place, so that they may see, because they are a rebellious house. 4Then bring out your belongings by day in their sight, as though they were the necessary things for captivity; and you will go forth in the evening like those who go forth into captivity. 5Make a breach through the wall in their sight and go forth through it. 6Take the luggage on your shoulder and go forth in the dark; you will cover your face, that you may not see the ground; for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel. 7And I did as he had commanded me: I brought forth my luggage by day as one who carries luggage into captivity, and in the evening I made a breach through the wall and went forth in the dark, carrying my luggage on my shoulder in their sight. 8And the word of Yahvah came on me in the morning, saying, 9Son of man, if the children of the rebellious house of Israel should say to you, What are you doing? 10Say to them, Thus says Yahvah God, Even so the prince will carry such luggage in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel with him. 11Say to them, I am a sign to you; just as I have done, so it will be done to you; you will go into captivity. 12And the leader who is among you will carry his luggage on his shoulder, and will go forth in the dark, and will make a breach through the wall and go out through it; he will cover his face, that he may not see the ground. 13And I will spread my net over him, and he will be caught in it; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet he will not see the land, and there he will die. 14And I will scatter towards every wind all that are about him to help him and give him strength; and I will draw out the sword after them. 15And they will know that I am Yahvah, when I will scatter them among the nations and disperse them in the countries. 16But I will spare a few men of them from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the Gentiles where they go; and they will know that I am Yahvah.

17Moreover, the word of Yahvah came to me, saying, 18Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fear of scarcity; 19And say to the people of the land, Thus says Yahvah God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and concerning the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with fear of lack, and drink their water with terror, for the land will be desolate from all that is in it, because of the iniquity of all those who live in it. 20And the cities that are inhabited will be laid waste, and the land will become desolate; and you will know that I am Yahvah.

21And the word of Yahvah came to me, saying, 22Son of man, what is that proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision will fall? 23Tell them therefore, Thus says Yahvah God, I will make this proverb cease, and they will not use it as a proverb in Israel any longer; but say to them, The days are at hand when every vision will come true. 24For there will not be any false vision nor doubtful divination among the children of Israel any longer. 25For I am Yahvah; I have spoken, and the word which I speak I will perform; and I will not delay any longer; for in your days, oh rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, says Yahvah God. 26Again the word of Yahvah came on me, saying, 27Son of man, look, the children of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for the distant future, and he prophesies of the times that are far off. 28Therefore, say to them, Thus says Yahvah God, None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word which I have spoken I will soon fulfill, says Yahvah God.
