1 Genesis 7:1-24 ¹וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ לְנֹ֔חַ בֹּֽא־ אַתָּ֥ה וְכָל־ בֵּיתְךָ֖ אֶל־ הַתֵּבָ֑ה כִּֽי־ אֹתְךָ֥ רָאִ֛יתִי צַדִּ֥יק לְפָנַ֖י בַּדּ֥וֹר הַזֶּֽה׃ ²מִכֹּ֣ל׀ הַבְּהֵמָ֣ה הַטְּהוֹרָ֗ה תִּֽקַּח־ לְךָ֛ שִׁבְעָ֥ה שִׁבְעָ֖ה אִ֣ישׁ וְאִשְׁתּ֑וֹ וּמִן־ הַבְּהֵמָ֡ה אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹ֣א טְהֹרָ֥ה הִ֛וא שְׁנַ֖יִם אִ֥ישׁ וְאִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ ³גַּ֣ם מֵע֧וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם שִׁבְעָ֥ה שִׁבְעָ֖ה זָכָ֣ר וּנְקֵבָ֑ה לְחַיּ֥וֹת זֶ֖רַע עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י כָל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ ⁴כִּי֩ לְיָמִ֨ים ע֜וֹד שִׁבְעָ֗ה אָֽנֹכִי֙ מַמְטִ֣יר עַל־ הָאָ֔רֶץ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֔וֹם וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים לָ֑יְלָה וּמָחִ֗יתִי אֶֽת־ כָּל־ הַיְקוּם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֔יתִי מֵעַ֖ל פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ ⁵וַיַּ֖עַשׂ נֹ֑חַ כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־ צִוָּ֖הוּ יְהוָֽה׃ ⁶וְנֹ֕חַ בֶּן־ שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וְהַמַּבּ֣וּל הָיָ֔ה מַ֖יִם עַל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ ⁷וַיָּ֣בֹא נֹ֗חַ וּ֠בָנָיו וְאִשְׁתּ֧וֹ וּנְשֵֽׁי־ בָנָ֛יו אִתּ֖וֹ אֶל־ הַתֵּבָ֑ה מִפְּנֵ֖י מֵ֥י הַמַּבּֽוּל׃ ⁸מִן־ הַבְּהֵמָה֙ הַטְּהוֹרָ֔ה וּמִן־ הַ֨בְּהֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵינֶ֖נָּה טְהֹרָ֑ה וּמִ֨ן־ הָע֔וֹף וְכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־ רֹמֵ֖שׂ עַל־ הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ ⁹שְׁנַ֨יִם שְׁנַ֜יִם בָּ֧אוּ אֶל־ נֹ֛חַ אֶל־ הַתֵּבָ֖ה זָכָ֣ר וּנְקֵבָ֑ה כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת־ נֹֽחַ׃ ¹⁰וַֽיְהִ֖י לְשִׁבְעַ֣ת הַיָּמִ֑ים וּמֵ֣י הַמַּבּ֔וּל הָי֖וּ עַל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ ¹¹בִּשְׁנַ֨ת שֵׁשׁ־ מֵא֤וֹת שָׁנָה֙ לְחַיֵּי־ נֹ֔חַ בַּחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י בְּשִׁבְעָֽה־ עָשָׂ֥ר י֖וֹם לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה נִבְקְעוּ֙ כָּֽל־ מַעְיְנֹת֙ תְּה֣וֹם רַבָּ֔ה וַאֲרֻבֹּ֥ת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם נִפְתָּֽחוּ׃ ¹²וַֽיְהִ֥י הַגֶּ֖שֶׁם עַל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֔וֹם וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים לָֽיְלָה׃ ¹³בְּעֶ֨צֶם הַיּ֤וֹם הַזֶּה֙ בָּ֣א נֹ֔חַ וְשֵׁם־ וְחָ֥ם וָיֶ֖פֶת בְּנֵי־ נֹ֑חַ וְאֵ֣שֶׁת נֹ֗חַ וּשְׁלֹ֧שֶׁת נְשֵֽׁי־ בָנָ֛יו אִתָּ֖ם אֶל־ הַתֵּבָֽה׃ ¹⁴הֵ֜מָּה וְכָל־ הַֽחַיָּ֣ה לְמִינָ֗הּ וְכָל־ הַבְּהֵמָה֙ לְמִינָ֔הּ וְכָל־ הָרֶ֛מֶשׂ הָרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל־ הָאָ֖רֶץ לְמִינֵ֑הוּ וְכָל־ הָע֣וֹף לְמִינֵ֔הוּ כֹּ֖ל צִפּ֥וֹר כָּל־ כָּנָֽף׃ ¹⁵וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ אֶל־ נֹ֖חַ אֶל־ הַתֵּבָ֑ה שְׁנַ֤יִם שְׁנַ֙יִם֙ מִכָּל־ הַבָּשָׂ֔ר אֲשֶׁר־ בּ֖וֹ ר֥וּחַ חַיִּֽים׃ ¹⁶וְהַבָּאִ֗ים זָכָ֨ר וּנְקֵבָ֤ה מִכָּל־ בָּשָׂר֙ בָּ֔אוּ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה אֹת֖וֹ אֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיִּסְגֹּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה בַּֽעֲדֽוֹ׃ ¹⁷וַֽיְהִ֧י הַמַּבּ֛וּל אַרְבָּעִ֥ים י֖וֹם עַל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּרְבּ֣וּ הַמַּ֗יִם וַיִּשְׂאוּ֙ אֶת־ הַתֵּבָ֔ה וַתָּ֖רָם מֵעַ֥ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃ ¹⁸וַיִּגְבְּר֥וּ הַמַּ֛יִם וַיִּרְבּ֥וּ מְאֹ֖ד עַל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וַתֵּ֥לֶךְ הַתֵּבָ֖ה עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י הַמָּֽיִם׃ ¹⁹וְהַמַּ֗יִם גָּ֥בְר֛וּ מְאֹ֥ד מְאֹ֖ד עַל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיְכֻסּ֗וּ כָּל־ הֶֽהָרִים֙ הַגְּבֹהִ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־ תַּ֖חַת כָּל־ הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ ²⁰חֲמֵ֨שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֤ה אַמָּה֙ מִלְמַ֔עְלָה גָּבְר֖וּ הַמָּ֑יִם וַיְכֻסּ֖וּ הֶהָרִֽים׃ ²¹וַיִּגְוַ֞ע כָּל־ בָּשָׂ֣ר׀ הָרֹמֵ֣שׂ עַל־ הָאָ֗רֶץ בָּע֤וֹף וּבַבְּהֵמָה֙ וּבַ֣חַיָּ֔ה וּבְכָל־ הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֣ץ עַל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וְכֹ֖ל הָאָדָֽם׃ ²²כֹּ֡ל אֲשֶׁר֩ נִשְׁמַת־ ר֨וּחַ חַיִּ֜ים בְּאַפָּ֗יו מִכֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר בֶּחָֽרָבָ֖ה מֵֽתוּ׃ ²³וַיִּ֜מַח אֶֽת־ כָּל־ הַיְק֣וּם׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ עַל־ פְּנֵ֣י הָֽאֲדָמָ֗ה מֵאָדָ֤ם עַד־ בְּהֵמָה֙ עַד־ רֶ֙מֶשׂ֙ וְעַד־ ע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וַיִּמָּח֖וּ מִן־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִשָּׁ֧אֶר אַךְ־ נֹ֛חַ וַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ בַּתֵּבָֽה׃ ²⁴וַיִּגְבְּר֥וּ הַמַּ֖יִם עַל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמְאַ֖ת יֽוֹם׃ (WLC)

1 Genesis 7:1

1 Genesis 7:1-24 ¹And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. ²Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. ³Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. ⁴For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. ⁵And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him. ⁶And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

⁷And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. ⁸Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, ⁹There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. ¹⁰And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

¹¹In the six hundredth year of Noahs life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. ¹²And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. ¹³In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noahs wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; ¹⁴They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort. ¹⁵And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. ¹⁶And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. ¹⁷And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. ¹⁸And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. ¹⁹And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. ²⁰Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. ²¹And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: ²²All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. ²³And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. ²⁴And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.(KJV)

⁷And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. ⁸Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, ⁹There went in 2 and 2 unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. ¹⁰And it came to pass after 7 days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

¹¹In year 600 of Noah's life, in month 2, day 17 of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. ¹²And the rain was upon the earth 40 days and 40 nights. ¹³In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the 3 wives of his sons with them, into the ark; ¹⁴They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort. ¹⁵And they went in unto Noah into the ark, 2 and 2 of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. ¹⁶And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. ¹⁷And the flood was 40 days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. ¹⁸And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. ¹⁹And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. ²⁰15 cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. ²¹And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: ²²All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. ²³And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. ²⁴And the waters prevailed upon the earth 150 days.(KJV/NC)

⁵¶ And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him. ⁶And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth. ⁷And Noah, with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood. ⁸Of clean animals, and of unclean animals, and of fowls, and of everything that creeps upon the earth, ⁹There went in two and two with Noah into the ark, the males and the females, as God had commanded Noah. ¹⁰And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

Then the LORD shut him in.

¹⁷¶ And the flood lasted forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased and bore up the ark so that it was lifted up above the earth. ¹⁸And the waters prevailed and rose higher upon the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters. ¹⁹And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; so that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. ²⁰Fifteen cubits above the mountains did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

²¹¶ And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle and of wild beast and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth and every man: ²²Everything in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was on the dry land, died. ²³And every living thing was destroyed that was upon the face of the ground, both man and animals and the creeping things and the fowl of the air; they were destroyed from the earth; and Noah only remained, and those who were with him in the ark. ²⁴And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days. ¹¹In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened. ¹²And rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights. ¹³On the very same day Noah and his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered the ark, ¹⁴they and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle according to their kinds, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind, every bird of every sort. ¹⁵They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life. ¹⁶And they that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the LORD shut him in.

¹⁷The flood continued forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. ¹⁸The waters prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters. ¹⁹And the waters prevailed so mightily upon the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered; ²⁰the waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits deep. ²¹And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, birds, cattle, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm upon the earth, and every man; ²²everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died. ²³He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the ark. ²⁴And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.(RSV)

1 Genesis 7:1-24 ¹The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. ²Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, ³and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. ⁴Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."

⁵And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him.

⁶Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth. ⁷And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood. ⁸Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, ⁹male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah. ¹⁰And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.

¹¹In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month -- on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. ¹²And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

¹³On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark. ¹⁴They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings. ¹⁵Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark. ¹⁶The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.

¹⁷For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. ¹⁸The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. ¹⁹They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. ²⁰The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet. ²¹Every living thing that moved on the earth perished -- birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. ²²Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. ²³Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

1 Genesis 7:1-24 ¹Yahweh said to Noah, 'Come with all of your household into the ark, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation. ²You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female. ³Also of the birds of the sky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive on the surface of all the earth. ⁴In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. Every living thing that I have made, I will destroy from the surface of the ground.'

⁵Noah did everything that Yahweh commanded him.

⁶Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth. ⁷Noah went into the ark with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, because of the waters of the flood. ⁸Clean animals, animals that are not clean, birds, and everything that creeps on the ground ⁹went by pairs to Noah into the ark, male and female, as God commanded Noah. ¹⁰It happened after the seven days, that the waters of the flood came on the earth. ¹¹In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep were burst open, and the sky's windows were opened. ¹²The rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

¹³In the same day Noah, and Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark; ¹⁴they, and every animal after its kind, all the cattle after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort. ¹⁵They went to Noah into the ark, by pairs of all flesh with the breath of life in them. ¹⁶Those who went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him; and Yahweh shut him in. ¹⁷The flood was forty days on the earth. The waters increased, and lifted up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth. ¹⁸The waters prevailed, and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark floated on the surface of the waters. ¹⁹The waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth. All the high mountains that were under the whole sky were covered. ²⁰The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered. ²¹All flesh died that moved on the earth, including birds, cattle, animals, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man. ²²All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died. ²³Every living thing was destroyed that was on the surface of the ground, including man, cattle, creeping things, and birds of the sky. ¹¹In the 600th year of Noah's life, in the 2nd month, the 17th day of the month, on that very day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth and the windows of heaven were opened. ¹²And the rain fell on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.

¹³On that same day entered Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the 3 wives of his sons with him, into the ark; ¹⁴They and every animal after its kind and all the cattle after their kind and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort. ¹⁵They went with Noah into the ark, 2 by 2 of all flesh in which there is the breath of life. ¹⁶And those who entered, males and females of every living thing went in, as God had commanded him. Then Yahvah shut him in.

¹⁷And the flood lasted 40 days on the earth; and the waters increased and bore up the ark so that it was lifted up above the earth. ¹⁸And the waters prevailed and rose higher on the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters. ¹⁹And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth; so that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. ²⁰15 cubits above the mountains the waters prevailed; and the mountains were covered.

²¹And all flesh died that moved on the earth, both of birds and of cattle and of wild animal and of every creeping thing that creeps on the earth and every man: ²²Everything in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was on the dry land, died. ²³And every living thing was destroyed that was on the face of the ground, both man and animals and the creeping things and the birds of the air; they were destroyed from the earth; and Noah only remained, and those who were with him in the ark. ²⁴And the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days.
